Terrible. We sat in the bar for 15 minutes before anyone took our drink order. Then ordered our food - one chicken sandwich, one burger, cooked medium. The food took almost a half hour to come out. The burger was RAW, not undercooked, but RAW. Red and cold and slimy, and falling apart on the bun. The kitchen made a new one, and after about 20 minutes it was delivered to our table by a waiter. Our waiter told us the manager was working on it, had educated the cook, and would be our to speak with us. I have been there twice with my Fiance. The decor is very nice. The table seating is tight and very close together. They do have music playing but the conversations of everyone there overwhelms the entire thing. They have Chicken Fried Steak on the menu and it is one of my favorite things t hat I always get where ever I go but when I got it, it was a breaded chicken breast. When I asked the waiter, he thought that Country Fried Steak and Chicken Fried Steak were different and I got what I asked for. The second time we went, we had a waitress so I asked about the Chicken Fried Steak and she told me that they no longer have that on the menu...keep in mind this restaurant just opened. I ordered the Turkey Triple Decker Club and not very impressed. It was dry and bland and didn't even bother eating it or boxing it up to go. My husband and I went here for our anniversary dinner. The restaurant was packed so we opted for bar seating. The bartender was very friendly and our food was AMAZING!!!! The only con would be it was a little hard to refills because the bartender was so busy with her section and making the rest of the drinks for the resturant. read more

I've eaten at Cheddar's in NC several times, and I was happy to find the same quality of food and service at this location. We stopped in for a late dinner on a Saturday night, on the way to Mammoth Cave. We had no problems getting a seat, and our server was very friendly and attentive. The chicken tenders were delicious as usual, and the honey mustard chicken breast was just what I wanted. Highly recommended. read more

Worst Cheddars Scratch Kitchen I've ever been too. I recently moved to the area and was excited to see there was a Cheddars because it's my favorite place to eat. I came there for lunch on June 12 th and it was the worst experience I've had at a Cheddars. Our waitress Andrea.C. Was rude , constantly pushing to give us the check before we could even get through half our meal. They brought out our appetizer at the exact same time as entree . The "grilled chicken" on our salads was NOT fresh in the slightest. Tasted like something that came from McDonald's. Chicken was ice cold and mushy. We called for reservations because we had a group of 15, and were told they don't do reservations but they would accommodate us. After waiting 20 minutes we get our seats which were two booths in opposite corners of a small section and a table. It took almost 15 minutes for the waitress to come just to take our drink orders. However, they were very courteous. Once we finally ordered our food, one table got their food. By the time the other 2 tables got theirs, the first was already finished! I usually am not the person the writes reviews. But me and my family went in for lunch on March 4th. Over 20 of us after a funeral for my uncle. Service and the food was great some of us wondering back and forth from table to table or making a few trips to the bar. So probably not the most accommodating bunch to have to serve. But that really doesn't matter. We was all done eating and drinking. Ready to leave when the waitress came up sorry I should have gotten her name. She said "I want to say sorry about your lose and your bill is taking care of.". We don't know if was Cheddar's themselves or someone in the restaurant at the time. Went a couple times. The 1st was really good and the service was great. It was during the dinner rush and we a a table of 5. They fucked up the order but made it right and the food was cooked pretty well. I got a ribeye medium. It was a little over cooked bit it was still good. The 2nd time I went was with the wife after the dinner rush maybe an hour before they closed. The place was a ghost town. The service was shit. They fucked up the order again, which was a cheese burger and fries! Lol. We waited hella long! Made me not wanna go back again. I do like the atmosphere and decor tho. Especially the fish tank. Cheddar is one of the better restaurants to go to in town. The service is ok but that is mostly because the place is always packed. The main thing here is that the food tastes great and you get huge portions for extremely cheap prices for something this good. I haven't had a menu item that I didn't like. Some of the things that are really good are the appetizers southwest spinach dip and the onion rings. These are must orders. I also really enjoy the new Orleans pasta, the chicken alfredo, chicken fingers, the burgers are delicious and the fish tacos are good. I would definitely recommend this for families or just going to eat at a nice casual sit down restaurant. read more

