So I'm a little bit annoyed at this Cuppa Tea because I had placed an order in for an iced milk tea in a glass bottle. It turns out I accidentally ordered a hot milk tea in a glass bottle and that was totally my mistake. The staff told me that if I wanted the iced milk tea, I would have to put it in another order and pay. So I decided to just keep the hot one, but then I asked how come the tea wasn't in a glass bottle and they simply said they don't have it. I'm not sure why it's listed as an option to get. I usually like to get the tea in the glass bottle because I like to recycle them to use them in my house but I also know it's a little bit more expensive. The fact that it's still listed, even though they don't have the product is a bit annoying. So I essentially partially paid more for a product that I did not get.
I am a big fan of Hong Kong egg waffles and had high hopes for all of the flavors they offered. I got the plain one and was disappointed--the batter tastes more like a Belgian waffle than the Hong Kong style and was soggy/soft even when it was freshly made. Was looking forward to the taro bubble tea but it was the only menu item that was sold out--maybe that's the star that everyone comes here for. I got the mango drink and it was solid
I came here for a sweet drink after dinner and it was great! I didn't see if they had seating inside, but my friend and I sat outside under their patio lights and at a picnic table, and it was a great vibe. We ordered their hot and cold iced milk teas that came in a glass container, and both loved it. The tea flavor was very fragrant and it wasn't too sweet (I asked for mine to be less sweet). Would love to come back to try their egg waffles.
This was the 1st time coming here. It's small and cluttered but it's one of my friends' favorite places so I had to try it. Lots of good choices but I went with a simple strawberry slush. It was refreshing and not ridiculously sweet. I could have had a large one. I also had the classic egg waffle. I felt like this took long to make but it was delicious when I finally did get it. I missed the grape slush w/ grape jelly which I didn't see on the menu when I was there but then saw on their website menu. I would to have loved to have tried that. There's two person informal seating right in the front but not a relaxing place where you would want to sit and chill. We literally stood there, ate and drank our purchases and left. They have some cute merch. I would have gotten a tote if I already didn't have so many, lol

I ordered a Hong Kong milk tea with boba. The drinks can't be adjusted for sugar level, which is always unfortunate, but the person making the drinks told me that the hot Hong Kong milk tea could be made without sugar. The boba was on the soft side, especially with the heat, and the tea was bracingly strong, on the verge of scorched, but that was exactly the pick-me-up I was looking for.
Came in on a weekend evening a couple hours before closing. Only had two workers and they seemed pretty slammed with orders. Ordered the egg tart waffle which is I think only around for a limited time. Waffle took about 15min to get although I feel like they just let it sit on the wire rack for way too long while the workers were doing other orders. The waffle itself was fluffy although slightly mangled coming out of the waffle iron. Didn't really get a ton of egg tart flavor though. The space itself was pretty dirty and could've definitely used a sweeping. But I figure with just two workers focused on orders things just fell through the cracks. There are some seats. The back has a bunch of game rooms which is confusing. It's all in Chinese so maybe I just need to be more literate. At any rate, I might come back here for a snack or something if I'm passing by, but probably not something I'd recommend especially going out of the way for.
This is a great authentic Hong Kong breakfast/ dessert cafe! In Hong Kong, these are the types of street foods and breakfast foods you'd eat so it was a great taste of home! The milk tea has a strong tea taste and uses condensed milk as a sweetener. If you're into tea and authentic tasting milk tea, I would highly recommend it because this is the real thing. The pineapple butter bun was also good, but I feel like there are better places for pineapple buns in NY! Nevertheless, it was still really good and soft.

