This went downhill really quick!!!! My barely used tire was old - as in from the 90s old. It shredded on the freeway, with the tread separating from the rest of the tire. Went to another tire shop to get this replaced and found out the true age of the tire and was told they should have never installed it. Plus, I found out that this place cross threaded my stud, which meant it couldn't come off. The new tire shop had to remove it and install another but was kind enough to take pics and give me the information to go in and complain to the shop. For Christ's sake - I am all for a deal but this place is grossly negligent and believe me, I will be taking legal action. And for the record - I asked about alignment when I was in. I notice that the owner says that they do this... I was told they didn't do it anymore. read more

Thinking of getting new tires, drive by this used tire place and I'm thinking Big O said my tires were still good and maybe this guy will buy my tires. I stop, he puts his hands on the tires and says they're not right. I ask how he knows and he says put my hand on the tire and feel. Hmmm, felt like rubber on a tire to me, maybe he's some sort of tire guru who is one with the tires. Anyways even he won't take the tires, so I ask if he has any tires to fit my car (medium brand tires are $500-600 set new for Legacy wagon) He's got 4 Hankook Optimo tires which are OEM on some new cars, and got good Consumer Reports reviews, so it's $175 to install all 4. I look at and pass on some scraped up alloy wheels that will fit. Take it to the "lift" which is a parking spot where they jack it up, waiting room is some lawn chairs next to stacks of tires. The balancing station is a manual bubble balance area under a tent gazebo. The place looks really low rent. There's a dog in a big cage and it looks like they live next door with wife and matching kids hanging out. Drive it home, and there's a wobble on the steering wheel. Next morning, they rebalance using their bubble balance (they don't have a machine) and it still wobbles. Next morning I try one more time, and I just spend $50 to get it machine balanced at Les Schwab in Meridian. Came back and complained that they couldn't balance it. He maded up for it by giving back some money to cover what he thought Walmart might charge for balance. In theory, there are lots of tires that will work with bubble balancing, but not these. I'd say that if you want to see some real live interesting people you'd only see portrayed in the movies, and you want really really cheap tires, see if he's got tires that fit your car. He's open 7 days and takes walk ins. He gets both very high and low income customers who want to save money. Worst case, if he can't balance the tires, just pay to have them balanced some place else. Given the number of empty storefronts on the main drag through Nampa, this guy is a survivor and must be doing something right. read more

Two reviews in one... You get what you pay for I guess... the place is a disaster and the service is pretty horrible. Pretty disappointing... I walked in and ask if they buy wheels. The old woman said yes and she would have someone look at them. Between 30 and 45 minutes later... the guy appears... looks at the wheels... makes an offer to which I accept. He then feeds me a line of bs about how they don't have money to buy them today and says to come back next week. Thanks for wasting my time and not honoring the offer you made... This place is on a fast track to failure at this rate. read more

So i paid $35 bucks for a tire from this place and this was about a month ago guy said it had a long life ahead of it when i bought it. so lets fast forward like 30 days getting on the freeway the tires middle comes out and i almost wreck then part of the tire went thru my sidewall of my car and broke my reflector off my car . so i call this guy up and all i got was smart assed talk. he said it was only good for 10 days . he should extend his warranty if its over 20 bucks . but no this did not happen he told me are you trying to tell me how to run my bussiness. i told him no but he needed to replace this p.o.s . he was hella rude i will never have business there again. and if you dont want to get ripped i would surely suggest that you do not go here, i mean the whole inseam of this tire came off and damaged my car . read more

Had four studless snow tires (that I brought myself) installed asked if they would balance the tires after they got mounted on rims they said yes was notified car was ready asked again are tires balanced the answer was yes drove car up to 50 miles per hour in a 45 mph zone guess what TIRES WERE NOT BALANCED! We purchased a set of 4 tires. within a couple weeks we had a blow out and the tire peeled. We called Cheaper Used Tires.. never got a call back. About a week and half after that we had another blow out. We have a lot of damage to our truck. First blow out/peel was over $1800 in damage not sure how much this last one did. I called the company again. I was told a female employee would call me back.. she didn't so I called back.. playing the phone game she never seems to be at work. The last time I called the employee refused to give me his name and then hung up on me. I guess we need to get an attorney involved. Save your money and time and go anywhere else. I called in advance to ask if they had my size in stock - the young lady on the phone said that yes, they did. After driving out from Boise - surprise, they never had it. Weeks later finally found a ridiculously overpriced set but as I was desperate went ahead with it. The foul tempered lady behind the counter actually got mad at me for using a coupon. Bottom line is you won't find any good deals here. Save up and buy something that works. read more

I needed new tire, I have an older car, that is still in good shape, but I just wanted something to hold me over for the summer. I went in and got two front tires, and then two weeks later got the back two replaced as well. 16 days later I have a blow out, I go back in the next day and they act like they don't remember me, and act like the tires aren't theirs regardless of me showing them my receipt. The manager, a woman with black hair, wouldn't even talk to me. They claim they balance and align them for free with the purchase of the tires, but it's obvious they don't, even when you ask if they did they'll lie about it. Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, you're better off spending the extra money and getting a proper job done, so you don't have to worry about your car, or wasting your money. read more

The worst place to get tires I will never go there again, I would rather pay more up front then get screwed every time I buy tires.

Though there have been a couple of times where I have called and called, and couldn't get anyone to answer the phone..I have bought tires from these guys, and never had a problem with them,I have seen where the tire was blown out while getting aired up, and it took almost 30 minutes for the one guy to balance the tire..that was kinda scary, and wish they would extend their warranty a little longer..but like I said I haven't had any problems with the tires I have gotten from them..if the blow out thing is true hope you guys are willing to fix the problem. read more

Don't do it! This place is such a rip off! We bought tires there and had a blowout on the freeway, within a few weeks. Completely ruined the wheel well. So, lesson learned, we bought tires from a third party and took them to Cheaper tire for mounting. We'll, they didn't space them far enough,(they said the tires were slightly wider, but didn't mention it when they mounted them), so, on the way home, we noticed a burnt rubber smell. Luckily, my husband stopped and looked and the front tires were rubbing against the a-arm! Had we driven much further, both of the tires would have blown out!! This place cuts their tires to make them look like they have more tread than they really do. It's a very unsafe business!!! read more

This place was so bad, I couldn't even get past an intelligible telephone conversation with the clerk who answered the phone. So glad I read the horrible on-line reviews before even attempting to do business with this unprofessional establishment. read more

I don't usually take the time to feel one of these out but this time is different. I really like doing business with mom and pop type establishments and these guys fit the bill. They were extra kind and had me on my way in no time. Will definitely do business again here soon. read more
