Worst Cheddars in the metroplex hands down not sure if that's the rating they are going for but it sure does seem like it. It wasn't clean the table was so dirty and the floor I had to ask twice to get it cleaned up. The floor had several spills and was slippery and the bathroom very disgusting. The meal was all cold and I definitely got sick but I can't tell you what did it. Either the spinach dip or fish who knows but what I do know is I will never in life visit this location again. Our experience lasted all of 30 min from the phone call to see how long the wait was until we left after ordering our waters, this restaurant doesn't even deserve one star, it deserves to be shut down! We called and asked how long the wait was and the hostess claimed they "couldn't give out that information because it changes so frequently, but that it was busy." Upon walking into the restaurant and speaking with the hostess in person, the wait was only 10-15 min, but she of course denied what was said over the phone was anything that would come out of anyone's mouth. Strike 1. Once it was our turn to be seated, the hostess tried sitting us down at multiple tables, but all were a complete pigstie. Finally, she sat us down at a table that only had food underneath the table, and not all over the tabletop. We asked her if someone would be able to clean up the food that would have been at our feet and she said she would get someone to come clean it up. 5 min passed before the manager came to ask us why we were standing by our table and if everything was ok. We explained the situation and he said he would get someone to come clean it, who ended up being the hostess. Guess she's not a fan of cleaning and was intent on letting us sit at a dirty table. Strike 2. After the table was cleaned we again waited for over 5 min for our server to come ask us for our drinks. After looking around, we discovered it wasn't just our table and the immediate vicinity that was dirty, it was the whole bar and restaurant. So if out front is a pigpen, how does the back look in the kitchen? Strike 3 and we left. The manager and all staff should be ashamed that they let this place get so run down. This was NOT the cheddar's experience we were looking for. I would not recommend this place to anyone, and if you absolutely are starving? I just revised a Cheddars () today and tried to redeem a credit that was given to me due to a couple of missing items I discovered once I returned home from a previous visit. I explained the issue to the manager on duty and was told it was not them and I must have gotten the credit from a store over 10 miles away and had to pay for the entire order as if the missing items were free for me to lose. In short, if I promise something to someone that they paid for and do not deliver it blatant stealing, and I would end up discussing it with the police after getting a free ride to jail. However, this company stole from me, and I wanted to make everyone aware of this so that they check their order before leaving or expect that they are giving Cheddar's a donation whether they wanted to or not. Be careful Chaddar's food is great it's just their staff that sucks. You may want to get your food elsewhere. Good luck. read more

Came here on a Saturday night with my family. Cheddars is always a favorite of ours because they have decent food for very low prices. All of the food came out hot and delicious. The service did have a few hiccups. The waitress forgot to bring the straws, my sister's side salad was not delivered until the end of the meal, my toddler's drink was brought out in a glass rather than a kids cup, & The floor needed sweeping. None of these issues would automatically warrant a negative review (independently), but combined it was irritating. The waitress did try to rectify the situation by providing us with a free order of croissants; which was appreciated. Overall I would say that this establishment is average. Not great... Hi there, I stopped in to have a nice lunch. I love their ribs. So, I buy a full rack and take home half so I can munch on them at a later time. Seriously very good. It's almost 3pm and I have an annoying vacuum cleaning the floors while I'm eating. They open at 10:30am, what is up with this restaurant?? I stopped visiting this Cheddars long time ago due to the inconsistency of their disgusting food and lack of decent service. We really wanted some cheddars and didn't feel like driving to the one in Irving. It was a tragic experience once again but this time no food at all. We ordered food at 4:15, and food was supposed to be ready at 4:45. We get there right when our food is suppose to be ready. Very hard to get a to go parking spot but we got one. We should have known to run a way and ask for refund upon first approach when a young lady came out multiple times confused and giving people wrong orders. We knew it was busy and tried to be understanding. She came to our car at around 5:15, and asked us our Order name. She never came back and we waited another 20 mins. We finally went in and waited another 15mins. Over an hour passed