The best thing about the food is how they can scale the level of spiciness higher (and they can go HIGH) while maintaining proper flavor balance. Very nice thai food. Ordered pnang curry and drunken pad thai noodles and ice coffee. Everything was very good. This was the best pnang curry, we have had. Such good blend of spices and finely chopped veggies. You must be careful with spice level. We ordered 7 and we eat spicy food but this was too much, especially drunken noodles. The server had already warned me about spice levels but i usually can handle 7 in other thai restaurants. She was super nice. Also very cool and soothing ambience. I usually don't like giving one star reviews for service, being used to very casual service from Germany, but this place really needs to get their stuff together. We arrived around 5:30 with a pretty large group, and three hungry kids. The lone lady doing the service was clearly overwhelmed, she also admitted to us she's on day three on the job and out of her depth. That's ok in principle, but management should definitely not let such a novice try to throw the party by herself. We had to wait about 10 minutes to get seats, a group of four that arrived later got randomly seated by the busboy, on the only group of tables that could have been moved to accommodate our party (there were multiple other tables available). Another party volunteered to move for us to be able to sit down. Unfortunately, sitting down doesn't mean that you get to eat (took until roughly 1 1/2 hours later). When the food arrived, it turned out that the order was messed up (one guy ordered a Pad Thai, the server didn't know the menu, and wrote down a Khao Pad Thai). When they finally fixed the order, the actual Pad Thai that came turned out to be super spicy (was ordered non-spicy), and thus inedible for a first grader. Very frustrating experience. My Panäng Curry was not bad, however the rice was nothing to write home about, and the few veggies that usually accompany a Panäng Curry were nonexistent, and the protein was not plentiful. The Larb was ok, the Papaya salad (the one thing that should be super spicy) was very bland (Disclaimer: We spent over two months in Thailand, we know the basics). The food itself has potential, the two chefs seemed to know what they're doing, but is completely diminished by the utter chaos in the restaurant. We should have listened to the guy sitting behind us, stating "This is better than any soap opera!". read more

Great restaurant. Food is outstanding. We live in LA and have Thai food about once a month at different places and this place is GOOD. Overall the restaurant is small but very clean and great prices. We had pad Thai, crab fried rice, drunken noodles, and sate. Everything was very good. You can ask for level of spicy, Thai can get mighty HOT. The food and quality here is far better than sympathy at the winery. We will definitely be back and do take out. We went on a Saturday night around 6, the place was empty however by the time we left it was full. My only request would be for a few more red wines for the menu, but other than that it's very good. read more

Visited this Thai restaurant on the way to Death Valley. The reason why we chose it is the 4.5 star review on yelp. It was really a weird experience. There were 6 to 7 tables of guests in the room, but only one table got food on the table. All other guests were waiting for the food. We waited for 40 minutes after ordering, but even the appetizer didn't show up. We can't wait for any longer, so we had to walk away, after two other table's guests. Worst experience I ever had, waited for food almost an hour and half and waiter showed up and told me we don't have the dishes I have order for, I am not pissed off the fact that it's ran out, but we shouldn't have made us waited for this long... please beware to go to this place when it's crowded or any vacation time like thanksgivings. We had an awesome lunch here on our way to Death Valley! It's a small and cozy place. The servers were very nice and friendly. We had a guy take our order but forgot to ask for the level of spiciness so we told another girl server and she took care of it. There was a party of about 10-12 ladies on one table and we were worried we were gonna be waiting for a while since they were there before us and their food would have to come out first, but we were pleasantly surprised. Our soup from the lunch special came shortly before theirs, as well as our entrees. Everything was delicious! We had the beef panang and it was so tasty I could drown in that sauce lol we also had the pad prig King with nice and crispy pork belly. The pork was cut thinner than I've seen so it got really crispy but not tough to eat. We had the pad Thai lunch special as well. The lunch special comes with tom yum soup and your choice of chicken satay skewer or egg roll, we got the chicken satay. The soup was delicious and mildly spicy. The chicken satay was nice and tender and came with a delicious peanut sauce. The pad Thai was spicier than our other dishes. Loved the chewiness of the noodles. The only thing, as Gary M. mentioned, was the chicken are like scraps of dark meat in the soup and the pad Thai. You don't get much. Other than that everything was great! We finished our meal with the sweet rice and custard. It was a weird combination of sweet and salty, but we loved it. I got an iced coffee to go and it was good as well, really really sweet. The guy server who took our order said the entrees didn't come with rice so we ordered two sides of rice but the girl server who took care of us the rest of the time brought our check and we didn't get charged for the rice so I'm not sure if the guy just misunderstood lol overall a great and reasonably priced lunch :D read more

Who would have thought there was a terrific Thai restaurant in Pahrump, NV? The reviews didn't lie. I had the spring rolls and fried pork belly. Just delicious. Wife had pad see-eww noodle dish that was just as good as anything I've eaten in San Francisco. Best part was the owner's seven year old son who came out in an apron with a small hand towel asking each guest how was the food and if they needed anything. The portion sizes are enormous and the Thai iced tea and Thai coffee are also delicious. The pad see-yew was a bit heavy on noodles instead of meat, but damn was it tasty as well. I go to Chatthai every time I'm in Pahrump---Front Sight Frequent Flyer. Tasty dishes. Charming storefront and interior. Somewhat inconsistent in menu items as far as spiciness and temperature. I will continue to go there as it is really tasty food. After a long day on the range we are always starving and need a cold beer and hot food. 4 stars for now and would love to see it as a 5'er next trip. read more

Best Thai spot in Pahrump. This place would be a solid 4 stars in any big city. In Pahrump, it definitely deserves all 5! Food is tasty, generous portions with really fresh and well cooked vegetables. I had the Pad See Ew and it was among the best I've had. The service is super attentive, well above any other establishment I've been to in town. The ambiance is tasteful. The Thai? music adds to the environment and is low enough to talk normally. This was the best Thai food I've had since moving to Vegas 7 years . I had the yellow curry with chicken with a spice level of 10 and thus is the first time I have gotten food that actually made my tongue tingle. We were at Death Valley vacationing and we decided to drive to Pahrump for sightseeing. It's about an hour drive and totally worth it!! This small quaint restaurant located next to Domino's and everything we ordered was delicious!!! My kids who are picky eater gobbled everything up. I guess the hiking in Death Valley also contributed to their appetite. Service was prompt and friendly. Sadly we don't think we will be back in this area anytime soon :( read more
