Signature Brown Sugar Bubble Milk Tea
    Lonnie K.

There's a BOGO deal on the grand opening weekend, the cheaper drink will be free out of the two. Fast service from friendly staff. Your # will get called by the staff and it also shows up on the LED screen. They've tons of different fruit lemon teas, some milk teas, and even fruit teas with cheese foam. They can't do no ice, only less ice which is already taking up more than half of the room in the cup. How's that supposed to be less ice? Maybe the fruit teas will taste better because I've definitely chosen the wrong drink to try from the menu. Except for the bouncy-textured bubbles, this "Signature" Brown Sugar Bubble Milk Tea isn't technically very memorable & probably the worst I've ever tasted in Flushing and all of NYC. At least you can reuse the insulated tote that the drink comes with it... I did 70% sugar (but still tastes so diluted + bland because of the "less ice" situation). Can't taste any of the brown sugar syrup either despite shaking the drink thoroughly - very subpar overall). Milk flavor is overpowering the tea, like what tea are you talking about? Just very watery in general. My 2nd drink is the Juicy Strawberry Lemon Tea for the BOGO promotion. Less ice & 50% sugar, this one tastes kinda underwhelming too. Did I say I was hoping that the fruit lemon tea might've tasted better? Boy, am I wrong. Mhm the fruit flavor doesn't seem to have a fresh + authentic taste, maybe because they're using syrups instead? Tiny space inside with merely a storefront. Don't think you'll miss the lime green color though. It's across from the parking lot on the same street as well as the Sheraton Hotel. They accept both cash and card for the payment. My Conclusion: You might be better off spending money around the corner at Auntea Jenny.....

Came by to kick off my food crawl in Flushing recently - perfect to have a drink to cool down from the heat and carry the drink around as you hit your first few spots. I got the standard lemon green tea that is most advertised and it was nice - not too sweet, refreshing, nice bitter tea flavor. So glad another chain from China has made its home in Flushing. I love lemon tea so I love that this place is here, and really close to a lot of prime food crawl spots that you'll want to hit up. My friend got the guava lemon tea as well and that was pretty solid, too. While I think it's hard to stand out in an excelling wave of amazing drink shops coming from the East, I do think Taning Lemon Tea is offering something that other places aren't and is worth visiting. Not sure why all the negative reviews. There was no wait when we visited around 6pm on a weekday.

Another new addition to Flushing's growing bubble tea street. Got four drinks as they are currently doing a BOGO free promotion (only 1 free drink per order). Long wait for the drinks to be made as they only had 4 staff members handling the grand opening crowd. There were TV screens to keep track of orders but a bit of a delay as the "ready" screens weren't updated in real time. Drinks were packed into a cooling bag which was nice. The lemon tea drinks had cute NY themed cup holders. Got all my drinks with less ice (but apparently less ice= half cup of ice...) and 70% sugar. Green grape jasmine lemon tea- lemon was the strongest flavor of this drink. There were tiny pieces of grapes to help counteract the tartness of the lemon but overall the drink wasn't too sour. Couldn't really taste the jasmine tea. Signature oolong lemon tea- oolong tea with the addition of lemon flavor. Not as sweet as Vita Tea's lemon tea. Mango pomelo sago- besides sago as a topping they also had crystal boba. Lots of mango was used to make this drink so it was very creamy. They were very generous with the toppings (crystal boba, sago), mangoes and pomelo for this drink. Less ice compared to the lemon tea drinks. Brown sugar milk tea- go to Tiger Sugar instead. Overall I think their lemon teas will be more popular in the summer but there isn't really anything that really makes the place stand out amongst all the bubble tea shops in the area.

This is another new boba/ lemon drink spot on Prince Street. I was quite interested in the cup design and that it is focus on lemon tea. I ordered the signature lemon oolong tea (#1). It was okay. I didn't find anything special. It kinda reminds me of Lipton tea. It lacks oolong tea taste. I also share my drink with my partner and he said the same thing. The service was pretty fast. Despite a large number of customers waiting, I only had to wait around five minutes for my drink. I really liked the packaging. Although I'm not quite sure about my drink. I will try again next time to see if it is better or try another drink on the menu.