The Mango Passionfruit Jelly Iced Tea was refreshing - I got it with 0% added sugar, since the fruit syrup had the perfect amount of sweetness already. The Curry Fishballs were delicious and was a perfect warm snack on a cold day. Their Pineapple Butter Bun and Egg Waffle (made fresh) both paired perfectly with their drinks! They have a back area with more seating and some board games, as well as a clean restroom for customers. Staff here is very friendly!
There's lots of bubble tea places in LIC but what distinguishes this one is the "signature Hong Kong milk tea" here. Looks like they make the tea fresh frequently. You get real tea- none of that watered down stuff! There's only one sugar level- it's very lightly sweetened. It comes in a nice glass jar that makes it easy sip throughout the day. Definitely more than what you'd get at other places for a lower price as well. The staff working was very nice and took time to explain to me the different options. They seemed happy to work here. Would come back to try the pastries- they appear popular here
This is one of my favorite places for HK milk tea. It used to come in a glass bottle, but now it's in a paper cup. It is still one of the best HK milk teas around. I get it with less sugar. Their egg waffles are pretty good too. They have a new flavor with egg tart filling. It's so yummy and makes the egg waffle more moist and sweeter. Such a good treat. They also have a new savory pineapple bun with an egg and tomato inside, like a breakfast sandwich. It's pretty good, but it's pricey about $9. I still like my pineapple bun plain. They have some seatings by the window and also a big table outside. Staff are nice. read more

My biggest gripe is that it's dirty. There were many flies flying around and the ground was sticky, the counter had all sorts of crumbs all over it. I think this business needs a cleanliness overhaul. The boba was nice enough, nothing ground breaking and typically priced. It smelled amazing in there due to the waffle making. Weirdly a wall of board games but there's barely enough space to sit let alone play games. And also selling vapes in the back which seems like a strange combo for a boba shop. read more

Cuppa Tea has some awesome breakfast items including a delicious pineapple bun & fish balls (obviously very different items haha). It's a tiny store but there is some seating available. I'd go back to try other items. read more

They have the best egg waffles, filled with all types of fillings! We tried the egg tart one and it was amazing. My favorite is the salted egg and we also tried the orange green tea. It was refreshing but I enjoy their milk teas more. read more

Authentic Hong Kong style breakfast & boba & dessert & coffee place! They really have some good deals going on, you can check their app for their daily specials , such as $4 any drink on Thursdays. So far I have tried their hazelnut coffee, pineapple butter bun, and pineapple fruit jelly tea, loved all of them. The pineapple butter bun was a pleasant surprise, I never knew butter can taste so good. The servers there are incredibly helpful and patient. I have not dined in, but this place could be great for friends hangout. read more
Great new tea and snack spot in the Court Square area! I tried the cold signature HK milk tea, classic egg waffle and pineapple butter bun. The employee who helped me was very friendly. The bun was actually my favorite, though the waffle was also great. Milk tea was tasty as well and the glass bottle is fun. Need to try the passionfruit slush and chocolate waffle next time. read more
Ive only tried the pineapple butter bun. It was delicious. The butter had a slight saltiness to it, which went well with the slight sweetness of the pineapple bun. It's served warmed up, with the butter room temp/cold. Only has like 2 seats inside at a high top table. They serve lots of drinks and also egg waffle sundaes. read more

Ordered a mango slush. Had it immediately and it was all liquid - more like a cold mango syrup consistency, no slush. Probably blended it too much. But wasn't chippy at all. Gf ordered a boba milk tea and was good. Service: Machine kiosk ordered, service was good. Ambiance: Small hole in the wall shop, nice coffee shop with outdoor seating. read more
The Sweet Velvet Milk Tea was pretty good. Tasted like milk tea from your local Fay Da Chinese bakery but more concentrated. The container is cute and it's made from glass so it's reusable. Definitely a selling point for us. We were the only one there so service was really fast. The staff actually gave us our drink immediately after we ordered on the kiosk. Overall, highly recommend! Finally, I found a spot that serves curry fishballs with my preferred curry sauce texture. By far, other places that I had tried served a watery and light curry flavor sauce. When I ordered from Cuppa Tea, I didn't have any expectations. It turned out that its sauce was what I had been craving. I love the thick texture of the sauce, and it's good enough to create a semi-paste on each of the fishballs. read more
Rating: 3.5 This place is a nice option to have if you're specifically craving Hong Kong milk tea (i.e. really strong milk tea). I got the HK milk tea with boba, which doesn't come in a glass bottle (I think you get the glass bottle if you get it without boba). You can't adjust the sugar level, which was fine for me because the drink was only slightly sweet, which is my preference. However, I didn't like the boba - it was chewy and cooked well but they definitely didn't soak it in syrup because it was tasteless and I honestly couldn't finish the drink. It's also on the pricey side at around $7.75 for a small boba milk tea. I also tried the pineapple bun, which was fine but the buns in Chinatown are better and cheaper. read more
When Cuppa tea first opened, I lined up early to be one of the first customers because I love HK milk tea! The Tangram Flushing location always has a lot of people and is busy, so was thrilled to see they opened one right across from where I live. I wanted to give this place a couple of months before writing this review. Quality wise I think the drinks are all at the same standard and the signature HK milk tea is rich and strong. Operationally they still have a lot of work. They're constantly behind on orders, and each order takes about 10 minutes to make. Even despite the mobile virtual POS system, they need to either hire more workers or improve on their system. With so many bubble tea joints in the area would love to see this bbt place stay open for a long time! read more
This is a Postmates/Uber delivery. I ordered the signature HK style milk tea, pork song waffle, and pineapple butter bun. It is more expensive via delivery so I'd definitely swing by in person when I'm in the area next time. All the flavors are there as my morning snack of choice. I reheated everything on my own to obtain the warmth as if it's straight out of the oven. The only thing I was surprised and slightly unhappy about was the container of the signature cold milk tea. It's advertised in a glass bottle on their own app and the photo on the Postmates was the same. I was hoping to collect and save but it came in a plastic bbtea container. read more

