Went here recently my daughter had a hockey tournament in nearby Wesley Chapel. We have one of these Cheddars back in Illinois which I don't live near anymore, and don't make often. I have fond memories of getting a burger with french fries onions on top which in Illinois they call (Onion) straws. Unfortunately, they don't have that on the menu here. Was disappointed because it provided happy memories. Anyway I found some other fun things as I enjoyed the Key West chicken and shrimp. Side of broccoli, and a side of red beans plus rice . Awesome! I loved it. Spouse had that bourbon salmon and shrimp. She was quite happy with that and the daughter had lemon pepper chicken. I must say they're extremely reasonably priced! So, we ate full dinners with sides and the actual total was under $60 which was shocking! Service was good, but it was quite busy as we were there on a Saturday afternoon. Which means very very busy, and probably date night but we toughed it out. And we had a party of 7 . They said the wait was 10 minutes , it was more like 30 but it was very worth it. This was our second time we have been here. The last time was a bit of a while ago The food kind of reminds us of Cracker Barrel. We had a gift card, & came from the Outlet Mall so it was a perfect time to try it out again. Since it was late, we wanted to pick something healthier. Our first impression was seeing a lot of fried items on the menu, so it was hard to decide. We finally decided about the chicken pot pie for me. It comes with a house salad which is what I wanted.my husband ordered the Dijon chicken with mushrooms. He changed the sauce to honey mustard instead. First came the glazed Croissant. Oh my! That was so good. I'd be back for just a croissant and a house salad with honey lime dressing and be happy. That salad dressing also stole the show which made me not want to stop eating my salad. I must say, for some reason, I didn't like the cheese. Like there was a weird after taste, so I just pushed that to the side. My chicken pot pie was good. I ate some and took it home for leftovers. The crust was tasty too. This made me miss Boston Market honestly. I loved their chicken pot pie. This was a good rendition. My husband had his chicken with mushrooms, carrots and rice. Catching up on reviews and Cheddars happens to be on my list. Now our server was on top of her game all night with the tables she had. Back and forth and made sure everyone was well taking care of. The inside was pretty quiet and we made sure to order quickly because of the fact that we got there an hour before they closed. I kind of doubted that the food was going to be good because I figured everyone was tired ready to go home but to my surprise it turned out fantastic. We always wanted to try Cheddar's for lunch and we finally did today (21 February) The place is very clean, well lit and comfortable. I wish they had more TV's around. We ordered the queso fries, chicken wrap, fried shrimp and monte crisco. Nice portion sizes and reasonably priced. Service was exceptional. Jordan is amazing, kind and very sweet. This is about our third time coming to Cheddar's and that says something haha Very friendly staff and comfortable feeling when you walk in. Homey. Our waitress Kayleigh was great, friendly and great nails also haha One of our napkins was a bit nasty but she took care of that right away. Great vibes with her. The Honey croissants are always great. First off the mango tea was DELICIOUS!Mind blowing good, some places teas are just too much or too little even and that mango tea was PERFECT! Onto the food lol We got the spinach dip as an appetizer and the chips were a bit salty but don't think y'all can help that much. I got the country fried steak with Corn and mashed potatoes. The steak DEFINETLY shrunk naturally so there ended up being more crispy breading than meat. Not bad at all though, corn was sweet and can never go wrong with mashed potatoes. I'll try the pot pie next time. My mother got fish and shrimp and brother got chicken. All crispy fried goodness. You guys are great! Very friendly staff, but sometimes slow to refill your drinks...that doesn't disqualify Cheddar's completely, but they could really up their game by encouraging their team to take better care of their guests. Can't resist stopping by and grabbing the spinach dip with extra chips when in the area. Cheddar's is a chain restaurant that offers comfort home food but with a twist. Whether dine in or cutbside pickup, service is always pleasurable and prompt from the time my order is taken to the time food is served or delivered to the car. Each meal is served with a honey butter croissant which is finger licking good. The spinach dip, although considered an appetizer and shareable, I opted to have it for dinner which always prove to be more than filling. The order was paid once online and when picked up it was paid again w cash with tip for a total of $44. and change. The incident was reported to management and nothing was done. I've visited numerous Cheddar locations in Florida and Texas and have loved the consistency, flavors and service that I have received. The restaurant in Lutz, FL near the Tampa Outlets has to be one of the best I have eaten at. The atmosphere is clean, modern and not too bright (sometimes there are places that have too much light and you see way too much). Our Server, Kayleigh, was pleasant, polite and helpful. She greeted us, took our order (she even tried to get us to order the croissants but we weren't that hungry!) and got our drinks right away. We didn't wait longer than 10 minutes than our food arrived. My wife ordered the sirloin steak, well done. I ordered a limited item, pork chops. We got corn, carrots, rice and mashed potatoes as our sides. They had not made any brown gravy yet so I didn't have any for my mash. No big deal as everything was delicious! We both finished it quickly. It was a good meal. I was able to pay at the table using their point-of-sale device. That was quick! There was no service charge added to my bill as well. Our total bill for two people was under $45. as I left a 20% tip. Overall , visit this Cheddar's location in Lutz, FL! You won't be disappointed. read more

