Went in tonight at 6:50pm was seated immediately. After 10 minutes not a single server approached our table. Went up to the hostest stand to see if there was a server for our table & the hostest said she'd get our server. After another 5 minute of multiple servers waking by not acknowledging our table, our party of 4 chose to go somewhere else. This explains why the parking lot is empty. I would have rated them 0 stars, but at least the hostest tried to help. read more

Busy Sunday night, but we only had a 15 minute wait. Service was fine, only issue I had was how loud the restaurant is and that made communicating with the server challenging. Enjoyed the burgers. They were tasty, but a little underdone. Too hungry to send them back. The sirloin was tough and not great, would not go here for a steakhouse experience. But a member of our party wanted steak... So the food was not exciting, but everyone finished their meal and it wasn't crazy expensive. Would try it again the next time I am in Brunswick. My family is pretty picky about food, so it is hard to find a restaurant that everyone will agree to visit. Appreciate the variety of foods on the menu. read more

My family and I attempted to dine here tonight. We were sat immediately, but waited the better part of 15 minutes for someone to take our drinks, another 10 for drinks to come, another 5 for straws ( which we had to ask for repeatedly), and 25 minutes for a stale appetiser of chips and salsa. Our food arrived at at over the one hour mark of us being there. The food was lukewarm at best. My 4 year old daughter's Mac and cheese had a gross crusty film on it and my mashed potatoes were like play doh. The mashed potatoes were also incorrectly dressed . Our rice was sticky and clingy. The steak was cold. Our waitress stopped only sporadically- once for drink order, once for drink drop off, finally get straws, and once to drop off the app. We were largely forgotten about and watched other tables get successfully served as we waited. We requested a manager to state how the food was and said we would pay the app and drinks because we consumed that. Cheddars offered to remake the food but at that point we had to get our 4 year old to bed and we didn't want to wait yet another hour for food. Went in for lunch on 08/02/17, at about 1:30pm. Was seated quickly, my waitress was great. Ordered a steak well done, with baked potato and a side salad. Salad was fine, my steak comes out somewhere between bloody rare and less bloody rare. I sent it back, over 20 minutes later it comes back burnt, and dry. No amount of steak sauce could bring this charred meat back to life. Had them remove steak from the my presence and from the check, all I had for lunch that day was salad........Healthier yes, happier NO!!! read more

We ate here for the first time and were impressed. The bourbon glazed salmon with rice was delicious - the salmon just melted in your mouth. We also had the baked potato and Mac n cheese - both were yummy. The country fried steak was excellent and the green beans were my favorite. Also, our server was super nice and friendly. Well where do I start. Came was seated right away Great! It went down hill from there. Waitress came and took are drink and food order. Got are first drink then nothing guess your only allowed one drink per visit food came and the 8oz I requested was a 6oz. But let me tell you it was excellent! then the loaded bake potatoes here I guess don't come with bacon on them with out a .99 cent up charge which I'd paid had I known. Grilled shrimp was excellent as well not over cooked or dry. The cheese and butter baked potato was a baked potato not sure that can be messed up. So then it's time for the green beans looked excellent smelled good as well buuuutttt they were cold. Over all food was great good job in the kitchen! Other than that poor service. Did see that our waitress was tending the bar as well. So I blame the poor service on the manager for over extending the staff when they were actually busy. Poor job there! May try again at later date. read more

This is the second Cheddars I've been to. After my experience at the first one in another town, I expected good food and good customer service here. I was WRONG. To be fair, I have tried the Cheddars in Brunswick three times. Every time, I received poor customer service. I had a different waitress all three times so I know it's just the staff that sucks. Management apparently has low expectations for themselves and their staff. I hate to say that, but it is true. They are ridiculously slow in taking orders, brining the food, bringing the check. On a slow day with not even half the parking lot full of customers, it should not take an hour to get our food. Needless to say, I will never go to this Cheddars again. read more

