We've wanted to come to Keke's and we finally got the chance! From all the cars in the parking lot we were afraid they would be crowded. Fortunately for us the cars parked weren't at Keke's haha So you walk in and it is spacious and just a comforting feeling. When seated we were sat at a booth that was set for 8 lol Little surprising but ANYHOW our waitress Kat was SO sweet and just omg gave the vibe that- of an amazing bestie honestly haha So I got the combo, a coffee and OMG how could I forgot the hot chocolate. Again OMG look at this hot cocoa guys she deserves an AWARD!! The pancakes OMG soft as PILLOWS and usually pancakes/waffles/french toast that is kind of candied or sweetened with caramel and such is like diabetes overwhelming but these were PERFECT! So I wanted a late lunch today and was headed to Waffle House, minding my business. My daughter says, "Let's go to this place called Keke's." I've never been, but she's been several times. Oh. My. God. From the moment I walked in, everything was spotless, the service was on point. Our server Layla was amazing from start to finish. Professional, friendly, and clearly knows how to treat people right. Now, the food... listen, the portion sizes here are not for the weak. I couldn't even finish half my breakfast. If you ever go, do not order two pancakes unless you plan to feed a small village. One pancake could double as a weighted blanket. I only ate half my pancake and barely touched my potatoes. No complaints at all well, okay, two tiny ones: I wish they had hot maple syrup and toilet seat covers in the bathroom. Other than that, I'm a fan. Same with the food. Thank you Layla! Mostly what is called diner-style food. Servered fast and friendly. Fruit is always fresh and colorful. Like the servers. Lol. (Just kidding. They are friendly and knowledgeable. Never had a bad moment or miscommunication. That's the truth.) Omleat here was a 3 egg western. Fresh yellow eggs. Fluffy and creamy. With plenty of cheese. And fresh crunchy peppers and onions. Spread well through the omleat. Grits were classic with some butter. And classic diner grits. Filling tasty and smooth. Second was chicken and waffles. I buttered and maple syrup-ed my waffle. Kekes waffles are light and fluffy. Perfect ethereal-firm and absorbent. For the maple flavor ocean. Sauce for the chicken works great with the rest of the food. I pour it on. Lol Look out when I'm all coffeed up! The tables and seats are reliability clean at Kekes. It's well lit and family friendly. I generally really like the music that is played when I've been in for meal. Bathrooms have also been very clean and well stocked. This wasn't my first time dining at this establishment, and I had enjoyed my previous experiences there. However, something happened this time that didn't sit well with me. As the hostess walked to our table, she braided her hair while carrying menus and silverware. I worked as a server for over five years, and touching your hair while working at a restaurant is a big "NO." Many people might not be bothered by this, but it does rub me the wrong way. Apart from the host, I found my experience enjoyable and comfortable. The food is always hot and fresh. This was my first time trying the French toast, and it did not disappoint. It was sweet, fluffy, and covered in fresh fruit. I always order a side of home fries because I love potatoes. Haven't been here in more than a year. The new manager (Ray) definitely improved the place. The service was excellent, Oscar was very attentive. My husband had the eggs Benedict and it was really good. I had the western omelette and they really loaded it. The potatoes were flavorful but soft so if you like crispy potatoes you won't like these. My son and the chicken and waffles. The chicken is more like tenders but were juicy and tasty. The waffles were good but I like mine a bit more firm these wee floppy as my son said. Place is busy so be prepared for a bit of wait. I rarely write negative reviews, but this experience needs to be shared because it reflects a serious decline in food quality. Yesterday I picked up breakfast from Keke's Breakfast Cafe, and the meal was extremely disappointing. I ordered French toast with egg whites and turkey links. The egg whites were partially burned and loaded with grease so much that the dominant taste was grease rather than eggs. The French toast was another letdown. Instead of being soft and moist, it was dry and hard, basically like plain toasted bread with cinnamon sprinkled on top. It honestly felt like something I could have made at home by simply toasting bread and adding cinnamon. The turkey links also appeared to have been microwaved rather than cooked properly. There was no browning at all something you would normally see if