This is a quaint little ice cream shop right on the main street in Chatham. It's very small and has seating for maybe 7 people. We chose to eat our ice cream inside because of the 90+ temps. But there are a few tables and chairs just outside the ice cream shop where you can people watch while enjoying your ice cream There were a number of flavors, a few of which were sugar free. The gentleman behind the counter was friendly and engaged in conversation. When a family came in behind us he was quick to answer their questions about the flavors They asked why he didn't have soft serve. His response " Do you know who cleans those machines? High school, teenage kids Do you know what that means? They aren't getting thoroughly cleaned. It's not worth the liability." He was very cordial in his response and gave the impression that he was more concerned about serving a quality product consistently, and one scoop at a time. I got the mint chocolate chip which was delicious . $8 for a small and it was a perfect serving. My husband got a small black raspberry that I found a bit too sweet but he loved it. There are a number of ice cream shops on the cape and you'll probably find your favorite. All I can say is this was a nice treat that I enjoyed. The interior of this cute little spot is very classic New England. They make everything fresh and there's so many interesting flavors I hadn't seen before. The crepes were delicious and you can add ice cream to them, that said there aren't a huge variety of ice cream free crepe flavors/options/toppings but that's a non issue. I got the fluffernutter ice cream and it had thick swirls of marshmallow and was pretty light on the peanut butter flavor. Overall would come back again! The first thing we noticed was the smell. It smelled so bad: sour damp socks. There were no other customers there. We asked to sample 2 flavors. The worker in charge seemed reluctant but relented. I wish she hadn't--the samples were so small it was hardly possible to taste the flavors. It was really quite bizarre. They weren't particularly great so we asked to try 1 more but were denied. We ordered a small scoop in a cone...then saw the cost: over 8 bucks. For the smallest-sized scoop? Was that a made-up cost? The ice cream wasn't terrible but wasn't great. When checking out, the server told me there is a $10 credit card minimum. I hate when places do this! I can understand if it's $5, but $10 seems a bit too much. Our total was already almost $8. A lady came over (assuming she's the owner) and told him it was ok, that we could pay with card. We took a seat and waited just a moment for our cup of coffee. After stopping at another sandwich shop that was way too complicated for its own good, the uncomplicated approach here was welcome. They are very proud of their burgers and rightfully so. Angus beef with a magic marinade lets this burger be cooked to highest level of well that is demanded by the State. Be mindful that these are half pound burgers. They could be easily split with two normal humans. After all, who eats two quarter pounders and one time? The fried shrimp were uniquely seasoned and yummy and the fries were simply brilliant. Kids loved their hotdogs and chips. The stinger was the $50 bill. But like I say, it's Chatham, lovey. That's the only reason for the dropped stars. The cappuccino chunk, moose tracks, and purple cow ice cream were all fantastic flavors. After the burger size insanity, I carefully selected kiddie sizes for everyone.