since we ordered our food. We asked again and we told them we have been waiting for over an 1hr, and they said another 45 minutes and we need to wait in our car. That is beyond ridiculous so we asked for a refund, got our refund receipt and left. At 6:45 we received a text that our remake request was complete and our food was ready. I was like this has to be a joke. Did they think people would really wait over 2 hrs for their food?? I know those workers be making extra food and taking food home, and I know I better get my refund in my account. At this point they need to give up and close this despicable establishment. I've been to a few different cheddar's now and I found myself enjoying most of the foods they offer. This particular visit was my first time trying the nachos and they were better than expected. One thing in particular about the nachos that you don't get elsewhere is a side of queso and salsa which allows you to dip the uncovered or naked chips that often accompany nachos. we also enjoyed a Monte Cristo and hamburger and fries. I will say this particular location could use better management as the facility was quite filthy, the floors were littered with debris and the entire time we were there nobody bothered to clean. our table was also A little dirty dirty as were the seats, it look like somebody threw a party with a tornado as one of the guests. our waitress was good but not great in comparison to other Cheddar's locations but with that said she was better than what we have witnessed in other establishments in the vicinity. obviously as previously mentioned the food was good Which is the only reason I am giving them four stars and not three *Poor *Decent *Good *Great *Best *JLFoodie Certified Food. Before I write my review of the service, let's talk about these first numbers. This concerns me more than the experience because it doesn't ADD UP. These sketchy charges aren't making sense. If the Dallas sales tax is 8.25%, my charge shouldn't be near $17.95. I ordered the combination plate "Steak & Tenders". That is a total of $13.99 X 8.25% = $15.14. All the screenshots prove that. Also, I ordered water, I know no restaurant that charges for water. Now let's get to the bank statement. Why are these numbers high and nowhere near $15.14? WHY DO I HAVE A DOUBLE CHARGE??? I did tip $1 because the service and food were terrible. The steak was salty, my baked potato was made with high-grade plastic, and the mac & cheese was sour. It took an hour to get this food too. It wasn't primetime either. All these problems adding up deserves a review of 0 STARS. Basically, where is my money? Where is the real charge amount that should go into my bank? Does the double charge go to the server, the hostess, the manager? What is this sketchy bs? If you are in Dallas for the weekend, avoid this location at all costs. I placed an order online for Cheddar's located in Dallas @ 39640 Lyndon B Johnson Freeway. When I picked up my food I had food that I did not order and the food I did order, I didn't receive. When I spoke with a manager (Hernan) at that location, he was rude. He tried to insist that I placed the order put my online receipts said something totally different. The manager thought he was going to force me to keep the food but I explained to him, I was not because I didn't order it! Even after taking the food back there was no real compassion about the situation with management and Hernan offered nothing for my inconvenience. Double check your order before you leave and make sure they're giving you everything you paid for because even after correcting my order, I still end up paying for something I didn't get. This place needs some help. Pro there was no wait to be seated and delicious croissants were delivered right away while the drink order was taken. Also, the food was decent. Employees were working on keeping the restaurant well swept up. Cons: It took over 10 minutes to receive our first drinks (served in disposable cups with no ice). The server's response was there was ice in them. Well, maybe at one point, but there was no ice in them and they were served. After about 15 minutes the Servicer came to inform us that two side items we ordered were out of stock. We placed our orders right after receiving our drinks, but the food took over a 20 minute wait after that. The food runner delivered the main courses to which we asked about our side salads typically side salads should be served before the main entrées. He said he would get them. A few minutes later the server showed up with the salads. At this point, we asked for another round of drinks, to which they showed up a few minutes later, in a new set of disposable cups. The men's restroom was not stocked with paper towels, and the soap dispensers were not working. I am wondering how the employees can wash their hands in this condition. There were flies in the dining room. Remedies: Make sure all restrooms are fully stocked and cleaned throughout the service times. Cut down on waste by using reusable cups. Keep the process, sanitary and transparent by refilling with jugs or carafes. Reorganize staffing and or responsibilities for quicker service. Add fly light traps in the dining room to illuminate flies overnight. Keep an 86 list on the whiteboard in the kitchen and make sure each server knows when it is updated. The chef or expo should catch any out-of-stock items on an order when the order comes in. read more