If it's a Friday night during the holiday season, use the app to wait in line. We only waited for less than 15 minutes even though it was extremely busy. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive. The complimentary honey butter rolls are to die for. But beware! Don't fill up on those. Not seen here, but we ordered the spinach cheese dip with chips as our appetizer. Today was a very rough day! To start with they were yet another establishment that was hit with very little wait staff. While the wait wasn't horrible it was still around 20 minutes while probably half of the tables sat empty. Once we were finally seated it took another 10 minutes to get our drinks, 10 minutes to get our chips and queso. Once the chips arrived it was no more than a handful of chips. It took almost 45 minutes to get the main part of the meal. My food was okay but neither wife or daughter like nor ate theirs. The fish was super mushy and tenders were like jerky. This is the second time I've been to Cheddar's. Both were excellent experienced. Today I had grilled salmon over rice with a baked potato and steamed carrots. Everything was cooked to perfection. So our food was okay...my wife is severely allergic to shellfish and almost ordered the tenders but last minute changed to the Lemon pepper chicken (which mind you was dry and tasted just like grilled chicken) I ordered the tenders. In the tenders they mixed the fried shrimp with the tenders so she would have absolutely died here if she ordered the tenders after all. Then the food runner also forgot my granddaughters food and left it sitting at the front. I came here for dinner with my mom. I was really excited to try this restaurant. The restaurant is very nice inside. The host sat us right away. Our server was wonderful. She checked on us and brought us everything we needed. Complimentary crossaints with honey butter come to the table to start. These are amazing. They have them as an appetizer if you want to order more. For my meal, I got a half rack of ribs with chicken tenders with a side of Buffalo sauce. This was the best Buffalo sauce I've had. We ordered take out this last visit & we went a few weeks prior. So I can attest to in restaurant service- which was pretty spectacular & to curbside pick-up, which didn't wow me. I love their chicken pot pie- so much I consistently burn my mouth attempting to dig in before letting it cool & the chicken fried chicken is delish! Connor usually goes for the Monte Cristo, but has been known to change it up. I never know with my daughter- but she is a chicken lover. John opted for the lemon pepper grilled chicken. In restaurant- everything ran smoothly- and btw, I am addicted to their painkiller cocktail!!! Ordering online- painfully slow and I accidentally added a lemonade to my daughter's meal and couldn't figure out how to remove it. Curbside- they text you when your order is ready. NOT. They text you that your order is ready when it was supposed to be ready- but it actually wasn't ready for an additional 20 minutes. We were shopping across the street when I got the text- so we hurried over and "checked in" only to wait about 5 minutes when the manager (I think) comes out empty handed to address the 3 cars waiting for pick up. The car ahead of me and our order came out about 15 minutes later- he said the croissants weren't ready. This visit was probably a 3 star visit because of the wait. My hubby and I decided to eat lunch after leaving the outlet mall. Rich, our server was very nice, polite, and friendly. He made sure he checked on us from time to time. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming. The food was delicious. The fish was blackened and had a nice crust around the edges. It was flaky and tasty. The green beans and carrots had some firmness, which I liked. The food is reasonably priced. I do wish they had a lunch menu and more items to select from for appetizers. The only saving grace here was the friendly staff, and the large margarita. Ordered the salmon dish at the recommendation of my waitress, when it arrived you could instantly tell the shrimp and salmon were way over cooked. Having to cut with a knife overcooked. The potato was cold by the time it arrived with the excessive amount of sour cream and ice cold shredded cheese on it, and the four lousy shrimp were a joke with how rubbery they were. My wife has the bourbon salmon and loved it. I on the other hand saw they had a 7 ounce filet that was on sale for $22. Big mistake I asked my server if it was a filet mignon and he said yes. Trust me it was not a filet mignon it was grisly and tough even though I got it medium rare. I will have the chicken pot pie if I ever go back. read more

we had an awful experience tonight at Cheddars. majority of our food was cold. we ordered queso fries. they came out cold. i ordered soup and it was cold. the croissants were hard and cold. I asked to speak to manager and he admitted the soup was cold and said if they replaced it would be cold as well. they offered no discount for the inconvenience. the waitress was fair but had to ask for drink refills multiple times. it also took a long time to get our food. 40.00 for cold food! very disappointing! read more
