It's great bar food and has quite a wide selection. The staff is kind of blah and plating isn't very impressive, but the food tastes good.

We were traveling home from Tennessee? Hubby doesn't like veering off from e way. I found Cheddars on Yelp. We really enjoyed everything including Spinach dip. I had Catfish, hubs had Chicken Strips. Never been more disappointed in a dinner. First, our server,Aaron took 45 minutes to get us drinks, my dads adult beverage took an hour. Apps came out and the cheese bites were cold. Sour cream was melted on the spinach dip. Obviously the apps sat in the window for a long time. Our waiter was nowhere to be seen during the 3 hours we were there. My husband was without a refill for at least half the time. My mom was missing her honey mustard. The waiter forgot to order my dads second drink, the first got delivered to the wrong table because where was our waiter to make sure we got it? Weve had this guy before in a smaller section. Hes awful. I don't know which manager decided to put him in the big party section on father's day but that was dumb. The table next to us had problems too. Managers....please monitor the big tables more carefully. Not once did a manager do a table touch. To our table or to any table in our section. That's management 101...table touches. 2.5 hours at the table and not once? Come on. Food was ok, dad liked his drinks. That's why it's not 1 star. I went to Cheddars on a recommendation from a coworker. I am glad that this person had good taste. Cheddars is the same atmosphere as Chilis or Applebees just a little more upscale in the appearance. The food was amazing, and prices were great for the portions. For a couple it cost us $35 for two entrees, an appetizer, a dessert, beverages, and a couple additional sides to try. To me that is simply great, it seems like anywhere you go anymore prices are absurd for the portions and quality especially in chain stores. Went here today to get a burger while running errands. Two greeters, one of which wanted to seat me, other just runs in a random direction after muttering "this is faster", before back in opposite direction and almost barreling in to me. Seats me at nearest empty seat, doesn't say a word, then scowls at me after almost running in to me a second time in her rush to get back to her conversation. I then waited ten minutes before being acknowledged and served. It wasn't that they were busy, the servers were just nonexistent. And by non existent I mean hanging out at the bar ignoring customers. I used to work customer service, in food, so I can understand the stresses of the job. But this was off peak hours (1:30 pm on a week day), and I was treated first as an inconvenience and then ignored. This is officially the second worst service I've ever experienced. read more

I love this restaurant. Me and my parents stoped in when picking me up from my brothers house. I loved the stake, mac and cheese and mashed potatoes. I love the waiter, he's super nice and funny. We are from out of town, we came to Findlay to buy a car, went to Cheddar's for a late lunch/early dinner, we were pleasantly surprised! The food was delicious; I had the chicken strips and blackened shrimp, my husband had the chicken strips and ribs. The food was great, but the service is what we will go back for! Christine was our waitress and made sure to help us with every need we had! She made great suggestions on what to order and made sure to kept checking on us. When the manager found out we were first time customers he came and brought us each homemade chocolate chip cookies. He took a genuine interest in our lives and related to his own. He then offered us both a free sample of the Potato Soup, super yummy! He made sure to come back and check on us multiple times and thank us for our business. We highly recommend Cheddars, and will be coming back anytime in that area! read more