they had been cooked on a grill or in a pan. After just a few bites, most of the meal ended up in the trash. That should never happen with a simple breakfast order. Unfortunately, this isn't the first time this has happened. I have experienced similar issues a few times over the past month, which is why I feel it's important to finally say something. What made this even more concerning was that the restaurant was packed with customers waiting to be seated. From the outside it may look like a sign of success, but it felt like the main goal was simply to move waiting customers through the doors as quickly as possible and maximize revenue. When the focus becomes pushing volume and making the most money rather than maintaining food quality and customer satisfaction, the dining experience suffers. This is exactly how restaurants begin to lose loyal customers. When food quality starts to decline, it often leads to fewer returning guests, and eventually some restaurants face the same outcome we've all seen before customers stop coming and the doors end up closing like TGI Fridays. Unfortunately, based on these repeated experiences, I will not be returning. read more

If you're hungry and want a champ breakfast I highly recommend you come here! There was a wait time of about 20 minutes when we arrived. The staff told my name and number and send me a text message when they had a table available. Customer service was great. Super friendly staff. The ambiance felt like it would at a breakfast place. They also have a lunch menu too. We ended up ordering a breakfast wrap, stuffed blueberry French toast and omelette with steak. The omelette was massive. It consisted of cheese, 3 eggs, steak, green pepper, and onion. It came with 2 slices of what I believe was whole wheat toast and oval cut red potatoes. Just that portion alone is enough to feed 2 people. I ordered the breakfast wrap. With cheddar cheese, sausage, 2 eggs, onions, mushrooms and onions. The wrap was also great but it wasn't as massive as the omelette. For the dessert portion we got the blueberry French toast. The blueberry stuffed French toast was really good. I was about to be seated before my husband arrived from parking the car, but was told that it is corporate policy that they do not seat incomplete parties when there is a wait. My husband was in the parking lot. I'm not happy about that policy. Our server was very nice and brought out our drinks very quickly. I chose to pay $2 extra for real maple syrup, instead of regular maple syrup possibly with high fructose corn syrup. The ambiance was clean and well taken care of. Rounding up a bit perhaps, but the food, value and especially the service from our waitress (I wish I remember her name) are a solid 4.5 stars. We were five people who hadn't seen each other in a while, so we probably overstayed our welcome, but our waitress never seemed bothered. She was especially helpful to me when I ordered the stack (3) of Florida pancakes and she let me know I probably only needed two because it was a big portion. She was absolutely right and I appreciate her not trying to oversell me haha But the food and value are amazing. I loved the pancakes and everyone else loved their meal as well (a mix of breakfasts and lunches). I guess this is a chain, and I'll definitely look for one closer to where my mom lives since we drove over an hour to get here. But especially for a chain, this was an amazing meal. I was visiting my mom for a couple of weeks in Zephyrhills and chose this place as a meet up before work with one of my old friends. bonus this place opens at 7 AM which is great for early morning breakfast before work. The service was really great here. It was really really clean and the menu was decent. I like to that there are worse some variation on classic breakfast with a few unique items too I'm a pretty traditional breakfast person, leaning more on the savory side, but it was so nice to have a mini side of pancakes so I could have a little something sweet, which I didn't even know existed but when I told our waitress, she suggested it and it really hit the spot. This was my first time eating at a Kekes and likely my last. At least for a while. The 2 stars are for service only as our server and the manager were absolutely great and so helpful. But the food was bleh. I got the French toast combo with 2 eggs, bacon, and home fries. Weirdly it was all served cold. I sent it back, got new, and it was also cold. I have no idea how this happens, but it did. The food was flavorless and the potatoes were soggy not crisp. I tasted my family's food, which was also cold. The manager apologized and took my meal off the ticket, which I didn't ask for or expected but appreciated. The food is priced steep for the quality, so beware. If you want to go to a place with great service and that's all you're expecting, this is your place! Food is terrible though. read more

