Arrived at 4:30 for a really late lunch. Only waited about 10 minutes to be seated. Placed drink orders which were promptly delivered. Good start! The Onion Ring tower is a must have appetizer. Takes a little bit of time because they are freshly made! Delicious. Entree ordered were ribs and shrimp combo and the grilled chicken shrimp with tropical pineapple salsa. Both entrees came with 2 sides. The food was delivered in a reasonable amount of time and was quite tasty. The chicken and ribs were tender and the shrimp had a nice spice to it. The food this time around was sub par. The Philly cheese steak was burnt and was on a roll the size of a hot dog bun. The corn was watery. Our sons grilled cheese had two super thin pieces of cheddar that wasn't even melted. I had enjoyed it the first time I came - perhaps the chef is having an off night. Just had lunch at the new Cheddars in Brooksville. We loved the entire experience! Our waiter was named Frankie who provided an excellent service all around. He definitely sold me on the Philly Cheesesteak, which was fantastic by the way! My wife ordered the chicken and ribs combo (she was only able to finish the ribs portion so the chicken came home with us for a second meal :-) ) and she really enjoyed it. The portions were large for her combo. The philly is probably a 6-8" sub. My side was a loaded baked potato. It was extremely busy when we went in. Every chair inside was taken in the waiting area, with more people waiting outside. The staff handled the overcrowding very well. Each person got a pager, an estimated time to be seated, and a menu to look out so you can order as soon as you sit down at your table. That's exactly what we did and our food came out quickly. Keep in mind the food is not going to be the healthiest choices but it's a good place to go when you want a cheat meal :-) We will be back! read more

All the staff seemed great and our server was excellent too. I wish I could say the same about the food. Strangely - everything tasted the same - things we liked: coke products (it was too early to drink but the bar drinks all sounded amazing!), the croissant (but not the chemically tasting glaze outside of it), and the onion rings, and the broccoli cheese casserole. Things we didn't like: hard boiled egg on the salad (they should tell you it comes with egg), the chicken fried steak (was told it was pretty gross - and it looked pretty icky to me too) and the mac and cheese. The mac and cheese had a nice texture but a very off/odd taste to it, not sure what it was but I have never not liked a mac and cheese before! The cheddar nuggets were highly rated by all the staff but we found them bland and they got cold really fast. Had the same coating it seemed as the broc cheese casserole, steak, and onion rings. We did not complain as the food wasn't horrible, it was just pretty blah. I don't think we will be back unless maybe for dessert or drinks. It is very pretty inside (though not a fan of the wood tables), you aren't sitting super close to other diners, and the servers are friendly and do seem on top of things. read more

Got seated rather quickly but waited over 10 min for a server. Ordered onion rings, I got steak and ribs, wife got chicken and black beans. Was informed after about 15 min the onion rings somehow got messed up and they would be out soon. They came about 2-3 minutes before the main course so we didn't get a lot of time to enjoy. They were great however and we took them home. My meal was a disappointment. Ribs were ok, fries not crisp and the steak was tough. I let my wife try a piece in case I was being to critical and she agreed. Her meal was fine. Manager never showed up and we paid full price. We will not be back. read more

we were party of four on a table ,we each had a drink and ordered a house salad that was excellent , bur we were half thru our salad the main dish was served , we had no room to eat our salad , so we had to hold it in our hand to finish it AWFUL ! Yum! Certainly worth going, even if there is a wait. Everything was delicious and the servers attentive. Chain joints are hit or miss but Cheddar's is pretty consistent. If you haven't been, would encourage you to go and check it out. read more