I have been to this location before and it's just good as the one in Flushing. I usually order on my app so I don't have to wait on line. Sometimes they are very busy! It's a cute little stand alone shop in LIC. The HK style milk tea in the bottle is yummy. I usually get the fresh lemon iced black tea and the egg waffle is still so good. Gotta eat it right away! I am happy to see another cuppa location I can go to whenever I'm in this area. read more

RATING 9/10 PRO TIP: Download the app for $4 off! If you're used to HK milk tea, know that their standard is less sweet and more caffeinated than the stuff you get at Chinese bakeries. If you're looking for a bit of boost of sweetness but still not too sweet get the velvet milk tea which has two milks! VELVET MILK TEA It's like the hk milk tea you know and love but expertly and artfully brewed, with two types of milk to add a boost of sweetness. As someone who likes not too sweet things I found their regular milk tea to be not sweet enough, personally. Their tea is strong! So get ready for a caffeine boost. Cuppa Tea just opened a location in LIC, serving hong kong milk tea and hong kong style snacks. They freshly brew their tea so the entire shop has a wonderful tea scent. I was first drawn to the Flushing location inside Tangram mall because of their cute glass bottle designs, and the strong tea flavor of their hong kong milk tea keeps bringing me back. If you prefer a sweeter tea, the velvet milk tea is perfect for you. The pineapple buns were great with the slab of butter. read more

LIC location is finally open, menu is the same as the flushing location. They have one kiosk outside the store front for you to order however you can also order inside. It gets very busy and certain times of the day they may run out of their cold signature hk milk tea that comes in a glass bottle. The wait time is similar to flushing so expect around 15 mins for your order or longer if you order their waffles. The inside of the store gets hot/humid so I would wait outside. They do have a back area that is still closed but there are Asian snacks and many board games available so I'm excited to see how it is when they are done setting it up. read more

Let it be known there is a Convenience Fee for kiosk purchases. Not so convenient if you intend to comeback as a regular customer to try other items on their menu. It may not seem much at a time, but it accumulates for those who earn a modest living and treat themselves on occasion. Cuppa will take 10% off your next drink as confirmed by the server when I asked if the glass bottle can be returned and reused. Though I'm not sure if it applies to boba and slush drinks--only for drinks that are available in glass bottles in the 1st place. It wouldn't make sense to serve this for one-time use as I was thinking what a waste it would be if that were the case (I was going to reuse regardless). I didn't see other reviews mentioning this. I will see if this holds--hopefully it will. Lastly, there were no wait times to endure. I went on weekday evening. It was a bit humid out and I just wish the drink was colder. read more

Extremely delicious. Pineapple bun, egg waffle, Hong Kong milk tea, coffee with tea, sooooo good. 100% same hk tea I had drank in hong kong cafés. LOVE Cuppa. Front of store have a bar table, back of store have seating for board games. Very cute and friendly atmosphere. Excellent service. They make the waffle when u order. read more
