    Baked Cod
    Shayer S.

Captain Parker's doesn't take reservations so expect a wait. We had a party of 8 and waited about 40 minutes. The service throughout was great and our food came out in a reasonable amount of time. We started with the fried calamari and it was one of the best preparations I've had. It came with diced tomatoes and banana pepper rings which added a nice freshness and a little kick. For mains, the baked cod was excellent. The panko crust was crispy, the fish was fresh, and it came with well seasoned mashed potatoes and vegetables. The Fisherman's Platter was also fantastic. It came with fried cod, shrimp, scallops, clam strips, and two sides. I picked buttered rice and mashed potatoes, both of which were really good. Everything was fried perfectly and it also came with tartar sauce and a spicy sauce. It's a huge portion, so I'd recommend sharing it with another person. The kids fish and chips were good. The kids mac and cheese was the biggest disappointment. It tasted like Kraft or something very similar and felt severely overpriced for what it was. Someone else ordered the Crunchy Fish Sandwich which looked really good, although I didn't get to try it. For drinks I had the Citrus Mule and didn't really care for it. Overall, I really liked the menu. There was a good variety of seafood and non-seafood options, everything tasted fresh, and the service was excellent. Cost was roughly $36 per person which felt fair considering the quality and portions. We enjoyed this meal more than Skipper and I'd definitely come back.

Capt Parker's Pub was a great dining experience. The clam chowder was absolutely amazing, hands down the best I've ever had. We also ordered lobster rolls, fish & chips and baked stuffed shrimp. Everything was delicious. The restaurant has a cool unique atmosphere that adds to the experience. The waitstaff was friendly and helpful. They easily accommodated our party of 8. Our waitress provided great service throughout the meal. It's definitely worth the stop!

Stopped in yesterday for a late lunch/ early dinner- probably the optimal time to eat while avoiding crowds on the Cape! The BEST clam chowder I have ever had. The chowder has the perfect potato to clam ratio, well seasoned and did not taste fishy. I can see why it has won awards! My husband enjoyed his chicken sandwich, but commented that the chicken was too thin, like a pounded down chicken cutlet. My Brie burger was in hockey puck territory for asking medium, but it was alright. The burger and the marinara sauce for the mozzarella sticks had an overpowering taste of garlic and onion powder, which are my go- to seasonings when cooking, but it tasted off to me. I would definitely come back the next time I am in the area for their chowder! They have ample amounts of seating, clean restrooms and friendly service.

Stopped into Captain Parker's Pub and everything we ordered was fantastic. I did the hot lobster roll with sweet potato wedge fries and coleslaw plus the clam chowder combo, and my son had the children's fish and chips. The portions were very generous and we both left full with food to spare. We started with the onion rings, which came out as a big basket super crispy, well-seasoned, and not greasy at all. My hot lobster roll was loaded with tender lobster and perfectly buttery, and the sweet potato wedge fries were a great match. The clam chowder was thick, flavorful, and packed with clams, absolutely living up to their reputation. My son really enjoyed his fish and chips from the kids' menu -- crunchy on the outside, moist inside, and plenty of fries. Service was excellent from start to finish. The ambiance was casual and lively but not too loud, with a classic pub feel that still felt very family-friendly. The restaurant is quite large with a spacious dining area, so even when it was busy we didn't feel crowded. Our waitress was friendly, attentive, and on point the whole time, keeping drinks topped off. Overall, a great, family-friendly spot with delicious Cape Cod seafood and more than enough food for the price. We'll definitely be back if we're ever in town again.

Fries Cod sandwich with onion ring upgrade and bowl of clam chowder (so thick the spoon stood up!!$

We went to lunch because it seems to be a requirement here on the Cape to go the Captain Parker's! I am glad we did but a few notes. The place was crazy busy at 1;45pm (25 min wait although we got seated right away). I ordered a bowl of clam chowder which we delicious and so much, I brought half of it home. There would be no way I could eat that and anything else! My husband got the fried fish cod sandwich, the fish was cooked perfectly but it was no frills, one wilted of lettuce and tartar sauce. He upgraded to onion rings which were good. We'd go back for lunch, order only the chowdah and call it a day. Fun experience though!