Had a delicious dinner with outstanding service for our first, long awaited vist to Cheddars. Maritza was very personable and chatted just the right amount of time at the table. The croissant on the salad with honey butter was so delicious, we ordered 4 to take home for breakfast. Our meals were delicious! One had a creamy plate of grilled chicken alfredo over penne with a side of garlic bread. Another the broiled salmon with balsamic sauce, loaded potato and steamed broccoli. My husband had the monte cristo and fries. I had the chicken pot pie. At the end of our meal since it was our first vist, Travis, the manager, brought fresh baked cookies and personally spoke to is for a few moments to make sure the meal was satisfactory. The whole visit we were constantly asking the manager for refills and drinks because our server was MIA. Wow! I have never been in a restaurant (of any price range) where every employee I encountered was pleasant, courteous, and obviously happy to be there. There are quite a few seniors in the area and all of the employees treated these folks with respect and a smile. It was so refreshing to see! The food was delicious, served quickly, and at the proper temps. My mom and I had the chicken pot pie (the best we've ever had) and my grandson had the maple chicken sandwich. Our side salads were huge, crisp, fresh - and served with a delicious sweet butter croissant. This will definitely be my go-to when visiting family in the area. read more

Food was ok, we went to one in ga yrs ago and it was great. This time let's see, ordered he combo of steak and shrimp with sides if baked potato just butter and at the host said macncheese was good. Wife got country fried steak (which was huge) upon receipt of our food my sides we're only smashed potatoes and nothing else, I asked about the sides I ordered and I was given the potato loaded, not just butter commented on that and was brought a correct potato, also reminded them of my Mac n cheese and it finally came. Never got the A1 steak sauce I asked for twice and only ate half the steak..due to no a1. Oh well we tried.. The search continues! read more

Although I cant eat cheese my daughter wanted to see what they had to offer. I was pleased to see a vegan platter and salads that could be modified. However I ordered a salad with no cheese, but the salad came out with cheese on it anyway. When they corrected the salad it came back with a smaller piece of chicken than the first one, double the iceberg and romaine lettuce , carrot shreds and three tiny cherry tomato halves and a few glazed pecans. For 9.99. Not pleased with the salad offering at that price. It was 85% lettuce. read more

Our first visit, here, was with friends, who had also not been there, before. It was amazing! The service was top notch. The food even better!!! The ambiance was wonderful, too. I kept waiting for "the other shoe to drop", meaning, a mistake, somewhere, to be made. I was so happy to see that this place was just perfect! My girlfriend and I ate there last night. As usual, the food was excellent. I wish I could say the same for the staff they had on duty that night. Our waiter was great, but apparently had to also work kitchen duties. WE never got asked for drink refills or anything. The most disturbing thing was the amount of other staff standing around talking while our waiter ran his butt off. We did say something to the staff at the front door- Who were also busy in conversation with each other. They look surprised and apologized, but no one even bothered to make the effort to do anything. read more

Ordered simple drinks (water w/lemon and coke) and since we already knew what we wanted ordered our meal at the same time. 10 minutes later, we had to ask that our drinks get served. No lemon. Then we had to ask for our napkins and dinnerware. Asked for salad before the meal but meal came first with no salad in sight. Had to ask for our salad. It arrived after our dinner. Wife and I went to Brooksville Cheddars today for the first time. She had the Chicken Pot Pie with a side salad. I had the Salmon & Shrimp with mashed potatoes and broccoli casserole. The wife loved the pot pie. Lots of meat and veggies. The crust was flaky and tasty. The base was very creamy. My salmon was flaky and the shrimp were tender and didn't taste as if they were frozen. The mashed potatoes were stiff and creamy and the broccoli was all crowns no stems. Everything was seasoned perfect and served hot. I only gave 4 stars because the service was a bit slack. When we sat down there was no flatware on the table. Our waitress took the drink order, returned with the drinks and no flatware. My wifes salad came out with only a fork and we still had no flatware. Before I could say anything the waitress was gone. When I didn't see my waitress I asked two other waitstaff for flatware and they both said "a what?". Even our waitress didn't know what flatware is. I said we needed eating utensils she stated she thought we had them. How does the waitstaff not know proper terminology. This is poor training on Cheddars part. We did get utensils just before our food came but it did take 10 minutes of asking. read more

I recently visited this restaurant with 2 other people, and we all very much enjoyed it. We ordered onion rings for an appetizer, and they were the best onion rings that i've had in years. They were piled high on a plate (24), and were delicious. 2 of us ordered the homemade chicken pot pie, and 1 ordered the pecan chicken salad. Again, everything was good. The chicken pot pie was so filling that I took home half of the order. I paid another visit a few days later and got an order of onion rings to go. That's how good they are. read more
