Came here before a Twins Game. Made a reservation but it was surprisingly empty inside. They had our table already set. Service and food were great!

The food, services and ambience. The music most be the younger generation. It was annoying but I am aging. The service and prices are reasonable. Close to Target Field and worth stopping. Save a lot of money by eating and drinking outside the stadium before entering. It is worth finding the restaurant by the North side of the stadium.

BLT Wedge Salad ($14), to go. Gem lettuce, bacon lardon, blue cheese, tomato, toasted pepita, pickled onion, and buttermilk herb dressing.

I've never had anything at Trax that hasn't blown me away. Ever since I first came here a few years ago and tried the churro ice cream sandwich ($10) for the first time, it's been one of my favorite desserts in the cities. Today, I tried the Saddle Up burger ($16) and it was so good I could cry. The patty was perfectly seasoned, the candied bacon was inctedible, and the aged cheddar actually tasted strongly of cheddar in a way I don't find often on burgers! I thought about shelling out a couple dollars to upgrade to fries for my side, and I'm so glad I didn't--those house made bbq chips that come with the burger are incredible, I could've eaten pounds of them. Deliciously seasoned and perfect texture, even after sitting in a takeout container in my car for half an hour! I also had the BLT Wedge Salad ($14), which I liked a lot too--the addition of pickled onion and toasted pepita really separated it from most wedge salads I've tried before. They don't skimp on the dressing either--I'm glad I got it to go so I could choose how much dressing to put on! The gem lettuce traveled great and was not at all soggy by the time I got home, and all of the flavors were great. It did come in a little saltier than I'm used to in wedge salads, but it worked really well for me as an enjoyer of salty things! Since it wasn't a show night at the Fillmore, it was a pretty chill and quiet vibe for Thursday night trivia. Tai, who was serving the whole floor tonight, was amazing and offered great recommendations for food too! Even if you're not going to a show at the Fillmore, you should totally go out of your way to get a burger at Trax.

I ate here about 3 years ago and was impressed. I was in the area with my dog with me decided to stop by. The hostess was nice enough to pull a lower table so that I could sit comfortably with my pup (great customer service). I ordered the Saddle Up burger with the house made BBQ chips. The burger was phenomenal! The flavors messed together perfectly without overpowering each other. I could really taste the quality of the meat. I could've dealt without the bbq chips, they were nothing to rave about. I'll def be back!

Some friends and I made a reservation here for dinner on a Thursday night (trivia night!) and had a great time! It is super easy to get to - right off the light rail and plenty of parking nearby (street parking and a ramp). In the warmer weather the parking probably gets more difficult on nights when the twins are playing. It was a lot less crowded than some other bars I've gone to for trivia night which was so nice! You could actually hear the MC ask the trivia questions! The game was run through trivia mafia and you could submit answers as a team on your phones. Service here was also super speedy and friendly! Our water glasses were full the entire night and all our food came out piping hot. On to the food - it was all absolutely delicious! I ordered the Saddle Up burger with a side of truffle Parmesan fries (an upgrade). The burger was juicy and flavorful, everything you hope for with a smash burger. And the FRIES! Pay the extra $5, they're 100% worth it. Perfectly crunchy and seasoned with a delish aioli and parm on top. Portions are large too. I ordered the sour, $10 so it's a bit pricier for drinks here (cocktails were $16-17) but it worked well with the burger. Overall, I will definitely be back here for another dinner + trivia night!

OG Mac N Cheese - wow this was good. So much bacon and amazing sauce!

Okay I'm gonna five star this spot because the flavors were just perfect! I will caveat it with the fact that I do not like the buns they use for the burgers (they fall apart and are too soft IMO) but bc everything else was fantastic, it didn't bug me that much :P We kicked off the meal with the bacon candy and soft pretzel. The soft pretzel was exactly what you would want, but the bacon candy was the real star! Slow braised Nueske's bacon, sweet & salty glaze, pickled red onion, red chile flakes... pretty sure someone was going to lick the plate it was so good! Burger-wise we tried the Trax Burger, the Wagyu Marrow and the Gobbler. The Trax burger was their version of the double smash cheeseburger that is pretty trendy and popular! The IPA mustard aioli and the bacon ketchup added a really nice kick that you don't often get! However this is where the bun really disappointed! But it was real tasty! The Wagyu Burger was SO good. It's one of those burgers you just want to keep eating and never stop eating. Wagyu brisket & ribeye blend, Gruyère cheese, pickled red onion, triple cheese mornay, bone marrow Nueske's bacon onion jam, truffle aioli - it almost seems like too much but it works. Delish! The Gobbler looked good bc we are suckers for Turkey burgers. This did not disappoint - Ground turkey, triple cream brie cheese, Nueske's bacon jam, Bing cherry aioli, apple & fennel slaw, mustard vinaigrette. I mean, how could it not be good?! We also got truffle parm fries (not pictured) and they were crispy yet chewy. Plus the house cut bbq chips were on point! We also got a smattering of drinks that I loved but managed to only get a picture of the Nordic Salutation: Don Julio blanco tequila, blueberry, lime, basil, sugar, salt. It wasn't too sweet, which to me is the mark of a good tequila drink, and it wasn't too tequila forward. In other words I could drink it all night! Overall we had an awesome experience (buns aside) and would def be back to try some boozy shakes and more burgers! Or maybe we'll just get the exact same ones because they were so tasty!