Cheddar's is one of our favorite restaurants, so we were ecstatic when we found out one was opening in Brunswick. Needless to say we were very disappointed with our first visit. We sat at the bar- service was good but bar tender was drowning. We waited over an hour for our food and when it finally arrived it was ice cold. I had heard great reviews of this dining establishment from many of my friends and colleagues, so I decided to try out out for myself. The wait time was fairly short upon entry, maybe 15-20 mins. Once we were seated our waitress took our drink orders and came back later for our food orders. Which took another 5-10 mins. Once we had ordered we waited an hour before our food was delivered. It wasn't even fresh..we got cold soup, dry flavorless chicken strips and cold cheese bites. Don't even get me started on the service. Our waitress took far too long for the limited amount of tables she had. Even people around us were complaining that the food was subpar. Would not recommend! We will not be returning! read more

Had dinner tonight, my grilled salmon was good but our dinner was ruined. My daughter's pasta has plastic. Like plastic wrapping the straw. The plastic is crumpled like it was cooked with the pasta. I want to give NO STARS because we got NO FOOD and very little service. Seriously - it took over 10 minutes after promptly being seated for server to come get our order (they were a bit busy but several empty tables available). We got our drinks, one wrong but corrected. Watched 2 other couples get seated 20 minutes after that (still no food), someone took their order AND get their food and we had not even got our appetizer nor salad! Never will step foot in the place again. Prior visits the service was so-so and the food was just average. There are definitely better places to dine than this place!!! My friend took me to this place because she works there. She raved about how good the food was, and how reasonable the prices were. Needless to say I was muy skeptical. So the interior decor is not typical chain restaurant, lots of dark woods and warm tones for the furniture. Four tvs in the bar area, but not loud enough to impede normal conversation level. So we ordered drinks and two appetizers, mac and cheese and cheese fries. Our cheese fries never made it to us, server forgot to put hte order in. That's where the one star loss comes from. I wish they had a half star rating, because it really wasn't a big deal. So she got the Monte Cristo and mashed potatoes and I got a medium cheeseburger with bacon and sauteed mushrooms. In the menu this was a 6 dollar burger and 2 bucks for the fries. The same meal at Chilis is 8.99. The glaring difference the server brought me a sizzling from the grill cheeseburger with bacon poking out from every angle roughly the size of my face. The rest of the plate was filled with fries, and mostly long ones, not those little nubs that end up at the bottom of the fryer. I tried my best to finish it in one sitting but I was unable. I ate the rest for dinner and it was just as good as when I got it the first go round. After this we got dessert, three little samples in shot glasses. I don't recall what she got but I got the chocolate trifle and the Key lime pie. the trifle was a perfect blend of mousse, whipped topping and chocolate cake, and I wanted more. The Key lime was sweet and tart, and my only objection was half the glass was crust crumbles. So now it was time for the check. With tax, two grown ass adults eating a meal that consisted of an appetizer, two entrees and dessert, rolled out with a bill of 30 dollars with tax. Where is the senior management of Cheddars? They need to come in under cover and see how horrible this restaurant to being managed. A good business starts at the top and this is not a good business, its like everyone's eyes are closed. We have been here at least 10 times because we are obviously stupid, we do like the food but the service is horrible. From management to the bus boys all the employees move in slow motion. They walk right past you several times during your visit and absolutely do not acknowledge you or look in the direction of the tables with customers unless their friends or or off duty employees are hanging out then they hover and hang out with them. I think i have finally had enough of being ignored, waiting forever to be acknowledged, waiting forever for my meal, for my refill, for the check and for my receipt! I wonder how many walk outs they have had and if they even realize customers just walk out. We could have walked out several times and no one would have noticed we were gone for 15-20 minutes. This lack of service is unacceptable and the manager should be retrained and or fired. We have to call to make sure were going to be able to sit outside on the very nice patio because there is rarely ever anyone schedule to cover the patio! I have also lost count on how many items they have ran out of! Constantly out of potato skins, croissants etc... this could and should be a great restaurant that everyone enjoys going to but actually it is a chore. As more restaurants open less people are going to put up with this lack of customer service. Someone should install some cameras that they can log into remotely to watch just how bad customer service is and the frustration on the faces of the customers. Please fix it! read more

