Fully Loaded Guac Not'Cho *Limited Time Only**

Love a restaurant that commits!! Atmosphere inside is definitely committed to the "hit" ;). Visited with some friends recently and enjoyed our time. They are a busy place with lots of to go orders. We enjoyed our sandwiches. I ordered the summer special not'chos. They forgot to add my chicken first time around but they fixed it without any hassle (which I super appreciate).

I have been waiting literal years for this place to open! I discovered Cheba Hut on a trip to Las Vegas several years ago and it was the best sandwich I've ever had. If I travel anywhere with a Cheba Hut, I make sure to stop by. I was so excited when I found it Minnesota was getting a location! And then deeply, deeply disappointed when it seemed to go dark. But now, it's finally here, and you bet I went on the first day they were open! It was very busy but service was good. They seemed to be prepared staffing wise for a large turnout. I got my usual build-your-own and pretzel nugs. The garlic herb bread is a MUST and what sets Cheba Hut apart from other sub shops. I also enjoyed a Hash Can (or two). I've never been so excited about the opening of a restaurant in my life. I'm looking forward to my next visits - there will be many more to come even though it's a 30+ minute drive each way. But hey, a lot better than a plane ride. Hoping I hit a time when it's less crowded so I can look around a bit more. We were barely able to squeeze in at the bar so I didn't get a chance to see much of the restaurant.

This was our third visit. Minneapolis Cheba Hut never disappoints. We brought our niece for her first experience and she loved it. We've been to Cheba Hut in Arizona, Colorado, California and Las Vegas and the consistency is on point. Friendly staff, delicious food, ALL the Kool Aid on tap and awesome vibes all around. Priced perfectly for any budget. The munchies are the best to top of a satisfying meal.

Loved the vibe here! First time there and the subs we had were so good. I can't wait to go back and try their other subs. The service was super friendly and the staff at the register was also patient with us as we were deciding what to get. Their menu offers a nice variety of subs and also have desserts like brownies , cookies, and rice crispy bars. They offer soda beverages and kool aid, too! Also, they have a bar that offers local craft beers!

I've been waiting impatiently for a few years for this location to open. Service was good. I'm not often in the area and I remembered why. The customers in the restaurant were rough and I went to an inner city high school in Minneapolis. Like the homeless guy next to me was not eating food from the restaurant but he was still eating small snacks. Multiple people came to ask if they had job openings. They do not I learned lol. Onto the food, I got a white widow on white bread. I misheard the nice woman and got a somewhat disappointing sandwich as a result. I normally go garlic bread and I strongly recommend that as it elevates their already incredible sandwiches. Not cheap either, a 12 inch sub ran me about 18 dollars. I'll be back and likely take food to go.

Got the Jamaican Red and White Widow. Both were very tasty. The Jamaican Red had barely any buffalo sauce tho.

It had a 1920's art deco vibe which I love. We had a reservation but the host seemed to struggle to find it, almost even questioning the validity of it even though I showed her proof they texted confirmation. Thankfully they gave us a table right away anyways. The restaurant is attached to a theatre so it gets really busy prior to showtimes and the service becomes slow or non existent. At one point it even seemed that they forgot about us and the manger noticed so she made sure to get our food to us. The server later apologized and was very kind but I couldn't help but notice she took the time to chit chat with coworkers while we waited. When the theatre performance started it loudly traveled into the restaraunt through the walls. While it didn't bother me I can see how this may bother others. I'm actually glad we went because we learned about the theatre and would like to attend a show sometime. I just wouldn't recommend going to the restaraunt unless you are seeing a show there.

Con - I really don't like looking at a menu from a QR code on my phone. Wish I would've received an actual menu. Were out of the moscato I was craving. I would LOVE to come back for that pasta!!

A group of friends and I went here for our friend's birthday, only to have two women end up…read moreseriously ill by the time we left. The two friends each only had one drink from the bar and were left retching, struggling to stay upright. They were completely knocked out by one drink, which was bizarre, concerning, and entirely out of character. Both woke up this morning with no hangover and a complete memory of everything that happened. One friend was discussing with a coworker whose daughter and friends had a similar experience a couple weeks ago. That woman also knows of another group of young women who have experienced this. This is not normal. There had to have been something dangerous and suspicious going on for multiple women to have the same terrifying experience. I do not recommend any woman visiting here and I will not be returning ever.

Disclaimer: THIS IS A REVIEW ABOUT THE RESTAURANT PORTION, NOT THE NIGHTCLUB PORTION. I hate to do…read morethis, but I need to get this out while it's fresh in my head. I finished eating here about 90 minutes ago and am quite disappointed. My friend and I were out hoping to get some burgers from Fremont on their $1.00 Burger Mondays, but they were closed due to a holiday party... so we saw this place and were familiar with the one downtown. We like the one downtown, so this one would be cool right? Wrong. I've also never eaten food from a Pourhouse either, only had drinks. I can see why. So we checked their menu and saw they offered a wing special on Mondays and were nearby so why not stop in, despite it having an average score of 2.5 stars on Yelp?! Here's how it went. Atmosphere/Appearance: This place looks SO NICE! Both the inside and out look so modern, well-decorated, clean, neat and like a place that would be fun to hangout in. They did a great job with that. This place is so huge and serves great as a nightclub on a busy weekend or college night. Restaurant seating is right in the middle of what seems to double as a huge dance floor that is right up against the bar. The ceiling stretches so high and you can see right up to the 2nd floor from all over. This place looks awesome and seems like it has MASSIVE potential for the night scene. Service: This is where things started to take a dive. Ezra was our lovely server, but that was kind of it. She looked nice, showed up, took our orders, smiled and that was really it. She didn't refill my water, didn't ask my friend if he wanted another drink, didn't check on us after our food showed up, NOTHING. Granted, she was the only one running the bar and the bar floor, but still... we needed things. No excuses as we are paying customers. She wasn't there. I had complaints, but I couldn't even tell her... because I don't think she cared. Moving on... Food: I'm a big guy with a huge palate and there isn't much food that I don't finish, but SURPRISE! Lol. I ordered 2 "buckets" of their wings. One good thing is that you can get 2 flavors per bucket. (It's actually not a bucket at all, but a nicely presented plate with celery, sauce and neatly organized wings, 10 of them to be precise. They were so overcooked. They weren't good. At all, but I was starving, so I ate. I tried their Peanut Sauce, Grand Mariner, P.H. Rub and Dry Ranch. They all were such a light flavor that I could hardly taste the difference between them, though the Grand Mariner was my favorite of the 4. I just wish, WISH the wings weren't cooked so freaking long! By the time I got to the last few I couldn't even eat them. They were so tough... like jerky, but hey... guess who wasn't around for me to let them know how I felt? You got it! Lol. Nah, it ain't that serious, I'm just being a jerk, but yeah... the wings weren't good. I don't ever plan on coming back here for the wings... though if they weren't cooked long enough I'm sure they'd be fine. Value: $5.00 for 10 wings. That's a freaking DEAL man! I was all over it! I'm just sad I didn't like what I experienced. Oh well, I shall lose no sleep over it, but I needed to get this out. Oh, let us not forget that this place charges 2.9% extra if you're using a card. Like, for real man? It's 2018! Lol. You don't find out about this until you get your bill and it says it WWAAYY at the bottom of the receipt. Lol. I mean, I guess. So you can either pay the 2.9% extra for using your card, use cash or get bent over by the ATM and its fees at the front door. You choose! In conclusion, I'll come here to party, possibly... not to eat. That's what this place is good for and it's made clear.
