Went to the 121 location at 183 near DFW airport where dad and met regularly for Thursday lunch, half hour drive each of us from opposite directions. It has been nice menu and the sweet bread on the table as we sat down was a good touch. All personnel were nice and pleasant environment not too off on temperature, and low level music so we could talk and be heard. 0 stars since yes as the question asked, we went there, but it had a permanently closed sign on the door. Lots of restaurants within a couple miles, several are closed lunchtime. Don't want to try for a cheddars anywhere and find it also closed. The online directions and yelp and other have now changed to permanently closed on the listing, but don't recall seeing that at time ahead when we made the choice to meet at that location. first of all, I just wanna say that I've been to a lot of different cheddars this one has to be the best, not for the food, but for the service, MATTHEW, did an amazing job ensuring that my whole table did not go one minute without water, or tea, he also accommodated to the fact that I personally drink water so fast so he gave me two glasses. Me and my friends loved the service and the way he seemed like he genuinely cared about our experience at cheddars! This review is not a reflection of Josh our server or the manager on duty 05/09/23 evening shift. We had a party of 15 and only Josh as our server. I feel he did the best he could. The manager should have assigned another person but I don't know their staffing issues. My review is based on the food. My entire party was served before we were. We waited at least 15 minutes before our food came. My food was luke warm at best. My aunt sent her food back for the same reasons. Waiting to get served cold food is a major disappointment. I wanted to love Cheddars, because it used to be so good. We didn't run to this one right after it opened because we wanted them to get the kinks out. The service was not great- our server was nice but not very good and extremely slow. The food was the biggest disappointment. We had a burger, the monte cristo, tenders and the kids pasta. All of it tasted like it had been sitting for hours. It didn't taste fresh- or good whatsoever. We did order an appetizer that was ok... We sadly spent nearly $70 for a pretty terrible meal. It was the first time going to a cheddar's. Overall good experience minus one hiccup. First off the host was very welcoming and friendly. Our sever was Zoe she was great all around. Attentive and knowledgeable. Gave us insight and suggestions on the menu it being our first time there. For the most part the food was good. The only misstep was my wife's Chicken fried steak which was chewy and not great at all. If it wasn't for the fact that she was starving she prob would have said something about the food not being up to par. We made a reservation here a day prior called the night before and morning of to make sure they would still be able to accommodate us, however come time to our 5:00 reservation we were told they didn't have a table for us. We waited over an hour as they continued to sit other parties, and even sat a large party that came in after us at a table we should've been sat at. It seems to me the hostesses here don't have proper training and the manager was not doing his best to help find a solution. After two visits I decided to make an effort to review. My first visit the service was good, but the steak was less than mediocre. My second visit, I didn't get the soup I ordered, I didn't get the dipping sauce for my chicken tenders, the ribs were fall off the bone, but like leather under the BBQ sauce. I couldn't find the server to ask for some service, I assumed he must have been in the service area where the servers congregate with the manager, as they did during my first visit. my wife and I went here it was not busy when we got there, but we both had to have our steaks returned and cooked to the medium rare, my wife's was over cooked drastically and mine was also overcook but not as much as hers. She often just have a refund I had my meal replaced, and they replaced my meal and it was absolutely fine at that point. The desert was spot on and was excellent, the service was slow, and we had to wait quite a bit in between waiter sittings. The management took care of a lot of stuff and was apologetic very nice atmosphere great tasting food when it is cooked correctly, according to the way you want it cooked. Maybe this was an off day I don't know but the management again was very attentive and took care of everything, I only give it to stars because of all the issues that it was producing, management should not have to step in and take care of problems like that, They also do you have a military discount. read more

We had to ask for salt, pepper, and more gravy three times to three different servers and our main server seemed put out when we asked her. Unfortunately more of the same, service isn't what it used to be and the food is typically bad. Have been to the Burleson location twice to give them the benefit of the doubt but bad both times.