A friend and I went there around 5 PM in the middle of the week and the place was only half full. It took 10 minutes to get our drinks after we ordered. The waitress didn't ask if we wanted an appetizer. My friend ordered a beer, that took another 10 minutes. I ordered a beer, that took about another 10 minutes. It appeared as if the bartender was just very slow to fill orders, but the waitress was also nowhere to be found for most of our stay. She didn't come around to the tables and ask if we needed anything or more drinks; she just disappeared for 10 or so minutes at a time. After about an hour we finally received our entrees. They mixed up our steaks (and how they were to be cooked) and side orders. My vegetables looked like they pulled them out of yesterday's trash. The waitress took the orders back and had the manager come over. The manager said that she would cover the meals and re-do our order. They said that it would only be about 5-10 minutes, it took about 15-20. The food they brought us wasn't much better that what we originally received. I'd recommend you go elsewhere. read more

We loved Cheddar's in Pooler, GA but since they opened one in Brunswick, GA... doesn't even deserve one star! Why? Poor management who can't run/manage their staff effectively. Yes, there are some good waiters/waitresses and the food is good, but each time we come here - always an excuse from a manager and apologizing. Well tonight I handled it differently, told the manager I don't want to hear the same excuses whereas other restaurants in the area are ran effectively! Oh, let me not forget (on behalf of my husband) only had one of their croissant rolls, all other times....excuses why they don't have any (small oven, getting another oven ordered, etc). Terrible service! Waited an hour for food most of which never arrived. The waitress was apologetic but clearly the kitchen line staff had more important things to do than fill orders. The restaurant was nearly empty at this time. Cooks were out in the parking lot smoking when we left moments later. We foolishly returned exactly a week later and received worse service. We split into two tables. Our other table sat 30 minutes with no waitress. They got half their order. Our table got half completed appetizers and the waitress forgot to take some of our orders. We asked for the manager (Alan) twice and waited 10 minutes for him to show up. He did a horrible job of feigning any concern. There is a common trend "let me see what's going on with your order" is their professional stall technique since we witnessed 3 times with one waitress, twice on this occasion. Apparently our "food order went in 40 minutes late" No sympathy or real apology from Alan. Alan comped the food for the other half(table) of our party but expected us to pay having even had worse service. At this time the drink one of our party order an hour ago showed up. Eventually Alan wrote of the 2 shoddy half correct appetizers we had received so we could work somewhere else. Never seen such a poorly run operation. Once is happenstance twice is an appropriate time to replace the staff from the top down. Drug testing might be the quickest way. read more

My server Elaina was very polite and on the ball but the food was not that great. We ordered the GiGis lasagna, shrimp and chicken and the shrimp and chicken and some other items. They do not offer military discount. The food wasn't very seasoned and the Mac n cheese was old dry and flavorless. Some of the cheese was stiff and burnt. French fries were cold. The crescents were good. That was the best part. Not a place I would go again. Two tables around us complained within the first ten minutes were there. read more

I dined at your Cafe today and the one complaint I have is the length of the waitress' fingernails. Her acrylic nails were so long that they touched the top corners of the plate. If she had moved her hand just a tiny bit her nail would have been in the food.As a health care retiree, we were not allowed let our nails grow long. Nails, especially acrylic nails carry bacteria. I would hope as someone serving the public, your dress code would address long fingernails. I know your wait-staff do not wash their hands often. read more

The first time I came here with a party of 6 and our service was awesome. We had a young man serving us. The next time was with my husband (his first time) and our service was terrible. We ordered an onion ring appetizer and never received it. The manager came over and (I thought) she said we would get our appetizer free because of the long wait, but whenever I mentioned that we never received it, she said yes I took it off your bill. People who came in later than we did received their food before we did. Then I ordered dessert and it was taken to the wrong table. HELLO, if you didn't order a dessert shouldn't you say that's not mine--no they took it. I later heard the waitress tell them belonged to another table and they said sorry and she laughed it off and said she ordered us another one. Well, she came back and said our dessert had not been started so she cancelled it. Yes we got our food at half price but we really wanted the food we ordered. I also have to mention that the first time I went with the party of 6, we waited longer to be seated and there were more people there than today.
