They have really good food here and I would have given it 5 stars before eating here today (sunday) for lunch. The Alfredo sauce was thin. The steak was cooked rare instead of medium rare and unevenly seasoned. My Cajun pasta was ok but not exceptional. My previous visits here were definitely exceptional though. We were seated by the hostess and 20minutes passed and no server came to ask for our order, mind you this was on a Friday night around 930 when the restaurant was not full. So disappointed! If this was the first Cheddar's location we'd visited, it would've definitely be the last! Luckily we have the excellent Lutz, FL location to fall back on. We got to this location last night (Thursday) around 8:30pm. Cheddar's seems to ALWAYS be super busy, but there was no wait and several empty tables. The hostess said absolutely nothing to us when she sat us. We were a party of 5... 2 adults, 2 teenagers, and a toddler. The hostess didn't ask if we needed a high chair or a booster seat. She didn't even say "have a good meal". She literally said nothing. Ok, so we looked beyond the foolery of the hostess and looked over the menu. Seven minutes went by and we had not yet been greeted by our waitress, nor did we have any drinks. My husband and I have both waited tables before, so we knew that this was completely unacceptable, especially being they weren't even really busy. It wasn't until we got up to leave that we were greeted by a waitress. She was nice, but the experience was already ruined, so we left and had a lovely family dinner at Applebee's on Commercial Way :-) read more

Went a month ago, food came out at separate times, was cold, overly salted, and burnt. Gave cheddars another chance and came back today, got a plate of double mashed potatoes and steak. The mashed potatoes were too salty, but I didnt mind, however i only got one side and the server spread it around with a spoon to make it look like double mashed potatoes. Brought it back and got another plate, then my mashed potatoes were cold. So i brought that back and got another plate, where the manager told me they measured the temperature so i said "okay thank you". Then i took a bite, and the first bite of the third plate, the mashed potatoes were cold, so i just stopped trying and left dissatisfied and hungry. Will never return to cheddars again. read more

This place is not worth the hype, and not worth your hard earned money.... I'll start by saying we waited 2, yes 2 hours to be seated... we were never offered anything to drink or eat while we waited. Even Outback would come out and offer beverages and snacks. The service was good once we sat down, our waitress was extremely attentive and the food was served in a timely manner. We started with a couple appetizers, which for the most part were pretty good, buffalo chicken tenders were perfect, and the entire table loved the spin-dip. The fried mozzarella bites were nothing but oil and felt like they had been left in the fryer twice as long as they should have, they weren't good. I didn't try the chips and salsa but the rest of the table did and they said the salsa was very good. Now for the entree, if i can explain my disappointment any further I would have given it one star. I ordered the sirloin & ribs, and it was the worst sirloin and ribs I've ever eaten, the 8 ounce steak was cooked to order, however it was almost inedible, it was so salty and over seasoned almost like the seasoning shaker lid had opened up all over the steaks. I say steaks because everyone's steak tasted the same, over salted. It was difficult for me to get the salty seasoning taste out of my mouth. The ribs were supposed to be dry rub and moist. They were extremely dry and tasteless, I could honestly say most of the seasoning on the steak, could have been used on the tasteless extremely dry ribs. I elected to not use sauce on the ribs, because I believe in preparation, good ribs are prepared as such and a good dry rub on moist fall off the bone ribs is what dreams are made of. Good ribs aren't slathered with sugary sticky barbecue sauce to mask the inability of the kitchen's preparation practices. The only thing on my plate that was remotely good was the green beans, yes the green beans were perfectly seasoned and tasty. Maybe if I would have ordered a plate filled with nothing but green beans it would have been an edible dinner. All in all I would never go back the dinner was boring, unimaginative, over-seasoned, and an overall disappointment. I wanted it to be so much better.. read more

This new restaurant on Route 50 in Brooksville is a must visit for anyone in area. My companion and I arrived mid-afternoon for a late lunch/early dinner. We were seated immediately and our server, Nick, took our drink order. After perusing the extensive menu, I ordered a half Monte Cristo and Caesar salad; my friend chose a chicken-fried steak with potatoes and green beans. The food was delicious and the servings generous. Our server was attentive. The bathroom was spotless. We will definitely be returning in the near future. read more

The usual chain food menu. Not good at all. I ordered the lemon pepper chicken w/rice and both the chicken and rice were so salty and the chicken was so dry, I could not eat it. Steamed broccoli was over cooked. The only decent thing was the baked potato. Difficult to mess that up. I'm willing to give it another try but I don't have high hopes for this chain. read more

Definitely expected better as I have been here several times and we use the takeout option at work alot. Usually a great experience with the brand but they are going down hill. I guess the newness is over. Going out to dinner for a family of 7 is an expensive treat and this was a real disappointment. We were told a 25 minute wait, yet waited over an hour for a table for 10 only to be sat elbow to elbow. Was told the steaks we wanted were not available and it's written on the board up front( no it wasn't). They forgot to bring out half of the appetizers, they got two of the kids meals wrong. Then brought them out separately 10 and 15 mins later, because grilled cheese takes that long. Some food was overcooked and some wasn't even hot enough to melt the butter. Half of their food was left to get thrown out :( Not once did the manager come over even though I was clearly annoyed and said something. As I write this review my husband is at Applebees getting me food seems the kids ate most of my food waiting for theirs. read more

inside looks very nice, service was great, food was ugh. did not taste good at all, it was like they took things and made them all worse, we had chicken quesadillas and a monte cristo. both were horrible. the monte cristo was very doughy/tasteless/small compared to others we've had. the quesadillas were spicy also rather bland and the chicken was diced into pieces so small it was a joke. The menu was also very lacking. The only good thing we liked was the flavored sweet tea otherwise did not like at all. read more