Service and staff are on top of their jobs here and the ambiance is very pretty for a burger bar. You'll be greeted the minute you sit down by multiple staff. We snagged a spot at the bar before a concert and were served immediately with water and menus. Just beers were ordered as we were trying to keep it a tame night but their craft cocktails look delicious and fun! I got the waygu burger which is $18 but $18 of deliciousness. It is garlic and cheese and mushrooms and creamy goodness on an egg bun. I don't regret ordering it and highly recommend if you just want to splurge and get the best burger on the menu - do it! My boyfriend got the Trax burger and it was just as flavorful, juicy, and made to perfection. All burgers are served with their homemade chips which are actually really good but we decided to get an order of truffle fries as well. They came with a garlic aioli that definitely completes the side, only $5 and totally worth it. For dessert we had the churro ice cream sandwich. Talk about being a sugary kid again! It tasted like a bowl of Cinnamon Toast Crunch! It comes with a chocolate sauce to drizzle over it and it definitely "puts the icing on the cake". We devoured it and I would 100% order this again. Prices are a little steep which make me want to bring this down to 4 stars but it's beautiful and the food is good + it's connected to the Fillmore concert venue in the North Loop which means they can get away with it.

I have surprisingly never heard of this place but my bf found it on Yelp when searching for a good burger one day. We came here on a gloomy Saturday at 3pm and we were the only people there.. I thought ok either it's a weird time in the day to eat lunch or this place sucks. Turns out this place doesn't suck. This Wagyu Marrow Burger ranks top 5 burgers I have ever had. The cauliflower was also delicious. It's breaded and has mild Indian flavors to it. Boyfriend approved!

I tried Trax for a birthday get together. Unfortunately we went on a night that they were having some music event. The place was horribly crowded, super loud and service was really slow. Luckily I made reservations otherwise we would have never gotten a table, although I do wish they would have given us a warning that an event was going on. As for the food, we started with a milkshake and Mac n cheese bites. Milkshakes were great and the Mac N Cheese bites were crispy and delicious and served with a good sauce. We tried several burgers. The burger itself was cooked perfectly and juicy. The buns were amazing and perfectly sized as to not have too much breading. The topping were delicious too. I did not like the presentation of the food being served on a wooden cutting board and it seemed a bit unsanitary. The portions were good and I loved the homemade chips. I would go back, but it's not necessarily at the top of my list.

    Steel Head

Food: We came here after seeing it advertised around town as a new restaurant in The Fillmore. We started with Mac + Cheese Crunch which is three deep fried balls of Mac + Cheese in a tangy tomato sauce. These reminded me of deep fried raviolis (which I love) and were extremely tasty. The Scotch Egg was super filling! You wouldn't think one egg could go so far. The egg was more soft boiled than hard boiled which I didn't love, but this is more of an egg preference thing. Despite that, the egg was very yummy. I had the Steel Head for dinner which came with Brussels. I ordered all sauces on the side which I would recommend because then you can try all your bites in different sauce mixtures! Honestly, though, the fish was so tender and delicious that it didn't even need the sauces! My boyfriend got the Wagyu Marrow burger. It was chalk full of tons of flavor. It's definitely a boujee burger with more of an "artisanal jam and carmelized onions" vibe, so if you're looking for more of a classic, I'd try the Trax Burger. Lastly, we topped off our two weeks worth of calories with the Churro Ice Cream sandwich. My boyfriend ate 75% of it in 5 minutes. It's that good. The ice cream tastes like the milk in the bowl after Cinnamon Toast Crunch. I would definitely save room for dessert! Venue: It's literally attached to The Fillmore and you're going in the same entrance, but once inside, they're very separate experiences. It's very loud inside so be prepared to speak up! The tables are quite close together, New York style, so be prepared for some coziness. This doesn't impact the experience at all, though! I imagine this place will be great in the summertime with the garage doors open.

Before we even got there, we could smell this place, a GREAT sign! The hostess was lovely and guided us to our seats right away! The first thing I noticed was the decor is slightly dark and moody! Perfect for a romantic date! Plenty of candles flickering on each table! The kitchen is open, so it was fun to watch! Our only complaint is that the tables are fairly close together and a 2 person table is so small! It kept us from ordering more food, because there would be no place for it to go! Our server was nice. She originally forgot our drinks but admitted it and got them right away. We appreciated the honesty. Our water glasses were always full, we were given wet naps after our delicious wings and plates were taken promptly! Food: We each started with a drink. I got the banana bread old fashioned which may just be my favorite cocktail! My boyfriend got a beer and said it was "ok." We started with the truffle fries and smoked wings in the flavor rum chili. Holy moly! Both of those were spectacular!!! The ranch was just ok, I would probably get the blue cheese next time. Truly though, you don't need to dip these wings, the flavors are amazing on their own!! For our main course, we got the 14oz New York strip steak cooked to a perfect medium and the scallops! Both were out of this world! Very well done! I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone! It is truly a gem in the cities!

Wood + Paddle is located inside of the Royal, it's their hotel restaurant. On my first night in Minneapolis, I'd arrived to the hotel for check-in around dinner time. It was a Sunday night, so I think she wanted to reserve tables for parties of two or more. I was fine with it, but I noticed there were quite a few empty tables.
