This is an amazing restaurant. It is owned by the previous owners of Old Harbor Cafe, and they know how to run a restaurant. I have been here 3 times, twice I ordered a clam strip plate, and once a lobster rolls. All prices are incredibly reasonable and the food and service are amazing. Sadly very disappointed when we had our hopes up after reading decent reviews... we should have taken the empty parking lot as a sign. When we asked if the combo would be enough for 2 people we were told "oh yea, plenty". We ordered a combo plate of fried scallops and clams. The plate was 3/4 French fries and 1/4 seafood. The scallops were tough and the bellies of the clams were minimal, not to mention between my husband and I, we each maybe got 3 clams and 3 scallops each. Not worth the stop. Super delicious clam rolls! Fresh and flavorful, generous portions and well priced. Loved that they offer sweet potato fries which is one of my favorite things and unusual to find at a clam shack. Their sweet potato fries were very crisp and yummy! Food was seasoned perfectly (not too salty). The service is fast and friendly. The restaurant feels very clean. I'll definitely return. My fried fish sandwich was de-lish: a big piece, lightly breaded, hot and crispy on a toasted bun w/real tomato slice, romaine lettuce, homemade tartar sauce for $7. Kids and hubby got fish and chips. Fries were just fries, but each had a big portion of fried fish chunks, lightly battered and crisp. Coleslaw seemed fresh, too, lightly sweetened & crunchy, just like it should be. Esp surprised to get brewed ice tea here! We've been to several places where the only tea option is fountain. Ate lunch at Liam's on Nauset Beach and it was excellent , ate dinner here and I was not impressed. Since i am on cape about every weekend I was hoping this would be a low key local place to get some great seafood at reasonable prices. Definitely low key but I won't be back . Chips (fries) were decent. Service was fast and very friendly. The downsides were that the clams & calamari had dirt granules in them, were rubbery, and tasted "fishy" in the way that nearly bad / poorly cooked seafood can get. The haddock seemed good, although everything was very oily. read more

If you love fish and chips, this is a must to visit. It comes with cole slaw, fries, onion rings and the best tartar sauce we've ever had. The owner should bottle it and sell it - I'd buy! The lobster roll is a perfect size and the roll is toasted and lightly buttered, which I love. The onion rings are thin and crisp. Other reviews said the fries were just okay, but we found them to be good. Kids got hot dog (also on a buttered roll and my picky 4 year old are the whole thing) and chicken fingers, very crisp and the six year old finished them. You order inside and can sit in or out on a covered patio. No view but it's pleasant. The location is conveniently on the way to Chatham, right outside of town but before the busyness of town. Has a good size parking lot which is also good. I would have included a picture of the food but we demolished everything before I thought of it! All in all a delicious lunch. read more

I've been waiting all fall and winter to eat at Chatham F&S and it was worth the wait. I've had fish n chips in every other restaurant within 20 miles and NONE compare! Fish is flaky fresh, perfect texture and crispness of batter. Tartar sauce is homemade and fabulous. Onion rings and fries perfectly crisp.