Had dinner at this specific restaurant we sat in the bar area. I haven't visited this location in a while and I will not be back , there was an altercation in the bar area that got out of hand law enforcement was called we had to jump up from our table for safety reasons. But the manager handled it well but due to the situation we loss our appetite end up packing up our food when we finally got it which wasn't delivered till after the altercation now it was cold. My first time here. The service was great. The waitress was very nice and friendly. I ordered the dinner portion of the chicken fried chicken over texas toast with mashed potatoes and green beans. The Spasagna here is so damn good I can't stand it. Who doesn't like spaghetti clumped together like lasagna and then covered in meat sauce? For $7.59, I get full and always manage to take some home as a snack. I wish they would include a salad for that price, but they don't and you need to spend $1.99 to add a side salad. It does come with a crappy piece of garlic bread that I could do without and never eat, but I guess they are trying to make an Italian display. We went here for lunch the other day and the wait for our food took way too long, but without us even complaining the manager came out, apologized for the long wait and said our tab would be significantly discounted. Score! 8 people ate for $37, talk about a discount and we didn't even ask for it, but of course we didn't turn it down either. The parking lot was packed but there was no wait. In the midst of the pandemic Cheddar's is doing one thing well and that is thr social distance of parties by blocking off tables... thank you for that. I have been to this restaurant more than several times over the years. It hasn't always been the GREATEST but I support this particular one because it is on my side of town and semi healthy meals that are affordable aren't that easy to come across. Hopefully that will change but I digress. I came in to celebrate with my sister but noticed a few servers without their masks on properly... literally one server/runner come out of the kitchen with her mask UNDERNEATH her chin while holding 2 plates... our server rolled up with her mask under her nose serving crossaints and a couple of others with similar wear. So we asked for the manager from the hostess, and to my surprise our server showed back up. I asked was she the manager and she was polite enough to say no.... but I didn't want her to feel singled out because she wasn't the only one... After she quickly admitted she was not management but was happy to resolve any issue, the manager was available and at our table. After speaking to the manager we started receiving extra glances from the staff as well as one individual wearing an extended black Santa cap, made it a point to come by, pass with her back to me and then turned to look at me. She and her manager went to the kitchen to stare more and show displeasure of being corrected by said manager, about to wear the mask. Again there to support during the pandemic but I would never return to this one again based on the stank attitude given after the correction was made, my Blue Moon didn't make it to the table, but the attitude of the server did along with the crew. But at least the othe crew members started pulling the mask on their face or over their noses. Worst Cheddar's I've ever been to and I love this restaurant. The one on Lyndon B Johnson was embarrassingly bad. Went on Monday and was told I had a 30 minute wait while there were easily a dozen open tables. Went back yesterday at 330pm. Like 8 cars in the parking. Was told I had to sit at the bar because none of the tables were clean. I don't sit at bars when I'm eating dinner. My grandmother arrived around 6:00pm and asked the wait time, which she was told 1.45hr she proceeded to put our names down for the group of 15-20. After about an hour went by we decided to see if the wait time stayed the same. After giving the name of our group the hostess began yelling for a manager very loudly across the restaurant. Talking under her breath and rolling her eyes at me and my mother. Once the manager came she made them remove themselves. The manager talked to the host for about 5 minutes then proceeded to talk to 2 other groups before looking our way. She told us that they called us on the phone several times and there was no answer. I tried telling and showing her I had not one missed call form the restaurant and she just did not care. She told us we could wait another 2 hrs but we're not getting a table any time soon. It tasted like they let it sit in the grease and then the grease tasted old like it hasn't been changed in forever . On the contrary the fries were undercooked, bland and stuck together.