I just got home from my annual pilgrimage to Cape Cod and of course it requires a stop at Captain Parker's. They did their usual bang up job., the service was friendly, the food was fresh and tasty, and the price was reasonable.. I left with a free souvenir when I noticed what was written on the glass, my favorite expression when traveling the Mass Pike. Oh and I saw the patch from my department that I had donated a few years ago,Donate a patch and get a free pint.. their collection is truly outstanding. You can't swing a dead cat without hitting a patch, not that I advocate, swinging cats, dead or alive, it's just an expression, I'm already looking forward to next year's trip.

The restaurant is really beautiful and inviting. There's plenty of parking and the staff works efficiently and quickly. Service is okay and they are able to turnover tables quickly. The clam chowder is really the best, it's rich and creamy, a must order. The lobster roll is delicious with good portions and warm butter to dip. The fries are cut in an interesting shape and were cooked well.

This is a nice, well lit Restaurant, easily accessible from the main strip. The food was very good, and they have a great craft beer selection. My only complaint was as a lobster lover. For the price of the lobster side dish, the serving size felt somewhat small relative to other restaurants in the area. But the quality of the chowder, the shrimp, cocktails, and the lobster itself was quite good.

There are a lot of touristy places in Yarmouth, but this is not one of them! I love the atmosphere, service was great. Kudos to our server Adam. The food and drinks were also very good with prices that are quite affordable. We will be returning !!

This was a fine restaurant ambiance wise, no real flavor but not crowded. The service was super friendly and intuitive. The meal started well. I had a cup of their chowder and a rare thing happened. I really enjoyed it without any changes. No salt, no crackers, no butter. I can easily see why this herbaceous, creamy chowder with nicely cubed potatoes and plentiful clams has won awards. The oysters were briney and meaty. I was like this is going well. Then I got my prime rib I requested be medium rare. Was this medium in the middle and medium well at the edges? Yes. Was I easily able to cut and eat it? No. Is it a good thing there was plenty of au jus because the meat was too dry and chewy without it? Yes. On top of that, the potatoes were overly starchy and the mixed vegetables were tough. Ultimately the negatives over shadowed the positives.

The restaurant was quite busy when we arrived, but since we had reservations we were seated right away. Our server was friendly and took the time to walk us through the menu and highlight the nightly specials. In the end, we all decided on the prix fixe menu, which included an appetizer, entrée, and dessert--an excellent value considering the quality and generous portion sizes. After placing our orders, our server returned with our drinks along with a basket of warm rolls and soft butter, a nice touch to start the meal. The atmosphere is warm and cozy, and the interior is surprisingly spacious. From the outside, you'd never guess how large the restaurant actually is. To start, I ordered the short rib and fontina arancini, which were outstanding. The portion was generous--honestly large enough to be a meal on its own. My wife began with the Caesar salad, which was crisp, fresh, and nicely balanced without being overly dressed. For our main course, my wife and I both chose the crab-stuffed sole. It was excellent and, once again, the portion size was impressive. We even had enough leftovers to make another meal the next day. By the end of the meal we were so full that we decided to take our desserts--New York-style cheesecake and tiramisu--home to enjoy later. There's plenty of parking available, and I'd definitely recommend making reservations, especially on busy nights. Overall, it was a great meal with generous portions, friendly service, and a comfortable atmosphere. I'd happily return

It was a good place to go out with friends and have some wings, but I wasn't impressed whatsoever. My family and I were on vacation looking for a place to go that's different from Seafood, so we went back to Tap City to give it another shot. It was incredible. It was possibly one of my favorite restaurants I've tried during my vacation. We got a lot of different dishes, so I was able to try a bunch of them. I myself ordered a "build your own" Pizza. I got Hot Italian Sausage and Pepperoni. It was a very good size for the amount of money you spend. It was delicious. The sauce was amazing, the cheese blend was good and the toppings were both fresh! The crust was a bit soggy however. It was fine, it just was a bit floppy. I tried the Brussel Sprout appetizer and it may have been the best thing on the menu. They were addictive. I could've just ordered those and have been satisfied. I tried the Chicken Tenders and they were alright, but you could tell they are frozen and not homemade. The Fries were good, but just normal fries you'd expect at a bar and grille. Although I personally didn't try it, one of the guests I was with was in love with the Hamburger. This place is a must stop on your vacation if you're looking for a break from Seafood. It has a nice atmosphere and has been packed every time I've walked by. So why am I only giving this a four? Our waitress was not good. She had zero emotion and looked like she wanted to be anywhere other than at her job. I waited 20 minutes to get a refill on my drink because she never checked on us until we finished our food. The service at Tap City Grille should be improved.