Walked into their "soft opening" and got 20% off except they weren't offering some of the items. I went safe and got their signature lemon oolong tea. . It was ok, wasn't strong on the tart aspect, more tea tasting, but it was good and refreshing on a hot summers day. There was a decent about of pulp but the pulp didn't have any flavor. It was dried up. The pulp didn't have any burst of juice in them... . My friend got the guava lemon tea, she didn't really like it, it was too sweet, kinda artificial sweet, might be just syrup and not the real fruit juice. But that's just a speculation. She also said she has seeds in her drink. . They do offer milk and fruit teas as well. I'm not sure if would try their other drinks aside from the lemon teas... the one I really wanted was the jumbo lemon tea, but I really wanted it for the gram .

New drink place originating from China that opened at the corner of Prince Street and 39th Ave in Downtown Flushing. They are known for their lemon tea which is perfect for the summer time if you want a fruity refreshing drink rather than a heavy milk tea. However, if you prefer bubble tea they have that option as well. The menu is not too big with a variety of flavored lemon teas and they only offer one size which makes it simpler if you have a hard time deciding. They also offer some snacks like eggs waffles. The place is quite small so it's a order and go type of place. The employees were friendly too and recommended me the top 5 drinks. I got the #1 signature oolong lemon tea with 50% sugar and regular ice and it was the perfect amount of sweetness. They also have an ongoing promotion where if you buy two drinks you get a mahjong Lego set, but only 50 each day! Will definitely come back to try other flavored drinks as a refresher when I'm strolling around.

Now Open in Flushing! Taning Lemon Tea--famous across the globe with 800+ locations--has officially landed in NYC with its one and onlystore right here in Flushing! Known for their hand-punched lemon tea drinks, Taning serves up refreshing, freshly brewed fruit teas that are perfect for summer. From Signature Lemon Tea to Fresh Fruit Lemon Teas and even Brown Sugar Bubble Milk Tea, there's something for everyone. My personal fave? The Signature Oolong Lemon Tea--so crisp and citrusy!

Really enjoyed the drinks here! Everything tasted fresh and made to order. The Watermelon Series was super refreshing and had a nice natural sweetness, perfect for a hot day. I was also surprised by the Avocado & Kale Series it was creamy, smooth, and actually really easy to drink. The Signature Lemon Tea is also solid if you want something more classic and citrusy. Overall, a great place for fun and creative drink options

Pretty refreshing tea! Got 5 different flavors and my favorite was c10 smashed wampi lemon tea 爆打黃皮檸檬茶, 30% sugar level was just right and with less ice. Really popular spot and lots of orders, good to try if you're looking for a new spot to check out!

I thought this place was very charming. It's obviously a small business trying to stand out in the sea of bubble teas that are available around Prince Street in Flushing. I was drawn in by the bright green color and cute packaging in store. I'm a boba fanatic and like to think I be tried most brands... so "lemon tea" specifically is something I haven't seen much of yet. I ordered the coconut lemon tea and mango lemon tea. You get to see the workers crush lemons and make the tea in front of you, and my coconut one had what I think was coconut water with jelly in it, and the mango lemon tea had bits of mango too. I thought they were both refreshing and very yummy. Service was fast and friendly but maybe I had less conversation because the workers had limited English, which is fine, they were still plenty friendly and efficient. I'd def go back and support this place again.

    Frangipani Jasmine Lemon Tea

Finally tried this new spot which has lines out the door usually! It's a very small shop where you're just meant to order and leave, so understand that there's not really space inside to wait. Believe the line is driven by their opening special where they are giving out some sort of small toy in exchange for purchase of specific items, but I didn't want the toy so tried the frangipani as my friend recommended. Maybe it was because I got reduced sugar or maybe I just ordered the wrong drink, but it tasted as I would imagine some sort of natural insect repellant to taste. Despite the absolute heatwave this past week, I was tempted to just toss the entire drink due to the taste.

    Michelle Y.

