Wow, great food ! We ordered take out and I told the lady on phone that we wanted 6 of their top 3 empanadas . They were REALLY good. One was really spicy, I could handle it but 2 ladies thought it was too spicy. Very clean boutique restaurant . My son in law had one of their sandwiches and loved it. This place is fantastic! I went here with a large group of about 17 from my church. It is a smaller place so I called ahead and we could not get there till 7:30 p.m. And they close at 8. Went there on recommendation of my son. I went for the rib eye steak. Absolutely the worst steak I have ever had in my life (and I'm not young). It was a 16oz steak. I sampled bits from all portions thinking it would get better. It didn't. Basically it was a canner cutter grade, as low as it gets. I chewed for a few minutes and deposited on the remains on the side of my plate. After about 6 attempts I decided it wasn't going to get any better. I told the waitress and she said she was sorry. Food & service = awesome!! My girl and I slid in a quarter till closing and they accommodated us kindly. The family made great suggestions for which empanadas to try first on the menu. Four empanadas later I was happily full. The empanadas were baked, not fried, which provided a light and flaky pastry that complimented the filling rather than overpowering it. We finished off the meal with jelly short bread pastries and caramel/coconut shaving cookies for desert. We will definitely be back because this dinner was a hit. read more

I placed a to go order for empanadas at 6:45, and let them know that I would be there around 7:45 to pick them up. When I arrived at 7:40, they had just put them in the oven so they would be fresh. While I was waiting Alicia was great, telling me about their restaurant and foods. When the empanadas were ready, I took them home and my wife and I could not believe how great they were. Each one was magnificent. And both their chimichurri and red sauce were out of this world. FYI, we had intended to get an assortment of fried and bakes, but when I called the order in Alicia informed me that they just had baked. After having the baked, so glad they did not have fried! The bread is amazing and the fillings even better. If you are in the neighborhood, try it. Also, my wife and I shared 7 empanadas and wished we had another 7. Not because they were small, but because they were so good. Moral of the story, order twice as many as you think you want, because you will be wanting more. My favorites empanadas are the salteña, spinach and cheese, and the Italian. Everything is fresh and handmade, and you can taste that everything is made with love and dedication here. The empanadas are delicious on their own and don't NEED sauce, but you'd be doing yourself a disservice by not trying the house-made chimichurri sauce. Honestly the best I've ever had. Fantastic. My first visit I ordered the filet mignon and it was incredible. It melted in my mouth like butter. I had heard that before but never experienced it. The spices were great and it was cooked to a perfect "medium." Before the steak was done, I had just about decided that it might be a disappointment, very low expectations, so I ordered one empanada (the first one on the list) and it was great. I took half the steak and French fries home. Their bread is like it was made by Angels. The atmosphere is very nice, the people friendly, spotlessly clean and by 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, the place was half full, even in the drizzling rain. I could tell some of the folks were regulars and although I did not get one this time, the pizzas were being enjoyed by a number of patrons with cheese stringing from pizza to face. I was told that all the meats are cooked the same way, spices, etc., so any of the meat should be well worth the trip. I will be going back very soon. read more

After reading the rave reviews on Yelp I was expecting a bit more. The food is a good value with lots of great specials and combos on their board. I had a spinach empanada - which was overstuffed and their was too much moisture which made it soggy and left me disappointed. The Italian empanada which I tried was less filled - practically just filled with air and oil, I will say better than the spinach one. The focaccia complimentary appetizer was delicious, warm, and crisp yet soft. I also was able to try a bit of the beef milanesa sandwich which was the favorite pick in my book! The service of the staff was slightly underwhelming with one of the servers speaking minimal English, disarray when trying to seat customers, and they seemed slightly in a rush but the front counter staff was much more helpful and friendly! I'd come back if I was in town but I won't be making a special trip out here. read more
