I know they were homemade but they were missing the flavor that usually comes with refried beans (black or pinto) My wife had the quiche which had onions, peppers, sausage, mushrooms and cheese. It was very good. Even the crust was good. She ordered the breakfast potatoes as the side. The flavor of the potatoes was excellent. Half of them were lightly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside which were great; the other half were overcooked and became potato chips - good flavor but not a breakfast potato. Their rotisserie chicken is tasty, juicy and well seasoned. Their sides are authentic and delicious. Mostly, I love that they have Peruvian staples such as chicha morada (a purple pineapple drink that is spiced with clove and cinnamon which gets it's distinct color from dried purple corn), and Maracuyá (passion fruit). The service was friendly and you can tell that they care about what they're making. The cook came out to greet us and to make sure we were enjoying the food. The ambiance was relaxed and cozy. I would have given Brasa 5 stars except for one tiny thing: they don't serve Picarones, a delicious and crispy dessert made with sweet potatoes and pumpkin that is traditionally Peruvian. I did ask about it and the cook said he will definitely add it to the menu in the coming weeks. When that day comes, you know I'll be first in line. We need more variety in the valley and Brasas is bringing it!
