I go to Cheddars a lot and I normally am ok with the service. One day I was out with my family of three and spoke to a manager, she was blonde, about my undercook steak she took care of the matter as I asked but after I left I find her smoking a cigarette stick on the side of the store which I find very unprofessional coming from a former manager in the service industry. I did adore Cheddars and still like it. They had a great menu but started to delete some items we really liked. Salmon and the coconut shrimp are my favorite. Potato soup is also one of my favorites. I still enjoy eating there and hope they keep good items available. read more

So me and my friends went here for lunch and one of my friends got the alfredo w/ the garlic bread. She said the garlic bread had a tiny hair on it, the alfredo had zero flavor to it, and the cheese was all clumped up. The rest of the food was good. Waitress was nice. read more

We had an awful experience at Cheddar's Kitchen in London, Kentucky almost a week ago. We were told someone would reach out to us but no one bothered. So here's what happened ... Monday evening (3/21) our drinks were being delivered and our server had an accident. A glass of tea slipped from her hand and shattered, spraying liquid and broken glass. My wife @sassymc919 had small cuts on her hand and foot, was soaking wet--along with her leather handbag. Accidents happen--my wife and I have both worked in restaurants and bars so we understand--but it's how things are handled afterward that makes the difference between good and poor customer service. The manager (Ral) apologized and moved us to a nearby table that hadn't been properly cleaned. And we noticed that directly across from us two gentlemen were being seated a table with little bits of food and a crumpled napkin never cleaned up on the floor beneath. They also switched us to a new server ... who promptly told us it was his first day and he didn't really know anything about the menu. The food was fine, but my wife was upset (and bleeding) so she didn't even want to eat. The manager covered one of our entries on a ticket that was less than $60 total, and took my wife's contact information and told us that "corporate" would be contacting us soon. No calls or emails from corporate in the past week. Just the bad collective taste in our mouths from the terrible experience we had at Cheddar's -- making it a cold day in hell that we'd choose to spend our money there again. read more

1st time eating at Cheddar's. It is a restaurant chain that serves lots of foods for a low price. Service was excellent but I was impressed with the food. I ordered the 8oz center cut steak along with 2 side order of Broccoli casserole and sweet corn. Steak was excellent but I walked away so impressed with the broccoli casserole this side order alone will bring me back next time I'm back in town. This is probably one of the better places you will eat in london. That's only because there isn't much to choose from. The service has been sub par every time I've gone. I'm from out west and the honey croissants were always free there but be careful because they charge for those bad boys here. Oh and not to mention that my first visit was met with a bomb threat. The name mislead me as I was thinking it going to be like a Cracker Barrel type place, you know having breakfast and all but for a major chain they have a very limited menu- I was shocked! I can understand being fast casual but I believe there's nothing here that is "scratch" made as they claim. Most things come from the freezer and into the deep fryer. I ordered the chicken tenders plate and the Wisconsin cheese curds the fries were cold yet the tenders were warm at best, why? This is why I never take personal recommendations from others. Restaurants have succumbed to the fast and lazy way food prep! I'll think twice before I drive all the to London ky to eat again, although there are a few other choices there. read more

We have stopped here to eat almost every time we pass through the area traveling between Michigan and anywhere south along I-75. We have eaten at a few different Cheddar's restaurants and always had a great meal. My wife always orders the same thing: Salmon with Bourbon Maple Glaze, seared outside and rare inside and it is always done perfectly. I tend to explore the menu and this time I had Blackened Catfish that was also done just right. This time we also ordered the Onion Rings tower just because and they were very tasty. We like to eat at Cheddar's because they serve great food made from scratch, decent portions, reasonable prices, and friendly staff. What more could you want? Went here for my spouses birthday. We arrived at 9:15 pm and they said they close at 10:30. The place was empty and we ask to sit at the bar. Host said no server at bar so we would sit at a table across for bar. Made no sense. Ordered drinks and the server was excellent. Food came out fast and furious. Everything was moving along. So 10:15 rolls around we are finishing up and I ask for a dessert for my birthday guest. They have shut the kitchen down. No cooks and no more food will be served. Then the employees start gathering at the door. People are in the kitchen yelling about going home. Then. Everyone at the door turns and stares at us. Yes. We hurriedly gathered our box and made our way to the exit. The looks could kill. Thus the reason for 3 stars. The manager didn't thank us or smile. Terrible ending to a great meal. read more