This place is great. My daughter and I can get lunch with dessert for less than $15. Speaking of dessert if you eat here treat yourself to the monster cookie. It is amazing. A 6 inch chocolate chip cookie with ice cream, whipped cream, chocolate syrup and a cherry on top. But order it with the rest of your meal because the make it to order. We called ahead to check wait time. There was no wait at 8:30pm. We were seated in the bar there was only on other table seated and a couple people siting at the bar. The server was prompt in getting our drink order. We were not ready to order yet. Then a large group of people came in. At first my date was frustrated at how long it took the server to return to take our order then we notice she was the only one working the bar area. There were other employees standing behind the bar but no one else seemed to be take or making orders. Our server quickly return to our table after serving drinks to the new group of people. She apologized for the wait took our order and brought more to drink. The bar area be came loud and difficult for us to talk. The food was good with no complaints. The server was prompt for working the bar and lounge area. My only complaint would be that they should have some seating outside the bar area for people that would like it a little quieter. Today I went to Cheddar's with my family to have a birthday dinner. Today is my birthday we called prior to warn them of the need for a 7 person table, even though they do not have call ahead seating. We walked in and the Host said he just needed to "set up the table." So we sat down. Another 3 person group walked in behind us and said they needed seating for 7, (but 4 were not there yet). A different Host walked up and sat them at a table immediately. While we sat and watched. Then they asked us if a booth with a chair at the end would work for us. When I asked him to show me how big the booth was, I saw the 3 people sitting at the table, at which point I explained that I knew that would have to work, since you sat someone who came in behind us at our table. He then attempted to apologize profusely as he thought that group was us. AGAIN, 7 of us were sitting on the benches right beside him. . Food was mediocre at best. Been going here for 10+ years and is amazing every single time! Spinach dip is insanely delicious. If you are a desert person the Cookie Monster is very good. I would give 5 stars if wasn't for my experience last night. Got the chicken buffalo wrap (which I order the most consistently when I come back to findlay and eat here). Bit in to the wrap and tasted like raw chicken that was thrown on the grill for a min to get a little char on the outside. I told them they took it back, threw it in the microwaveable Gave it back so dry, I lost my appetite. Took one bite of dinner and had to get Taco Bell on the way home cause the family already ate. Manager did take the chicken off the bill, waitress said he would be back to talk to me about the dryness. He never came back. Don't get me wrong, this place is usually amazing, but it's experiences like this one that will make me not return. read more

It is pretty decent and they give you so much you almost have to take leftovers with you BUT what has killed it for us were the last two visits (yes, we tried one more time) was the first episode that was take out: I wait a good half hour before leaving home (after ordering the food) and showing up to pick it up. I live about 10 minutes away, but they still made me what another 15 minutes sitting at the bar only to find the food looked shoveled and disheveled into the boxes as if they were in a hurry and for some reason, the bar tender thought my change was her "tip" even though I hadn't ordered anything to drink or eat from her. By that point, I just wanted to leave. When I get home, the food was cold and tasted like it had sat for a long time. The last visit, the boyfriend had used the facilities and when he came back, he reported to me and my daughter that the server (OUR server) who came out ahead of him hadn't bothered washing his hands. You can always count on good food at a reasonable price at Cheddars. Their spinach dip is the best around and I don't think there's a meal on the menu I wouldn't recommend.. We frequent Cheddars a few times a month because it is very near our house and we have had no issues before. This time the food was good, the same as always, but the service was horrendous. I felt like our waitress was angry at us the whole time we were there. We made no special requests or anything out of the ordinary but she was very short with us and slammed our check on to the table without saying a word. We heard her yelling at another waiter very near our table and just made for an uncomfortable experience. We had our friend from out of town with us and it was disappointing. The food was good but didn't make up for the uncomfortable environment. read more

I love this place! Maybe my favorite restaurant in Findlay. I love especially anything they serve that is hand battered and fried. If you want healthy options though, they have those too! I get the Chicken Tender Basket every time, and while that may sounds like a children's meal, trust me, that thing is high quality chicken in high quality batter. If you like honey mustard, you HAVE to try their honey mustard sauce with it. They have a chicken tender basket, and a chicken tender platter. The basket is an "appetizer", but the portions are so good it could be an entree. I think it's at a pretty fair price too. read more