They had a BOGO, I ordered their Signature Oolong Lemon Tea and Mango Pomelo with sago with 70% sugar for both. It tasted like it was 30% sugar. I thought it was ok. Next time I will leave it as regular sugar

    Jessica L.

Came here excited to try a new lemon tea place. Regret! Nothing special. Saw they have a promo of buy 2 jumbo but was out of the Mahjong Lego thing but they were out. So just tried their signature drink and I got my usual minimal sugar. What a disappointment. I've had from a lot of places with sugar and low sugar it should not leave the tongue overstimulated and bitterness. I barely drank mine and I had to throw it out. Not gonna be back at all. I'll just get my lemon tea from my other normal places over this.

When the food arrived it was piping hot we had to wait a bit before eating the fried foods. The salad was a good portion very satisfying, the cod, shrimp fish & chips was kind of disappointing there was only 3 shrimps and 1 piece of cod with fries buried under them. The fried squid was okay, kind of dry, and a takoyaki was pretty good. We got the English breakfast tea which was pretty standard, we also got the fruit tea which was kind of overwhelming I think the mix of fruits was a bit too much so avoid the Prince Passion Fruit Tea. For dessert we got the matcha ice cream, tiramisu, and the trio combo with the red bean ice cream pate de choux, the green tea financier, and the fruit tart. The fruit tart was very tiny and had a unriped mango on it, the green tea financier was pretty good, and the red bean ice cream pate de choux was okay, I think next time we'll just get 3 of the ice cream pate de choux because it's more worth the value. The tiramisu was kind of bland there was no espresso flavor in it. Overall the staff were very friendly and paid close attention to our table to make sure plates were cleared and took attention to when we wanted anything else. The ambiance is pretty nice, and the decor is cute. But next time we will probably avoid the fish & chips, fruit tart, fruit tea and tiramisu. Our bill came up to $100 for 3 people we probably would have spent about the same amount of money at a restaurant with real food, but it was nice how we were able to get small appetizers.

Headquarters' Allegations: According to court documents, the corporate office revoked the operators' trademark rights after claiming: - Unauthorized Expansions: The US operator opened a Los Angeles location without prior corporate approval. - Unapproved Ingredients: The franchise was sourcing ingredients independently, violating strict corporate quality and recipe standards. - Hiding Profits: Headquarters accused the operators of voiding their contract by allegedly hiding store revenues and bypassing royalty payments. My brother and I walked around the Greenpoint area and then he had to go pick up his kiddo from camp, so I explored the area then put Kettl into google maps thinking I was coming early for class to avoid the rain. I accidentally went to the wrong location and then it started pouring. The staff told me the other location was 10 minutes away by foot, so I hauled myself to it in pouring rain. Luckily I wore workout clothes and tennis shoes that day, but my raincoat was water resistant, not waterproof, so I got pretty soaked. I still arrived a few minutes early, and the staff let me take some napkins to dry myself off. The class was at the bar in the back of this flagship location. It was set up for two, but I was the only person who showed. Jayanna led me through a very detailed class, provided handouts and a soba tea cookie along with water, and answered a ton of questions I had. As a daily matcha maker, I knew I had a lot to learn. She showed me how to care for the different tools used to make matcha. We made three preparations: sparkling matcha, shaken matcha, and matcha latte. We went through each with various steps and measurements. She demonstrated what to do and then I would make the drinks for both of us. It was a very fun experience and I learned a lot. I also got to shop after the class with a 15% discount, so I got myself a custom single cultivar matcha called okuju made exclusively for Kettl and especially for lattes, and then some individually wrapped fancy tea bags of matcha genmai and hojicha for Eric when he travels. The class had an hour and a half of instruction and I spent a half hour asking about products and shopping. It is a very nice space and I would love to try some of the unique drinks on the menu plus take more classes. It also wasn't creamy enough for a latte. The shiso white peach matcha soda was a fun experimental drink, but I feel like for a matcha drink, the matcha flavor was definitely dominated by the shiso and white peach flavors. It was really refreshing though for a hot summer day. Super adorable store! I want to try the matcha tasting one day!
