The food is good and their prices are extremely reasonable. They still bring out the croissants with honey butter for free which is nice. I haven't been here in a year or more and I was surprised at how low their prices are compared to other similar restaurants. Everyone has raised their prices so much. It's a solid choice to take the family out to dinner but if you are a foodie like me you will probably be disappointed. It's very basic and the cook doesn't pay attention to detail.

Food was really good. Service was good. Came to visit some friends of mine and came to eat at Cheddar for my friends bday. Ambiance was good.

Cheddars is usually a hit or miss for me because I've probably gone over 50 times since I was a kid. Sometimes there service isn't great but also sometimes it's really good. You really don't know what you will get because there have also been times where the croissants are burnt and cold. But usually the food is good and it's very comfortable and clean inside.

Cheddars is a restaurant that serves good food at a good price. We were immediately greeted when we walked in. Seated right away and within a couple minutes we're being asked for our drink order. Our server was delightful, smiling and actually seemed happy to be waiting on us. I ordered my usual Cornmeal White Fish and substituted the fries and coleslaw for the Red Beans & Rice and Green Beans. My dinner came out with FIVE fish fillets. Wow! More than enough for me but I love to take the leftovers home because they reheat very well. She ordered the Bourbon Glazed Grilled Salmon with a Baked Potato and the Broccoli. The menu doesn't show it but you can get the dinner or lunch size serving. She sometimes forgets that so it was nice that our server asked which size she wanted. The lunch size is perfect for her. Her baked potato came with butter and sour cream but also some shreds of cheese on top. Our granddaughter got the Lemon Pepper Grilled Chicken with Double Fries for her sides. This entree comes with two large pieces of chicken breast grillled to perfection and seasoned with a lemon pepper seasoning. She has ordered this the last couple of times and it seems to be on its way to becoming her favorite. I need to add that we were served three croissants with a honey butter while we waited a short time for our food. And we all received a second drink before we were half done with our first one. I honestly like Cheddars. They offer a variety of food options so family members will have lots to choose from. If you can feed three people for $50 you are doing well especially considering we took enough home for another meal or two. I highly recommend you give Cheddars a try, you won't be disappointed.

Possibly one of my favorite restaurants in Lexington. Between the consistency and the customer service there is not much better.

It's pretty good bar food, but the quality has gone down since Covid. Like a slightly upscale Applebee's.

Always on the lookout for Cheddars when traveling. Best chicken tenders & croissants to be had.

I ordered the burger without the bun or fries, and it was so overly salty that I struggled to finish it. My wife had the CACIO de PEPE, which tasted quite different from what we're used to, and the pasta was overcooked for our liking. My brother-in-law ordered the fish tacos, which were easily the standout dish at the table. My sister's chicken cesar salad was decent but nothing particularly memorable. The restaurant itself feels a bit unexpected for a rural setting, which may help explain its strong ratings. For me, though, it's not a place I'd go out of my way to visit again--more of a "fine if someone else suggests it" kind of spot.

The atmosphere is super cozy and we felt welcomed from our first steps in. We were warmly greeted by the hostess and we met Michaela who took fabulous care of us for the evening! We settled in to a couple of their specialty cocktails (midwinters night dream and cardamaro manhattans - yummy I'll say) and the Brussel Sprout starter. Let me say to come hungry because the portions are large but yummy. The sprouts are a meal all by themselves! But there's more! I had the porcini rubbed filet and Teresa had the cabbage confit. Both portions were sizable and while I know she loved her cabbage, I was in heaven with a perfectly prepared filet that just melted in my mouth. Plus the asparagus spears and the Okinawa sweet potato mash were perfect accompaniment! Sadly, there was so much goodness we ended up bringing some home and we'll have to come back for dessert and another menu sampling. All in all a very memorable experience and a great place for a birthday dinner! But we'll be back just because! Special closing shout out to Michaela for taking such great care of us.

Our AG (After Golf) trio decided to dine at this location for our monthly get together, and was treated to a very wonderful evening as we not only learned about Gus' classic rock leanings (Led Zeppelin rules for this guy), we became familiar with two managers working the establishment. The food? Awesome, with portions one shouldn't be entitled. I had the Yogi Chicken Salad. A plate of heaping heaven. One of my buds had a fish sandwich which looked as if it was trying to escape from all directions - more fish than bun! We arrived just as the crowd began to pour in. But as the tables filled the place became even more festive! Thanks to Gus and team we will probably return quicker than per our normal rotation.

Let me start by saying that the service is, and has always been, fantastic. Friendly, attentive, and thoughtful. Unforntutely, the food has changed. Bland, bland, bland. It is like the land that seasoning forgot. Fully appreciate limiting salt but that does not mean that we have to eliminate depth of flavor across the board. The breading was completely void of any flavor and every veggie side was just plain boring. There is just only so much you can do at the table with salt, pepper, and hot sauce. Sad to lose this go-to option.

This visit marked our third time at OBC Kitchen, and once again, it did not disappoint. This time we experimented with timing and booked an early reservation at 2:45 pm on a Saturday. We crossed over into the dinner menu and discovered something wonderful: the service and ambiance were even better than the busier evening hours after 6 pm. The staff was exceptionally attentive. Every dish and cocktail option was explained thoughtfully, which I appreciate, especially because I enjoy cocktails that come with a bit of theater. When drinks are presented with care, described well, and executed beautifully, the experience becomes part performance, part craft. Here, they delivered perfectly. The food, as always, was superb. We shared several chef selections including Beef Tallow Fries, Southern Grouper, Bacon in a Glass, and the Cola-Braised Short Ribs. Each dish was rich, flavorful, and confidently executed. Dessert continued the celebration with the Churro Cheesecake, and to our delight we were also gifted the Warm Buttermilk Donuts, which felt like a small act of culinary generosity. In a departure from my usual Manhattan and Old Fashioned flights, I tried a Bloody Mary and The Cure, both excellent and beautifully balanced. At this point I can confidently say OBC Kitchen is one of my favorite restaurants in the country. The consistency, creativity, and hospitality make every visit memorable. A special thank you to the team who took care of us on Saturday, March 7th, 2026. You elevated an already wonderful experience and made it even better than usual.
