Just avoid this place altogether. Service is subpar and food would've been decent if I wouldn't of found a huge melted chunk of plastic in mine. I ordered a buffalo chicken wrap with a side of cheesy broccoli & rice casserole and in the casserole is where I found the plastic. Skip this place. Dirty environment. Long wait times for fried food. Fried coconut shrimp took nearly an hour to arrive to table and was cold. My partners food was barely warm. Sunday lunch was busy at Cheddars but the three of us were seated with little waiting. It went down hill from there. Right away I noticed how much stuff littered the floor. I have never seen it like that before. Busy as they were tables were not cleared quickly. Many had dirty dishes, long after the people left. One of the best things about Cheddars is the appetizers. The cheese bites we got were more breading than cheese. Then our meal. When we finally got it. Some of the food came out cold. No server to be seen to tell. No manager to be seen. I never blame the server for a slow kitchen they can't control that but to ignore us when you waited on the table just behind me isn't acceptable when we needed a box and the check. I went to the restroom and saw 3 still wrapped straws on the floor. They were still there when we left 2 hours later. Service was horrible. Had Anthony. Simple request like extra ice and lemon with our tea had to be repeated twice before we had them. Brought refills back incorrectly.... every time. Four in our party. Brought wrong dressings and no ketchup brought to table when requested. I believe he left at least once for a smoke break. Literally only three tables on the patio. Finally, as my half filled glass of tea was ice less I just requested a glass of ice. He brings me back unsweetened ice tea (with still very little ice) versus just the glass. And my friends Diet Coke was brought back as a regular coke. Wrong again. Listen Anthony. Listen. We won't be back for a while now. I always tip at least 20% most times more. Not this time. I had been served Facebook ads for this place since the day I moved to Findlay. After driving past it a couple of times, I finally decided to try it with my fiancé. They ha that a whole bunch of menu options and the service was great. Inside was very clean and decorated with cool ceiling fixtures/fans and live plants. I got a buffalo chicken wrap and it could feed 4 people, I swear. I also got a side of the broccoli casserole and it was excellent. I love this place. We drove 1 hour to have lunch, and it was totally worth it. First, the appetizer: those "twin towers" of onion rings. I'm not a big onion ring guy, but these are amazing! And the ranch and petal sauce to dunk them in are really good as well. My wife ordered the 8oz sirloin and shrimp with a loaded baked potato and green beans, and I had the grilled white fish (blackened), with a loaded backed potato and cole slaw. Perfection! This place is filthy. Was initially seated at a table with dried food all over the tabletop. Was reseated to a booth that once again had a dirty tabletop. The carpeted floor was covered in dirt. under the table was dirty and full of crumbs. Considering we were there early, more than likely the filth was from the night before. What a bummer. We've both eaten Cheddars locally and enjoyed (well, one of us more so than the other), but the experience with this location was disappointing. First up: being seated on the patio, and when asking if guests were able to smoke, the hostess, while affirming they were, acknowledging it rarely happens. Approximately 10 seconds after she left I noted the ashtray and lighter on the table RIGHT next to us. Next, and I get the restaurant staff doesn't have control over this, but why, contractors, when you have a 4ish' wide stall, would you put the toilet not only approximately 4" from the wall, but also directly inline of the crack of the door and for all to view one's business? If you go, you've been warned. Watch out for (or watch into?) that middle stall. 3rd strike: my meal coming out lukewarm and hub's meal being incomplete. It's not unreasonable to expect bourbon glaze ON the Bourbon Glazed Grilled Salmon, right? Although the server did apologize for my lukewarm meal and offered to have it re-made, I was nearly halfway through before she came back by to check. Staff is rude. Orders are not correct. And the limited menus is a joke. We were told they do not have fries with the new limited menus. Took over 5 minutes for a waiter to come over after we were seated. Seated closer than 6 feet from other diners. Wall/woodwork above table covered in thick cobwebs and a mummified fly. We went here for a lunch after a high school graduation. We were initially told it would be a 20 minute wait and I understand that we had a larger then normal party, however the host nor the manager did not ask if we would be able to split the group. After waiting for over an hour we approached the host and ask if we could just be seated at separate tables for our group. We were seated 15 minutes later in 4 different tables. It then