Sticky rice mango smoothie, Avocado paradise
    Kelly L.

This place took over the old Bambu... it has remnants of the old Bambu menu but also more extensive matcha and coffee menu. My friend and I loved the desserts we got - Sticky mango rice smoothie and Avocado paradise. Both were perfect sweetness and had a great balance of toppings. Took off one star due to the wait here. They only have one ordering kiosk... which causes a long line. It is also frustrating that people aren't deciding what they want while they are waiting to use the kiosk - maybe offering paper menus would help with that? A lot of the delay is the singular kiosk and people dilly-dallying once it is their turn on the kiosk. Once you order though, your dessert comes pretty fast.

Salted Cream Coffee and Sticky Rice Mango Smoothie.

This cafe is so cute and has a kiosk for easy ordering or if you prefer to order at register. They have a large selection of yummy drinks with plenty of options depending on what you like - sweet, salty, tangy. There's something for everyone here!

We ordered using the kiosk, which was quick and easy. The space is on the smaller side and fills up fast, so we ended up taking our drinks to go. It was pretty busy when we visited, so there was a bit of a wait for our drinks, but the woman who handed us our order was very kind. She apologized for the wait and thanked us for our patience, mentioning that it usually doesn't take that long. I ordered the mango sticky rice smoothie, and wow, it was so good! It wasn't overly sweet, and I loved that there was actual sticky rice at the bottom. I was honestly surprised by how much I enjoyed it. The flavor was unique, refreshing, and perfectly balanced. I've already told my husband that I want to go back because I could seriously drink this smoothie every day. Highly recommend giving it a try!

    Banana matcha & Pandan coffee

I saw social media posts about this place and decided my boyfriend and I needed to go ASAP. I love matcha and love a place that offers a bunch of fun flavors! We got there and it was VERY busy but it also was still considered their soft opening I think. The space is quite small but it was clean and well decorated. The had a little stands with different asian snacks which I thought was fun. The menu is pretty big but, I decided to get the banana matcha & my boyfriend got a pandan Viet coffee that came with a little waffle. The wait was a little longer because it was so busy but not horrific. We finally got our drinks and my boyfriend ate his waffle which he said was good but, just a waffle. As for the drinks, my boyfriend enjoyed his coffee and said it was good! The matcha was really good but it was more so a dessert than a matcha. I drank it incredibly and strangely fast and realized how much ice and toppings were in the cup. I think they definitely could do with a little less so you get more of the actual drink because for the kind of expensive price, that was simply not enough of the actual drink. It was also extremely sweet which was pretty expected, but the matcha itself was lost completely flavor wise. I want to come here and try the desserts instead of the matches!

I was coming here before the swap over when it was Bambu and I'm happy to say that I really enjoy the soft opening. I came during the lunch hours so it wasn't overrun with people. The staff and owners are still the same people who are sweet and kind. Of course parking in the Eat Street area is always challenging. I got the Coco Island because it was similar to something I liked on the old menu, they gave me more grass jelly and I loved that! The Mango Sticky Rice though! 10/10! I would definitely come back for it again! For some reason I didn't think it through and tried to drink it with a straw and forgot that the sticky rice will get stuck, so recommended to use a spoon. Overall, I think the change is good and I'm excited to try the new drinks on the menu!

    Matcha Banana Pudding

Ordered a Matcha Banana Pudding at 25%. It was still pretty good but sweeter than what expected. Used to be bambu which looks like they still have some of the drinks they used to carry. I'll have to come back and try more.

We loved the Shakshuka and the open-face sandwich.. both were delicious, fresh, and hit the spot. Service was decent as well, keeping things moving even though they were busy. The bakery case looks incredible, and I'm already planning a trip back to try some treats and grab a few drinks. Definitely a spot worth returning to for more.

My friend made the reservation last minute and not wanting to cause any back and forth, I just went with it despite having mixed feelings about the establishment. The reservation was at 2pm on a weekend. When I arrived, the things felt chaotic. Oddly, there was a sign in front of the dining area stating closed, despite diners being there. After finally finding staff to check in with, I interacted with 3 members of their team that were all confused about the reservation. I was asked several times for the reservation details and group size. Each time I had to repeat I dont know, a friend made it, and why couldn't they just look in their system. No one ever bothered to look for anything. It al felt unwelcoming, disorganized, and suspicious. A waitress finally brought me to a table and left 4 menus one being a dinner menu. Then a guy came over with two glasses to fill with water. When I asked what time the area closes, he advised (with uncertainty) kitchen closes at 2:00, 2:30. Then the waitress came back and said when my friends arrive are we okay ordering from the cafe side. I thought that was bizarre and just said we'll handle things when she (who made the reservation) comes. My group came not long after. However, as I waited I noticed that the menu stated breakfast/brunch ends at 3pm. So why were they behaving like that?!!! Ultimately we stayed, but we all felt very uncomfortable about the ordeal. When the waitress came to take orders, another friend called out the behavior and questioned the reason for their behavior considering brunch goes until 3pm. The response was a bunch of mumbling, just above a whisper. She said something along the lines of wanting the kitchen crew to use the time to instead wrap up/close shop. Then why advertise brunch goes until 3p if you dont want to accept patrons past 2pm?!!! To add insult to injury, while we were seated and food had already come out, we saw them escort two other groups into the area. Facing the entrance I didn't see any of the back and forth that I had received. Interesting, huh! As for the food, I got the grilled cheese and fries, which the waiter assumed was for the teen at the table and just placed it before him. The sandwich was 3/5... no issues there, but the experience overshadowed it. I would not return or recommend this place. If someone know makes a reservation, I'm shooting it down or opting out.
