I didn't get the cheba hut hype at first, but after trying the 5-0.... I get it now. The bread was light and flaky, and they definitely did not skimp on the toppings. The meat was sliced well, and the giardiniera peppers cut through richness of all the different meats which was perfect. Wasn't the fastest service ever, but that's to be expected here. I ordered a turkey sandwich and it was very good. We also ordered some pretzels for an appetizer and they were yummy, but I was hoping we could've got queso instead of a honey mustard to dip them in. The restaurant itself is a bit dated and worn. They could definitely use a deep clean and some new furniture, but it does fit the vibe of the area so they can definitely get away with it. This is my first time ever eating at one of these locations so maybe that's the vibe they are going for. This is such a great spot to go to before and after shows and events like the Fillmore! We came here this weekend and got the death star with jalapeño cream cheese and all the toppings and it is heavenly. Ryan and I split this bad boy- it's our regular go to when we come here. Toasted delicious sub! We also get a goo ball for a sweet treat. We got water tonight because we had just come from a concert but there is a full bar here if you are looking for a drink but they also have kool aid fun drinks na options! They do cool giveaways as well like this shaq one and always are supporting local music scene. The people at this location are always kind and cool to us and work very hard. I never met a Cheba Hut that I didn't like. This was my first time eating at this location. I have only ever stopped in for drinks before or after a show. This time, we went to a show at the Fillmore and were starving afterwards so we walked over to Cheba and got seats at the bar. I got the La canna (one of my favs) on garlic herb bread. It was so delicious, it definitely hit the spot. The bartender was awesome. For someone that has to deal with some random crowds from shows and of the Colfax scene she handles people really well. Great personality. Also, they make a great hash can. It is a long island ice tea with any flavor Red Bull. It is my go to drink at Cheba when I am not feeling beer. read more

Visiting my friend who is a local who likes this place. Ordered a 12 inch sandwich to have half to take on an outdoor trip the next day. I got the sensi kush (which is a BLT). It comes on a garlic bread roll, which is toasted to crunchy perfection. It also has tomatoes, lettuce, bacon, and avocado, all balanced with the house sauce (tastes like a mixture of sriracha and honey). It's a bit messy to eat (the sauce drips out), but each bite is delicious goodness. Sandwiches came out pretty quickly! I liked the interior decoration, with a multitude of stickers along the glass panels covering the counter as well as fun wall art when you enter (see pics). Have had consistently good experiences at this location when coming before a show! The food is pretty good - standard sub fare with tons of options for sandwiches both meat based and vegetarian. They also have a full bar which is perfect for a quick drink or pregame before hitting one of the many close concert venues! The staff is friendly and food comes out pretty quick. This specific location NEVER has enough meat on the sandwiches. Every experience I've had at other locations is better because they're all a normal ratio of veggies to meat. This was my first time to Cheba Hut in Denver! It did NOT disappoint. We sat at the bar and our bartender was Riley. The store was clean, the staff were friendly and helpful. Our food was delicious and so were the drinks! The bar was full and everyone was smiling and having a good time! We really enjoyed the overall atmosphere of the place and will definitely be returning regularly. If you're hoping to have a drink with your meal they have great daily specials. I ordered the Pakalolo. I like that you can get different sizes. I got the smallest one. It had ham, pineapple, Swiss cheese, honey mustard, lettuce and tomatoes. The Kind is one of my faves. Everything here is pretty much a yes. There are a few different sizes to choose from. The theme is cannabis, if you can't tell. So, the names and items they have are a play on that. Expect to see tons of stoners and just a super chill team in terms of staff as well. I have never had an issue with anyone at the establishment in the few years I have been going. I highly recommend getting The Kind or the Jamaican. Blunt size. Veggies are usually fresh, and sometimes it does get crazy, so it can get kinda messy in the back. The only reason for the 4 stars. There is also a bar that serves just about anything you can think of. There's a non-bar for those who like fountain drinks. Be sure to try the Kool-Aid, though. It is a game changer! read more

She's over charged me more than once in an evening and got my card locked and then she said I walked out so I would pay her again and wanted me to Venmo her money. Fraud I was charged more than twice. She hides shots from the liquor store next door in the walk in. Explains why she over charges because she's drunk. I called her out more than once about the over charging. She tried to get me 86s and said I was responsible for losses in liquor for the store for both the well and beer. She also another time I called her out on over charging me said I was a fucking drunk and didn't know what I was talking about. But she still corrected the charge because she knew I hadn't drank that much. read more

The boozy bong water, oh my stars. But the customer service, just wow. I must have wearing disdain and desperation there way one wears a new cologne. Clover took amazing care of new and made sure that I was able to enjoy my sandwich in peace. I was supposed to be meeting a colleague here to get my phone and wallet but they never showed. The cherry on top of the already shitty sundae. As i scrambled to get my cash together Clover had already taken care of it.