A friend and I went on a Saturday night got seated with on 5 min our server was Randy (YO Randy) GREAT service refilled drinks before having to be asked to, I was with a friend I had not seen in a few years so he was great that we visited then ordered. We recently moved to Elizabethtown and have eaten here at LEAST once a week. The menu is great; everything we have ordered has been delicious. Service is wonderful - your drink will NEVER be empty. Surprised at some of the reviews. This place is excellent! The price is very reasonable. The food is great! Even when they are super busy somehow the wait is always reasonable! I don't know how they do it but they keep it moving. I know this is going to sound messed up but some of the waitresses are a little homely but there are some great ones too. This is without a doubt the best restaraunt in the area. Love it!!! Love it!!!! Only piece of advice to the business is to keep up the great work, keep serving the great food, keep being prompt, in the near future add a few more things to the menu, and hire smart and sharp looking waitresses and waiters. We have enjoyed almost everything we have had there. Normally the service is good and normally the food arrives in a timely manner. The portion size seems to be generous. The (unsweet) tear was very good and NOT too weak as you find in most restaurants. It is a large restaurant and if they have the staff you can get in Sunday after church. Then, it was almost a hour before we received food! We had four young children and waiting almost two hours for food is way too much!! There was no explanation or apology. My husband took me out there on Mother's Day and it was one of the worst experiences we have ever had. We were seated immediately, we got our drinks immediately and then everything went down from there. Our appetizer which was onion rings were cold, our croutons in our salads were stale. My husband, son and I visited Cheddars for the first time last week. To sum up the experience: mediocre food, great prices, poor service. I ordered steak and shrimp. The shrimp was actually pretty great but the steak and sides tasted like they were rejects from Golden Corral (which I actually like). For the price, I probably wouldn't complain had the service been acceptable. Our waitress asked if I'd like a drink menu, never brought it. Never brought my son any silverware. When I asked for silverware for my son, she disappeared for about 15 to 20 minutes before returning with wet utensils. By then, I had retrieved my own from the hostess station. She never brought napkins, we found our own. I was never offered a refill. My glass remained empty throughout the meal until I finally asked for a refill. Maybe the waitress was just sleepy and having a hard time remembering things. I don't know. Oh, and also contributing to my poor review of Cheddars, I saw a waiter cough over a patrons meal while carrying it to their table. Ew. Overall, I don't think I will ever return. The price is right but the food is not good,I question the cleanliness (only because the coughing, the rest of the restaurant was clean)and the service needs improvement. *our son really liked the fish tank. I was very disappointed. Cheddars he been one of my favorite go to places. I have eaten at the Cheddars in Indiana and Kentucky (Louisville). I was excited to see E-town had one we were ordering take out. Called, was placed on hold for 3 1/2 minutes finally was able to speak to someone - Yvette. She placed me on hold yet again for another 3 minutes. She finally answered again as if I were a new call and when I began talking the call was disconnected. I called back, should not have at this point. It was Yvette again. She took my order. End of story. When we got home our food was all messed up and items we requested not present and food, it was so spiced hot it could not be eaten. I have NEVER eaten something at a Cheddars that hot. Made us question if this was just a petty prank on our food by poor service. I will not be back to that location. So sad. read more

Cheddar's happens to be on the very top of my family's list of "keeper" restaurants. Though the waiting period to get a table is long most of the time, the great food they serve is well worth the wait. Every time my family & I have eaten at Cheddars, we have found the staff to be very friendly and professional. We've made Cheddars our "go to" place when we crave that "special" food fix, like their "Chicken Dijon with Mushrooms" (absolutely delicious). Their food portions are "huge", so it's better to go to Cheddars on an empty stomach! read more