After we were seated there was clearly confusion as to which of the staff was to wait on our table. When we received our order, by someone other than our server, a salad was omitted, (we immediately told the kitchen staff person that delivered the food), to few crackers for the soup, we never received refills on our drinks, and we didn't receive the crescent rolls, in fact we never received a visit from anyone of the staff again. We finally got up and left, we informed the manager of the problems, but he left us with the impression that he wasn't concerned about the problems, but was more concerned about which waiter we had and where we were seated. This place was packed. I initially came in very understanding as it was graduation night locally. We were instructed to stand by a table until the busser could clean it. Waited 10 minutes before we finally asked a server is she could get someone. Found out later that our waitress actually passed us by 3-4 times without picking up the dirty plates. After seated waited again for about 10 min for our waitress, Mary to take our drink order. When she finally came, we ordered appetizers, drinks and our food all In one fell swoop. Our appetizers (and dirty plates to eat from) came long before our drinks. At the end of our appetizers we finally flagged our waitress to ask if we could get the drinks. My frozen Margarita was no longer frozen and had to wait for a new drink. She never check on us, never offered drink refills. She was awful! She walked to the kitchen empty handed everytime instead of taking away our dirty dishes. Service was awful, food was good. Mary is Very single minded and incapable of multitasking. First off...... it was not that crowded and our waiter kept disappearing nice guy but several tables were empty and he just kept disappearing.I ordered my steak medium rare when it came out it was a little pink no big deal I cut into my second bite and it was purple and bleeding asked for the manager because after needing the hostess to get our waiter for the third time we needed him and he disappeared and we wanted steak sauce I decided to get the manager and he took it off the bill because my boyfriend already finished eating and there was no point in getting it reheated when I asked him just to take it off the bill be done with it he told me take it home reheat at home and it'll be better then as he walked away that is not customer service that is not how a manager should act not only did this upset me it disrupted two tables around me as we were trying to keep this issue discreet and were upset by it as well, and that will be the last time we go to cheddars if I have to take it home and cook it myself what's the point in going there and paying for it there read more

Today was the first visit to your resturant in Lafayette La. The service was surely not up to par, and when my mother ordered the chicken pot pie the waitress came back and said that there was non; she then chose the lasagna and again the waitress came back and said there was none! She then ordered a sirloin 8oz. steak with baked potato; the steak was very tuff and the potato was not even hot; my potato was the same way; by that time we decided not to send it back since she had an appointment within an hour; and it had already taken an hour and one half to get served! just thought you may want to hear feedback, since i was told by someone else right after our experience that the night before she had gone there and it was the same thing with very slow service; although she said the food was fair. read more

The food is always good. The service keeps getting worse and worse. I was very disappointed tonight, 5/8/14. We sat in the bar area and had to wait at least 15 min. to get served and that was because i ask a woman for service. She was very rude and i wish i could have got her name but they don't wear name tags. She seemed like a manager by her bossy ways. I will think hard and long about the next visit and will not send out compliments to my friends. don't know how so many people can rate this place so highly. must have been something i didn't eat. greens of the salad good romaine. couple of cherry tomatoes and some cheap cheese doesn't make a salad tho. had to ask for more dressing. the pastey white "gravy" on top the mashed potatoes like glue. couldn't decide what the crunchy awful tasting stuff in mashed potatoes, then found the broccoli in it. didn't order broccoli. did order the green beans but if menu had stated broad italian beans instead i would not have ordered them. mac and cheese the smallest item on the plate; pretty much velveeta boxed m/c, not home made unless you consider boiling pasta scratch cooking. so my plate of vegetables were a bust. hubby said his burger was better the a lot of places. asked for swiss cheese but they don't have that but waiter said they did have a white american??? onion rings very greasy. the hustle and bustle just kept you shoveling in the food to keep up. too busy, too many waiters in one small area. not my kind of restaurant. no reason to ever return. read more

I had occasion to eat there on March 1st, 2017 with two other friends. We were on our way to visit a friend in a nursing home and them on to a local funeral home for visitation the night before my mother-in-law's funeral. We had intended to get a meal but thought perhaps we would start with a bowl of soup. The waiter (R) seemed preoccupied with something other than giving us proper service. Two of us ordered a bowl of soup. One friend ordered chicken. After serving us he never really came back to make sure everything was okay or if we needed anything else. I had ordered the Homemade Chicken Tortilla Soup and one of my friends ordered the Homemade Baked Potato Soup. He liked his soup. My soup was a joke. The soup was watery. There were two small bits of chicken in the soup. I have ordered this previously and the soup was delicious. The restaurant itself did not seem to be that busy, so I cannot attribute poor service and less than substandard food to being the reason mid-week. There is a Cheddar's closer to where I live and we've always had great food and service there. I doubt very seriously I will ever go back to this particular restaurant at this location. Word of mouth can sometimes be the worst advertising for a business. Enough said?! read more