took over 20 minutes to get something drink and then another 20 minutes to get the appetizers and then another 20 minutes for the main course. Stopped at Cheddars in Newport News VA, and were pleasantly surprised! We're from the north where Cheddars has yet to expand, so this was a new experience for us. Atmosphere was excellent, lighting just right, everything was spotlessly clean. I was a bit cold, but that's the norm for me, my husband was quite comfortable, and other diners seemed so as well. We were very pleased with both the taste and quality of the meals, as well as the generous portion size and...the price! We're from midway between Boston and New York, and let's just say, you can't get a meal like that for twice the price up here. Kudos, Cheddars! Great food and great prices, but the staff is usually unfriendly! The host/ess never bothers to say hello or acknowledge that someone is waiting to be seated..they are usually too busy talking to each other. This is one of the really great lower priced meals places to eat. I've never ordered anything that didn't meet my requirements. Great burgers and sandwiches if that's all want. The cook apparently doesn't know what medium rare is either. I cannot say that I would recommend this place or even eat there again. Rated one star because they made detrimental changes to the Lemon Pepper Chicken entree . This entree should no longer be called lemon pepper due to the lack of seasoning. The name would be more appropriate if called salt and pepper chicken. The bed of rice also took a devastating turn for the worse when they decided to remove the seasoning, carrots, peas, and onion turning this entree into a dull disappointing plate of food. In the past I would have given this place four or five stars when Stacy was the manager, but since she's gone the service has really gone downhill. When Stacy was the GM we rarely had a problem with service or the food and if we did she would correct the problem on the spot. Last time we went there we waited almost a half hour for our order to get taken and then another 45 minutes on the food. After a half hour we complained and the manager on duty told us the head cook cut himself and another employee had to rush him to the ER and they were down two employees due to that. I normally don't expect a discounted meal but when it takes over an hour and 15 minutes from the time you are seated to get your food they should adjust the bill. The really funny thing is that I mentioned it to an employee at the Findlay client and he said him and his wife were given that same excuse two different times when they complained about the wait on their food:) Apparently the head cook needs training on how to use a knife:) Avoid the shrimp, more breading than meat. The Asian salad is good. This is the only place I've found in Findlay with an Edamame appetizer and I love the spices. The Spasgna and Shepard's Pie are my favorites. The drinks I've had at the bar have always been really good. If you are dining with only one other person and don't mind eating at the bar, the service seems to be a lot faster there than sitting in the dining area read more

This is my favorite restaurant and is always my go to place to eat. I love the food, the portions, the price, and the atmosphere. The spinach dip is unbelievable and is probably my favorite menu item but the chicken tenders and the Monte Cristo come in a very close second. I've never had a bad dish here so you really can't go wrong no matter what you get. An utter disaster! Our server had greasy hair and rotten teeth. I could see dirt under her fingernails. After forever, she brought my Manhattan and disclosed to our table she could smell the brown liquor and booze! Unacceptable. A Manhattan should be bourbon as I order with a splash of vermouth and bitters. This drink was the antithesis in that I was practically drinking bourbon scented juice. I asked if the salmon was farm raised or fresh and she didn't understand what I was speaking in regards. I had a Cesar salmon salad and I asked for it to be medium rare as salmon should be prepared. She brought me a pre-cooked microwaved piece of colored slab of disgusting tuna can consistency and it was inedible. My second drink because I couldn't take the first one was a vodka neat up. She brought it chilled and it had vermouth in it and the largest piece of lemon rind I've ever seen in a drink. IT GETS WORSE! My mother who is the kindest woman, virtuous of respect and patience was appalled by her potato. She advised it was cold and stale and old and again; inedible. I proceeded to the washroom to wash my hands of it so we could depart and while I was in there I could hear childish banter, profanity and inappropriate mannerisms by the kitchen staff located on the other side of the wall. This establishment is a true disaster. AVOID! The local health department should be notified of the tragedy that is Cheddars of Findlay. We proceeded to drive 47 miles to an establishment that provided excellent service, refined dining, respect and perfectly prepared dishes. read more
