I moved all the way across town, but I make sure to make my way over at least once a week for their tacos. Their pastor and their asada is my favorite meat, and I will eat it taco style, as a Gordita, or quesadillas. Not a super big fan of the burrito, but their flautas are pretty tasty as well. I always bought Buritos from this truck, but the last time I tried it, I was so disappointed that I decided to write about it. They used to accept credit cards, but now they only accept cash and other inconvenient phone payment methods. Most importantly, I was very disappointed with the Burito they sold me. Although the Burito was a decent size, it was so thinly filled that I'd say it was less than a third full. I chose carnitas, and when I started eating it, I thought they'd forgotten to put any meat in it. I was disappointed, but I found a few pieces in the middle of the Burito, but they were so small you could barely feel them. Also, they weren't fried pork, just boiled pieces of meat. The second Burito had slightly more meat, but still very little, and it was also boiled, not fried. The following information for the owner of this business: this happened at 1:07 PM Thursday. I recently tried out this taco truck. It is located on El Camino and Howe in a parking lot. I ordered 2 Carnitas tacos and 2 Al Pastor tacos. What really stands out is their homemade tortillas. They make the tacos very good. The meat was seasoned well too. The weird thing they do though is put salsa in plastic bag with a tide knot. You have to use scissors to open them. I guess they are saving by not buying those plastic cup thingies that most salsa comes in? Bottom line is I enjoyed my tacos and would buy from them again. I live fairly close now that I've moved, and I must admit I've been here more times than I'd like to admit.lol The ladies in the truck are very nice and you can tell it's clean and well kept. I love walking my dog and using it as an excuse to go get tacos and sopes. lol So far I have tried the carne asada tacos with everything on them as well as the carne asada sopes. I always get extra salsa verde and roja as well as Chiles toreados y cebollas (grilled jalepenos and onions) along with a freshly made agua fresca! Not your typical taco truck! Coco's tacos truck makes their own tortillas for the tacos. We ordered tacos al pastor and tripa and let me tell you, we loved them. We also ordered a delicious quesadilla al pastor. The quesadilla had pico de Gallo and crema and cilantro with onions inside with the cheese and pastor. It was a very generous size quesadilla. The tacos were garnish with radish and grilled onions and serrano peppers! I just love tacos that come with all of the toppings. Side story: the location is not the greatest and it looks a little bit dangerous to be out at night. My husband placed the order while I stayed in the car. Solid Mexican meal. I've ordered tacos & sope and burritos. The first two times we had burritos, we were both full before finishing and quit eating early, before the burrito was devoured. Tonight, I gobbled the whole thing. It was softer and not tightly wrapped today. I think depends on who's working the truck if you can stretch it to more than one meal or not. Today we sat in the car and called in and watched it not be busy to have no one answer the phone. Got out the hot car to place our order, the ass of a man working the window was so sassy. Ok so these are literally the best tacos in Sacramento. My friends and I usually hit up Chando's, but we decided to switch it up a bit today and found this truck and it was easily the best decision we made that night. I regret not getting more tacos here at the time but will definitely be back :) Let's start with the Al Pastor - beautifully flavorful, crisp and juicy, garnished with Cilantro, lime, onion and their homemade green salsa on top of some fresh handmade tortilla. Reminded me of some really really good pastor I had in Mexico city - definitely recommend! Cabeza - wow this has got to be some of the best Cabeza I've ever had. SUPER juicy and fatty, melting in your mouth and warming your heart. This is the kind of food that can bring about world peace. Not sure who Coco is (don't worry there's no Ernesto De La Cruz here), but Blanca was wonderfully hospitable and very easy to strike a conversation with. She mentioned that she was from Acapulco so I'd imagine that the tacos here resemble Acapulco food culture. Definitely drop by Coco's if your in the area! read more

I've seen this truck in my neighborhood for a while and since it's been here consistently I'd thought I'd give it a shot.... When you have expectations, you're often left with disappointments and that is what I was left with after my visit. The burrito was so greasy that it was unappetizing. Handmade tortillas are dipped in a mole type sauce (not sure exactly but tastes like mole), Stuffed with chicken, rolled and topped with queso fresco, sour cream, lettuce and tomato. Served with a side of rice and beans. The rice was moist and from what I can tell fresh and it tasted good. Beans were eh... nothing special. Best burrito I've ever had in Sacramento hands down. The truck is near the Costco, which is super convenient. At first I thought the price was a little high, but it's totally worth it. If they wanted to charge more tomorrow I'd happily pay more. I got a veggie burrito and it was seven dollars. The tortillas are homemade and amazing. Inside there was avocado and potatoes. POTATOES! I didn't get any salsa or lime in my bag and it literally didn't need it. Even the rice and beans inside were so flavorful. It really felt like an artisan made my food. My gf wanted me to post a review or her as I have an account here. She stopped in on a cold night after her work and had the best tacos she's had in Sac in her 5yrs of living here. The barbacoa & buche tacos left her stunned from how perfect & flavorful they were, not to mention the green sauce they serve which is this incredible green pepper/tomatillo tasting sauce which a superb kick to it.
