Try the Mitote it was amazing, tacos de birria were just as good with homemade tortillas. I had some chili oil sauce i never tasted before and it makes everything even better. This is my spot for Mexican food from now on, it's a must try. Homie on the grill was killing it!

They are a Taco Truck parked in the corner of a truck shop, enticing customers from all backgrounds to stop and eat their aromatic tacos and burritos waffling out in the parking lot. The service was reasonably fast, two or three staff members stuffed in a truck, taking and making the orders. I got three birria tacos with consumme. The tacos were meaty and juicy. And the consumme took the taste buds out of this world. We will returning.

However, that was probably the best part of the whole experience. We ordered 3 tacos and a burrito. The food overall just tasted WAY too salty. It was filling, but more salty than it needed to be. The solution would have been to order a drink, but the ones we sampled were WAY too sweet. Although the location is great in terms of exposure of customers, it's just way too close to the main road. There's one folding table underneath a canopy, but still really close to the road where loud vehicles are constantly being heard. Overall, this place was okay. I most likely wouldn't be coming back.

The food was not only delicious, but there was an abundance--hot, fresh, and made with so much care. In the middle of long days on the line, that kind of support means everything. We are so grateful for businesses like yours that stand with teachers and uplift the community. Highly recommend Yolanda's Tamales--not just for the amazing food, but for the heart behind it.

The woman who took took my order was very friendly and helpful.I ended up ordering a dozen tamales($42)-half chicken half pork with a small side of beans rice and salsa.I also decided to order something for myself since I was going to be there-so I added the iconic Yo-Burrito($14)-but more on that later. I made my way out there and the woman working there had my order ready right on time, which is always appreciated-the place is a smaller spot with a few tables but it's much more setup as a to-go spot in my opinion-which is perfect. The tamales that we got for the party were pretty much perfect-nice size-flavorful sauce, tender meat, tasty masa-everybody loved em,as I expected-one can never go wrong if your in the mood for some tamales in the Sacramento area-they are the best-but I want to talk about that burrito. I've had a lot of burritos in my day-in fact I've spent a little time as a burrito reviewer on another app,so I don't say this too lightly-but the Yo-burrito is probably the most unique burrito you can get in Sacramento and most likely a top 3 overall burrito in Sacramento. The fillings are pretty generic, rice, beans, cheese, pic de gallo but where they turn it up a level is when they add 2 of their signature tamales into the burrito as the protein and man does that change everything. The combo of those tamales in the middle of all the flavors from the burrito fillings is just dynamite-I highly recommend it-if you consider yourself a burrito connoisseur-your resume will be incomplete if you haven't had the pleasure of trying this great item. In closing-when you find yourself craving some homemade style tamales,I would definitely give these guys a call-they are pretty great-a very solid options for parties or holiday gatherings or if u just want a tamale for lunch that day. PS.....One quick tip-this place offers a lower price for cash payment-so if you're looking to keep costs down, that's an option...Also this place has a history in winning the taco throwdowns in Sacramento,so I'm assuming their tacos are pretty great here as well, though I've never tried them myself.

The first time I came, the line was so long, it went all the way back to the railroad tracks and I was too hungry to stand in line for an hour. Their street tacos were delicious. I ordered 2 al pastor and 4 carne Asada street tacos. I finished it within 5 minutes and wished I ordered more. I did like the carne Asada more than the al pastor. It had a rich and smokey flavor. The tortilla was warm and soft and the tacos were full of meat. The staff was friendly and everyone was so nice. People were sitting in their cars and blasting music. It was a party in the parking. We also ordered a piña agua Fresca and it was really good. The line was long because of the $1 tacos, so we waited for about 25 minutes to order and another 10 to get sauce. That really wasn't that big of a deal, though, because the tacos are good and for $1 I expect there to be a big line. *** pro tip: bring your own salsa containers! I brought some from home that fit 4 scoops in each and the way people were staring in envy lol. It'll shorten wait times if everyone just brings a slightly bigger sauce container from home!