Best food in the business everything is hand made from scratch every morning even the caramel,and hot fudge is made in house and the delicious ribs are smoked overnight.Its kind of like stepping in a time machine and being back in grandmas kitchen if you were to walk through while they're preparing the food men and women proudly mixing only the finest ingredients with joy realizing this is scratch made from the heart and made in perfection daily very very impressed I must say Cheddars keep doing your thing you do it right! read more

The loaded potato soup is my favorite part about this place. I've been for lunch and dinner and both times had no wait basically and the service was okay. Way better at dinner time but when I went for lunch they had only been open for a couple weeks so I assume they were busy and trying their best. Overall great experience. Its rare that you get great service, great food, and for a great price anymore, but this place rocks! We went just before the dinner rush (around 430-5) and only waited 5 minutes. We got the spinach dip for an appetizer and my husband got the chicken and mushrooms dinner. He had no complaints. I got the sirloin which was cooked correctly, broccoli cheddar casserole (to die for), and a loaded baked potato that was cooked correctly. It was all so delicious and the service was great. Great service. Typical chain restaurant food. Had a sirloin that was one step away from being a hamburger. My salmon was very good.

In fairness, it was Valentine's Day and the place was packed with a 45 to 60 minute wait. They were struggling with sequencing of serving, as evidenced by the fact that we got our chips and queso before our drinks and our entrees before our salads. The food was just okay. I had the Dijon chicken and mushrooms and my husband had a ribeye. We both had the broccoli casserole side, which was mostly cheesy rice with a few pieces of broccoli thrown in and some bread crumbs. My husband's steak was tough and had a lot of gristle in it. When our check arrived, we had been charged for the "free" queso we had presented a coupon for when we ordered. A combination of excellent food and cheap prices make this place a winner. The onion rings are insanely good and they pile them up high must have. Had both the grilled chicken pecan salad which was awesome and the the Dijon chicken with mushrooms which also was delicious and portions where large. Tried also their flavored lemonades and they taste fresh.What made this even more memorable was the friendly and attentive staff. Will be going back whenever I'm near by. read more

I love the food! Everything I have ever got from cheddars has been amazing! The croissants are AMAZING! I usually go to the one in Wesley chapel. Decided to give Spring Hill a chance tonight. We ordered 5 appetizers we got The first 3 and then then other two never came. We were told they were still being made. I understand things are going to take long because it's a scratch kitchen and I'm perfectly fine with waiting. So I told her if our food is going to come before the rest of the appetizers then don't bring them but if not it's fine except for the one order of croissants. So then we get our meal, no croissants and missing some sides. Half way through our meal they bring the appetizer we specifically said we did not want if they weren't going to come with our meal. And it wasn't even our waitress bringing anything out and she never came to check on us it was random people so they couldn't figure anything out because we never got a name for the waitress. Once we were done eating she brought our croissants. So what was supposed to be an appetizer was a dessert. Management came over and she was very very nice. She explained that it was the first night and while I understand and It's okay that there were problems I don't care because things are fixable. But what wasn't okay was how rude our waitress was. She never said sorry about anything! She was very stuck up. And then we got our bill and paid with cards and she never gave us pens to sign the paper! And if we can't sign the paper we can't sign a tip. read more

WE have visited this place several times and have always enjoyed it. Have even brought guest with us to enjoy it also, Tonight however was a little different, We usually always go into the bar area and have a seat, Tonight the waitress came over and informed us that the table we sat at was not a seat yourself area but it was okay this time as they were not busy, No one else has ever told us that, Maybe they should put a sign at the entrance to the bar. Please wait to be seated unless you are sitting at the bar. This incident just kind of ruined the evening for us. We have been to several other Cheddar's and never been disappointed. We did, however, on this trip, had to keep reminding ourselves that it was new, because it definitely showed in the service. The wait wasn't bad. They said 15 minutes but it was about 10. We were seated at a small table in the bar and it was very busy. He ordered a Monte Cristo and I ordered a Buffalo Wrap. My salad came out first with no dressing and no croissant. Waitress went back for them, and brought dressing but said there were no croissants left. She said if they were done by the time we left we could take one home. It took forever to get the food. The table behind us had to call the manager over about theirs, but he seemed responsive to correcting the problem for them. Finally food came out. His baked potato was cold. Really cold. Won't melt butter cold. Also didn't get the sauce to dip his sandwich in. Finally waitress came back through and we were able to send the potato back. She also brought the sauce. He was almost done when the potato came back and it was hot. We will probably go back when they have been open and the staff is better experienced. read more