We had the chicken fried chicken with sides. I even had dessert and the waiter went out of his way to get what I wanted. Impressive for it being so close to closing. This is something I would normally never do but the experience I have had today at cheddars scratch kitchen of London Ky was just unbelievable. My family took me out to eat there today for my birthday. A little after we were seated the waitress came and took our drink order which took a while longer than normally to bring back which was fine, no big deal there. After she brought our drinks we were ready to order, so she started taking our food orders. There were 10 adults and 2 children in our party. She took about half the orders and started coughing, so she walked away continued to cough and then walked out of sight. We just hoped she was ok and we didn't really know what had happened. 20 minutes later, a different waitress came over and said our waitress was having some trouble with her lungs and she would take the rest of our orders, so she took those. Later, she came back and said the other waitress we had at first had to go home and she would be taking over our table now along with the others she already had which were on the other side of the restaurant. Mind you, we were a 12 people party so not a small table. So we said ok and continued to wait on our food. We waited at least an hour and half if not longer just to receive an appetizer, which was cold when it arrived. During this time we never had anyone come check on us or refill drinks. After we got the appetizers it was probably another 45 min we got our food. Mine was brought out with no sides at all. We had still never received our salads at this point, so we tell them. The waitress we now had was doing her best, but I think she had just been given too much to serve for at this point, and they had problems where the other waitress had taken some of our orders with locating that ticket they said. Eventually they bring my side and some other things that others needed and brought the salads. As we started to eat the salads there was ice cubes in the salads. Which the waiter who had brought these out to us told us it had taken longer for him to get them because someone put ice in the salad? He said he had to pick around that to prepare our salads to bring out. The other food was ok..nothing great. It wasn't bad, just mediocre and some was cold. But I know it wasn't the waitress or waiters fault. Our waitress let us know that she was going to talk to the manager about our service and meal because she knew it had all just been a mess which wasn't our fault or hers. At this point I didn't even want to eat any more just from the aggravation of the whole thing. So once we were ready to go, and she brings our check they had not even given us 1 cent off. Anyone who knows us, knows we don't care to pay for food so the money wasn't the issue. It was just the fact of what all had happened. Keep in mind, while going through all this I have 2 children asking every 5 seconds where their food was and just being restless. So that definitely doesn't help with the stress level. Anyways my husband asked the waitress if she had spoken with the manager, and she just said she would go talk with her. she comes back and says the managers has agreed to take off $20! Which we found pretty insulting on a $200 check. We never once seen or spoke with the manger ourselves. I would think if you were managing a business you would at the least come and speak with customers about the situation they had just endured as the manager of that business. If you knew your waitress was in the position she was in you would have been out there helping her if you were any type of servant manager. But I just tell all this to say that what my family and I experienced there today (2+ hours) was unacceptable. If that makes me a Karen then so be it. But I will never be going there again with that type of management running things. If you go there or take your family I just hope your experience is better than ours. read more

Just came from here. Service was horrible, took forever to get in snd then forever to get food. Half the restaurant was empty and almost every empty table had not been cleared. Waited 4-5 minutes, hubby got up and for us menus and utensils. Went to CB with the family we haven't seen in a very long time and was highly disappointed at their limited menu the night before Thanksgiving so we left and took the family to Cheddars. We all wanted some delicious home type cooked food and we were not disappointed. The rolls were hot and the butter was delicious! Then the food came and my oh my we were wowed by the delicious flavor. The chicken fried chicken was the best I ever had! The green beans have delicious flavor and the potatoes and gravy were just like home. The ribs were fall off the bone delicious!!! You will not be disappointed if you go here. Just take a hard pass on the nearby CB restaurant. Cheddars taste better anyway. Much better flavor. So glad we decided to give it a try. Ribs Staff was super nice!! Atmosphere was perfect!!!! The ambience is very nice; stone walls, huge fish tank, greenery, and large fans give off a more upscale vibe than I was expecting. Service was very nice and polite but slightly off. Food was good and cooked well, but a little generic and lacking in flavor in my opinion. Also, I almost had to laugh out loud at the "loaded" baked potato; I guess I just expected more than a small dollop of sour cream and a tiny bit of cheese. Our server, Christina, was excellent. She kept our beverages filled and was very courteous. I ordered the lunch combo: Caesar salad and quesadilla. It also came with potato chips. My brother ordered the meatloaf with mashed potatoes and cole slaw. My nephew ordered the ribs with mac and cheese and mashed potatoes. Everything tasted delicious and served promptly. The restaurant was clean. We stayed a really long time visiting. The restaurant staff was not bothered by this. I highly recommend this specific Cheddar's. read more

Stopped here while we were on the way back from Gatlinburg and this is the BEST Cheddar's I have eaten at in a Long Time! As soon as we set down the server was there. We placed our order, mine was the Salmon and my wife got the fried fish. Our drinks and food came out fast and my salmon was cooked to perfection! I usually go to the Cheddars in Lexington but I was in London so decided to stop here and eat. I'll first start this off by saying our waiter was nice but he didn't have his mask pulled up over his mouth, it was under his chin. He coughed into his arm then reached across the table with the same arm. Next, Our food was pretty gross. I ordered the New Orleans Pasta (I always get this) and my shrimp was like rubber and cold. The pasta was actually hot though. My mother ordered the Buffalo Chicken Wraps (which is another usual for me) but hers were none like I have ever received before. They were soggy with pickle juice and way over done with the Buffalo sauce plus the fries were cold. I ordered my son a grilled cheese kids meal, his grilled cheese was hard as a rock and was supposed to get mashed potatoes but received French fries instead. Just all in all, was not a good experience. Every other waiter/waitress had masks on. The manager made things right though but just had to warn about the food and mask issue. read more

First time eating at a Cheddar's. Our server was fast and friendly. The onion rings are outstanding. The salad and crossaint was really good. The ribs fell off the bone but were a bit dry. The chicken fingers were fine but not my favorite thing. My daughter loved the potato soup. The steak my wife got was okay. Would definitely come back another day.
