Cheddars has always been a place where I can go to meet my mom and sister closer to their side of town. It's familiar, family friendly and the broccoli cheddar casserole is like comfort food to me. The last time I was there I had an upset stomach after lunch but you never know for sure what the cause is unless you haven't eaten at all before hand. So we decided to give them another chance. Those honey butter croissants are quite enticing after all. Unfortunately, the Bourbon Glazed Salmon I usually order was undercooked and I couldn't eat it. I hate wasting food but I had to send it back. The service seems to get worse each time I've been there over the years. Not sure what is going on with the management but it seems to be lacking the leadership and skills required to run a successful restaurant. It makes me sad that I can't go back there anymore. I like to do carryout at cheddars. You can place your order online and they have specific spots for to go orders in their parking lot. You do not even have to get out of your car. They brought my order out to the car in less than five minutes from me parking. The portion size here are always good and one of my favorite dishes. We got together for a family dinner for my mom's birthday. Cheddars is her favorite, the broccoli cheddar casserole yes! She loves to eat here when she visits me because there are none in the northern part of the state where she lives. It was 5 of us and we got our table less than 10 minutes of walking in. Our server Shelby,was outstanding. She got our croissants and drinks out immediately. Then she took our food order shortly after. Everything came out nice and hot without any issues. The sweet lady came and checked on us multiple times and the manager came by a few times as well. It has been over five years since I reviewed this location of Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen. I think five years ago they were simply known as Cheddars and now the "Scratch Kitchen" is also part of the name. The name of the game here is consistency. The restaurant still looks like it was built this year. The food remains consistently excellent. Service was very fast, efficient and correct at noon on a Thursday. I am still ordering the Cornmeal White Fish because it is hands down the best thing on the menu in my opinion. I only order one portion of the Green Beans now because I love their Red Beans & Rice. The RB&R tastes so good because it is exactly the way you would find it in New Orleans. They must slow cook their green beans too because they still taste awesome and are soft, just how I like them. He was unenthusiastic and inattentive, forcing us to order appetizers via tablet after waiting for 10 minutes to be welcomed. To make matters more questionable, he even asked my 25-year-old boyfriend how old he was instead of simply carding him when he was already reaching for his wallet. The spinach dip was lackluster, lukewarm, and watery- tasting like it was made with frozen spinach. Despite requesting sour cream on the side via the tablet, it was dolloped on top. Chips and queso were mediocre, and our food took over 45 minutes to arrive after we were seated at 8:43 PM. It was supposed to be hot but neither tasted fresh nor warm--makes no sense. The ribeye was the only semi-decent part of the meal; seasoned well but didn't look appetizing and tasted rubbery- we brought the leftover steak home for our dog. Everything else was so disappointing. The cheesy broccoli casserole was passable, the Caesar salad was forgettable, and the rest of the food was underwhelming: the ribs were average, and the chicken was soggy instead of crispy. To top it off, the restaurant was dirty. Overall, this was the worst dining experience we've ever had. We had to start a note with the running list of complaints from the evening to add into this Yelp Review. Avoid this place at all costs. I tried Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen for the first time at the Greenwood location with a friend and I ordered the exact same meal. I was so happy with my experience that I left a 5-star review! I figured this CSK was closer to home so I wanted my boyfriend to try it, I was so excited in recommending that we go here for dinner. The entire dinner I kept apologizing for bringing us here. Overall, you can never go wrong with Chedadars! They have a large menu and you won't struggle to find something that sounds good. I typically get the chicken pot pie (which is phenomenal) but I branched out and got the grilled white fish today. It was pretty good--it's just always going to be difficult to beat a great pot pie, in my opinion. My partner got the steamed broccoli side and wasn't a fan. For my meal, I had the grilled salmon with bourbon sauce, and my sides were rice & beans and the sweet carrots. The salmon is actually also served over a plain rice, but the side of rice and bean with the andouille in it is very delicious. The carrots were tender. My piece of salmon was good and the side of bourbon glaze for it really made the meal. I ate everything! Not a bad experience for cheddar's. Husband and I ordered a steak and ribs and ended with a chocolate dessert. The ribs are meaty on the top, however, under that and the other side they did have a decent amount of fat which I'm not a fan of. The dessert was absolutely amazing. read more

Arrived at 1.50 PM to a large level parking lot with handicap access . I approached front door with my cane and a young man working as a host came outside and held door open for me and my wife. He took my table request and advised he had to clean a table for me but would be back shortly. 5 minutes later he returned and seated us in a nice table and chairs, clean and not crowded. I have always been able to visit this location and get an amazing steak! The bone in ribeye was outstanding. So when I saw the 16oz T-bone I was extremely excited, ordered my rare steak. Came out paper thin. Barely lunch meat legal. It's literally so thin a rare steak was impossible to pull off for the poor cook, for God sake Cheddar's charge more and get thicker steaks. I'm giving a 5-star review to our waiter, Tyler who was so kind and patient with us this past Saturday afternoon. My family came here for lunch after my daughter's Pre-K graduation and we were seated almost immediately. Our 3 and 4 year old girls were verrryyy cranky most of our time there, and we almost left a couple of times due to them being so unhappy. Tyler was very accommodating, never seemed annoyed or frustrated and he was very attentive with checking on us often. Our food was good and we enjoyed the croissants. I left off one star because we asked for a table for 7 and they seated us in a booth that barely accommodated 6 adults. So we had to hold one of our daughters on our lap the whole time which wasn't comfortable to eat. Ambiance was quiet and cozy for a Sunday evening. Service was alright they forgot to grab our orders after quite sometime but we totally understood the hour was not the best either so I'm sure the service is very good on other times of the day. We got a gift card for Cheddars and decided to use it up today. Did on line ordering and curbside pickup. I got a buffalo chicken wrap with fry's. Husband got chicken fettuccine. Wrap was great and they gave me lots of extra ranch and ketchup. Chicken fettuccine was also good but we asked for no broccoli and my husband was picking small pieces out of his dish. I wouldn't have minded but he hates broccoli. The broccoli must be pre mixed or someone didn't pay attention to the order. Since everything is "scratch made" I'm sure it was the latter. Young lady that brought out the food was wearing her mask. They need larger to go cup's but we were both very impressed with the size off the food portions. I believe almost everyone is familiar with Cheddars. But my biggest point in this restaurant is that it's extremely affordable. If you're on a budget and looking to take the family out to dinner, Cheddars is your place to be. I received a 22oz bone in ribeye with two sides for only $22. Sides being a loaded potato and a side salad. I also chose a cup of loaded potato soup which was delicious along with their spinach dip. The dip was very flavorful and seasoned. All choices on the menu are very well priced. Even their cocktails. They had a Tito's and cranberry for only $4.99! Lol. All of their other specialty drinks are reasonable as well. If I recall correctly, nothing being over 10 bucks. We were a party of 9 who had set a reservation but 45mins after our scheduled time, we still didn't have a table cause other customers hadn't left yet. So they pushed together a few tables in the bar area for us. Which was fine. Our waitress did an amazing job serving us and the food came out extremely quick. My family and I went there on Easter, there were about nine of us and hands down, this was my worst restaurant experience I've had in this city. The waiter was new, we found out at the end, which is fine but communication is key. Everything from the wait for drinks, to place our order, to get our appetizers and food was terrible. About half of the orders were wrong and the steaks were absolutely terrible. The meat was way over cooked and seemed gray in color and seemed like it was frozen because it was watery?
