Stopped in for a quick snack and bite. Service was prompt and friendly. Order up at the counter then pick it up when ready. We ordered their clam chowder (delicious) , the fried clam strips, and the fried whole-belly clams. Yeah, it's not health food, but it was exactly what we were craving. Prices were quite a bit higher than we expected, but it's been a while since so maybe that's what it costs now. Ideally would give it 3.5 stars, but will round up given how friendly everyone was. The setting is very comfortable inside with plenty of booths and tables. Simple and on point.

My wife decided on the fried chicken plate. Can you believe that! It was actually excellent. Nice and juicy with a great crunch. Onion rings were also awesome! Will try the seafood next year.

When your in Dennis Port Ma Make this place your Go To! There are a few broiled plates for the gluten free guest Otherwise you can go crazy of all the fried goodness choices I went for the haddock sandwich as you can see they give you a nice filet on a soft roll The BiG 3 fried shrimp, calamari and clams I ended up using their chipotle sauce for my dipping pleasure! I was speaking to the owner about the fat and perfectly cooked clams he came out with a tub Fresh clams to show me they aren't frozen cheap stuff Came for lunch and will be back for dinner and a shake

It was Father's day and I had a craving for fried seafood. My wife daughter and I decided to take a drive down to Dennis to give The Original Seafood Restaurant a shot. We have always driven by it but never stopped in for some odd reason. There was plenty of parking when we arrived, and when we walked in we were greeted with a friendly smile. My wife and I decided to split the regular seafood platter (They also have a half size). My daughter got the chicken tenders with onion rings instead of fries as she does not like seafood. There was so much food we couldn't even finish it. The food was fresh and tasty. The counter staff was very friendly and accommodating. The place was very well kept and very clean. If you are in the Dennis area stop by and check them out. I know we will again.

    GREASE

I waver back and forth between three (3) and four (4) stars for The Original Seafood. The word of this venue is GREASE. Here you can absolutely satiate your deepest and darkest desires for oil and smoke and fat and batter--all available menu items are fried. In fact, purportedly because of COVID-19, there is not a grilled item in sight: viral transmission is apparently greater via GRILL than GREASE, and as such The Grill is out of service. Very sad, and a single star has been deducted from this review for this reason. Nevertheless, for GREASE, The Original Seafood indeed delivers. At a reasonable price point for the market, you can get fried fishes or shrimps or clams or squids or potatoes or onions. No octopus though! It must be noted that the food is only tasty because of GREASE. In fact, all of the food tastes the same! I ate a fish and a squid tentacle and a squid torso and a potato and an onion and they all tasted the same! Flavor profile is Salt & Grease. Who knows what the quality of the seafood is because you cannot taste it, even if you try. Low effort and low cost, but the masses will come back stricken with desire for another rush of GREASE-driven dopamine. I used some ketchup and tartar sauce and even a little bit of marinara sauce to provide some diversity of flavor to the GREASE. The ambience is simple and the staff chronically mischarge customers and immediately realize their mistakes and make it known and apologize and charge you the difference. Learn from mistakes, they say, but said advice goes unheeded and unheeded again. Alas! When it comes down to it, The Original Seafood is a good annual venue at a good price point, with hefty and calorie-rich portions. Customers leave feeling oiled and greased and ready to face the world.

Take 3 - fried shrimp, clams, calamari. Bowl of clam chowder.

This is abysmal flavorless fried seafood. I really don't know why people flock to this joint for seafood anything when there are a plethora of so many other good seafood joints in the area. Long John Silver's would taste better than this place. I'm not an angry yelper or trying to be mean. I'm not a food snob. Bad food is just bad food. We spent almost $40 here and walked away wanting to kick ourselves for taking a stranger's recommendation to come here. We're from out of town, spending a week in Yarmouth so we wanted to soak up as much local seafood as possible. Our server in another restaurant raved about The Original Seafood. Our dinner consisted of clam chowder, side salads, and fried shrimp/calamari/clams. The clam chowder tastes like grocery store average clam chowder. So go to the grocery store and pay less there. Don't buy it here. Our side salads (EXPENSIVE $6 each) consisted of just washed lettuce leaves - not cut, these were broken up big pieces. You can't mess up lettuce leaves but you also don't need to pay $6 for lettuce leaves! Go back to the grocery store and buy a bag salad that you'll enjoy more. Now the shrimp/calamari/clams - an expensive mess of fried tastelessness. If I closed my eyes and ate one, I wouldn't be able to distinguish clams from calamari. It all tasted the same. We spent 5 days in Cape Code; ate out almost every meal. This was hands down the worst thing and overpriced meal we consumed. I truly don't know what people see in this joint.

While trying things on the menu I was happy to pick the shrimp tacos. They were perfectly cooked with pico, cotija cheese, and siracha aioli. The crust on the batter was flaky and light. Not a heavy batter and it didn't overpower the flavor of the shrimp. The shrimp tacos are not gluten free and they have a minimal amount of gluten-free options available. Most of their sandwiches have a gluten-free roll available for an extra two dollars. If you have a severe gluten allergy/ celiac disease, I probably would not risk most of the menu items. Thankfully, we were also able to order a rice bowl with plain swordfish and had no allergy related side effects afterwards. The kids menu is also great for options for littles while dining here. The view is nice, crowded if you're seated outdoors but the staff is awesome which makes it feel more like you're going to a friends house to eat. I'd come here again for drinks on the patio as their drink menu looked so good. A great stop for an outdoor lunch or quick stop with friends.

We ended up there on a Wed (happened to be our anniversary) so I only experienced the à la carte menu. Highly recommend reservations as it's a small restaurant. Parking is limited but you can park in the lot of a nearby furniture store ( across the street and a half a block east). Our server ( Maeve) is very pleasant and helpful. All staff members we encountered greeted us and seem happy to be working there. Not a full bar but many nice choices. We enjoyed Pinot noir from Oregon. We had delicious oysters, a fresh salad, Portuguese clams, and a swordfish dish. Also had a "fancy" Hoodsie dessert that was quite good. All our items were first rate. Other dishes served at neighboring tables also looked great. Noise level in restaurant is very tolerable. Pricing seemed very reasonable given quality. **** It merits stating that this restaurant( Lune) is well staffed for the number of customers they serve. We had terribly slow service the night before at Viera on Main ( Chatham) because they don't have enough staff. Lune provided very attentive service to go with their high food quality and flavor.

The meal was almost perfect--nearly all of the courses were introduced expertly and executed with haute precision. The prix fixe menu is offered on weekends, and it looked, as you can see, exciting. My favorite courses were the caviar and dessert. The white asparagus course was inspired and delicious, though it needed another minute or two to achieve a perfect texture. The sous vide veal breast was a miss. The ratio of meat to fat skewed too heavily toward fat. The diners I observed around me at the bar all left fat on their plates. That said, the sauce and spinach accompaniments were delicious. The bread, optional caviar, and dessert courses were brilliant. The wine pairings fell a bit flat, I thought--they were all good, but none compelled me to ask for more or to see the labels for later purchase. I loved watching the culinary theater from the bar seating. It was a bit more hectic than I recall from my last visit, but it was clear that the staff were working hard and collaborating effectively. A talented local artist's work on the walls here could definitely elevate the ambiance.