I have been to Keke's all over Florida, many that are much busier than this location (Kissimmee and Tallahassee) and they are much more efficient with much better service. They say a picture is worth a thousand words! For a Sunday around 1:30 pm. It wasn't busy and the dining area was semi-full, Surprisingly, I did not have to wait long to be seated. After I was seated, I'm greeted by Jazmine. I found her to be a very charming and affable waitress with a level of professionalism one seldom sees nowadays. She has a infectious smile, great demeanor and a strong work ethic that's second to none. Jazmine was very attentive and fast to refill my unsweetened iced tea and checked on me often to see if I needed anything else. Clearly whatever this establishment is paying her is not enough! She needs a raise. Now, let's talk about my meal. I ordered the tuna melt with Swiss cheese. I'm not a big fan of potato chips. So, Jasmine being ever so alert and said: "We also feature onion rings or french fries. Would you prefer them instead?" Enthusiastically, I said yes to the onion rings! My food arrived within 10 minutes which I found very impressive. As the remaining staff in the the dining was busy tending to their customers or cleaning the restaurant As you can see in the enclosed photos my meal was cooked to perfection and served hot. As the plate was placed on the table.... My olfactory nerves were seduced by the welcoming scent of freshly cooked deliciousness. Immediately, I knew I was in trouble as indecisiveness was running rampant. I glanced at my morsels of decadent delights. " Where do I begin I thought?" I already could sense my glucose levels beginning to rise. I'm a diabetic and the realization set in that I must choose wisely for my monthly cheat day. Finally, I decided with an onion ring. I remove my prize from the plate and set it on the napkins as I sip on my unsweetened ice tea. I'm feeling like I'm Gollum from Lord of the Rings. As those immortal words race through my mind. "My Precious! O my Precious!" I'm now salivating like a rabid dog as I raise this morsel to my mouth. It was absolute heaven. I tried to be gentle and eat slowly. The beast in me commanded I ravish and devour it as the Vikings pillaged and plundered Old England in days of old. My conquest is complete, and Valhalla is pleased and I succumb to a heightened sense of awareness and satisfaction. (Actually, my blood sugar is rising.) But it was well worth it. I can't make this up if I wanted to. First a simple order is not that sample. Order was meat lovers omelette with green peppers & onions, create your own vegetables omelette with spinach, onions & peppers w silver dollar pancakes. We both asked for no potatoes or toast. Well the meat lovers came out first with no onions or peppers. Then the veggie omelette had no veggies.... After 3 times being asked what did I order & the manager Lisa taking my order herself they got it right. I don't usually come to this location. They did pick up the tab. I ordered Eggs Benedict. It looked perfect when it arrived. When I cut into it, the eggs were cooked hard. I think the muffins were prepared well in advance of the eggs as the texture was tough. Of course, with dry eggs, there wasn't enough Hollandaise. The staff offered to replace them, but it would take too much time. A place specializing in breakfast should not be overcooking eggs. BTW, the heading says service could be improved. I can't alter it. The service is excellent. read more

Hubby and I picked our local Keke's to try for breakfast. It wasn't too long ago there were only a few spots for breakfast around here so I'm glad to see more making their way to the Chap. Our server was a nice young sir. He was attentive and had good conversation with us. When one of our meals came without sausage he was quick to correct it for us. Our food was so so. I ordered a scramble bowl and it had good flavor but I felt a small anount of produce was used to make it compared to similar meals at other places. I am a pescetarian so i rely on a good bit of veg when I order these meals so I get full and it just wasn't there. Also the temperature wasn't very warm by the time it hit the table. My husband ordered bananabut pancakes which were delicious, he shared bc they were huge! He had a side of sausage and scrambled eggs w cheese. He said the scrambled eggs had good flavor but we both agree they looked a little unappealing plated and were omelet style, not fluffy like we prefer. Also, don't miss the qr menu code, they have it hidden on the glass dividers. It's a sticker we completely overlooked! Will we be back? Probably.
