Alright so they make you order and pay upfront. So we had ordered a few more items. So we got our Raj Kachori. Had cold potato and a bad mix of chutneys. There was no water jugs or taps anywhere. The best chaat we've had in a long time! The Pani Puri/Golgappe are the best in the entire WORLD. They serve them to you while you stand, if you prefer, or at your table. Papdi Chaat, Chhole Bature and Mix Chaat are some of my other favorites from the menu there. They do offer other favorites such as Tikki Chhole, various paranthas, thaali (really nice home cooked meal), etc. I've been coming to their locations for 25+ years and the quality has stayed very consistent throughout. The service is awesome as the aunties there are really willing to engage with their customers on what exactly they're looking for and will make off-menu combinations to your choice if it's not too busy. If you want to order, you go to the counter and write your name and order on a notepad and give it to them. They'll make you pay then and they'll call your name when ready. They do a lot of to go so they do an excellent job of packing things for you. Tell them how soon you'll be eating so they can decide to put the sauce on the side. Their pani puri is authentic and best i have eaten so far in the Bay Area. The owner lady serves pani puri how this street food is served back in India. Their thali and parathas are delicious. This is just cash only place. Kachori chole were just okay. Kachori were too oily and thick. Taste is quite authentic Indian taste. They definitely needs to work on their customer service. The owner may come across as little rude, if I may add food covers it up to it. I definitely over ate. The highlight was pani puri for me! She's been away at college & moved to Sac & the owners remember her & ask about her whenever I frequent. We got the bhel, in which the sev was stale(gone bad) so it ruined the whole taste of the bhel. Got the pav bhaji which was so bad. We saw the lady pull it out of the fridge to heat it up. Very hole in the way, but better than standing in the middle of a grocery store for chaat. The pani puri is amazing the combination of their years old family receipe for the sauce and the serving style makes it a great combination. Raj Kachori - with yogurt, soaked bread, potato, fried vermicelli, large puri, onion, and potato. The yogurt gave it a nice sour flavor and made it a good cool dish to have, the onion gave it a good crunch. Nice sour/sweet flavor, and just a little bit spicy too. We are going to this place for pani poori and paratha from last 8-10 yrs and food always remains good. Specially paani poori. We tried lot of places in Bay Area for paani poori and non place is close to this. During Covid they were only doing take out but now it is fully open and one can have delicious pani poori while you paratha is getting ready. I wish I had good things to say but I couldn't even get food. We came at around 6:50 - 7pm on a Saturday, and had no idea where to sit or what to do. It wasn't until I went up near the kitchen where I had realized people just write their order on a random notepad and hand it in. Like not even intstructions for visitors? And there was no seating and we had to wait for maybe 1 hour because there were 10 orders in front and serving Pani Puri with bare hands and no gloves takes time. Even though it is the street food experience. My suggestion is to try going at an off time, definitely not at peak time because then it would be chaotic. We have now moved two hours away and sometimes I crave their chaat and pani puri so much that my family and I drive two hours just to eat there. Each time their food is worth the trip to the Bay. I have been coming to Chatpatta Corner for 15 years and I have got to say the food has gone downhill. Ordered some chaats - sevpuri, aloo tikki, dahi bhalla chat. The puris used smelled of old oil, aloo tikki were hard and tasteless and it looked like a hurried job of throwing stuff together. An absolute complete mess!! They have hiked up their prices to 10 dollars per chaat. I get that we are all suffering from inflation but charging 10 dollars for a chaat plate is very steep. Wait, been here a couple of times and have always had to wait, they always seem to be short staffed with 2 people manning the chat counter and cash register and a few in the kitchen 2. Cash only, this place does not accept credit cards of any sort, is a bit of an off putter for me since they charge tax on each purchase and always have exact change, i dont mind paying an 50c for CC convenience 3. The service here needs improvement and better structure, for eg i ordered and paani puri and chat and while i was waiting on my table i got called up to the counter for paninpuri, after finishing i came back to my table with chaat in hand to sit and eat but my table was taken and we ate in our car. Reading some of these reviews makes me really mad. Running a profitable low-end restaurant in the Bay Area will either have great food or great service or neither. This place makes amazing food for $6 a plate. Stop complaining guys. That said, however, I want to play to this place's strengths. The Pani Puri is honestly their star child, and competes with my great-grandmas stuff back in India. The lady behind the counter serves it up as if you were on the streets of Delhi. The puris were crispy and the mix of filling, chutneys, and pani were incredible. The rotis were soft and had a touch of ghee, and the mutter paneer was served up Punjabi style. We also ordered the sev puri chaat and papdi chaat to try it and both were made to perfection. The balance of yogurt to brown chutney and green chutney was struck perfectly, and the texture was amazing. Fremont is 30mi out of my way, and I guarantee you I will be coming back for more...it was that good. read more

Chatpatta Corner is an absolute favorite of my family's for at least 6 years! It reminds us of the pani puri/sev puri lari's in Bardoli, India. The pani puri and chaat items are our go-to's and always full of spice and flavor. We will make a special trip and go out of our way just to eat here.
