Not sure what happened from East cheddar to West Cheddar. Used to love going on the east side but the west side service has gone down. Our waiter never once smiled. The hostess who seated us told us before we even sat down that our server might be awhile because they were down to 3 as they were getting ready to close. Our server was good. We ordered 2 dessert. The chocolate brownie cake was good. The painkiller rum cake was bad, the sponge cake had no flavor, the rum sauce tasted like something out of a can. As we were eating the cleaning was all around us, a server bumped into me because he had pulled the chairs out at the table next to us, for sweeping and didn't room to make between the chair and me. Been here many times, and here is what I have learn... if you don't want to wait for a table than go find an open seat at the bar. But than this is where you will have to wait... the service is slow mainly because they are busy mixing drinks for everyone in the establishment. Its light-ish. But when my order came out everything I ordered was there but the broccoli & cheese casserole. Instead it just plain broccoli. But my waitress was kind to replace it to what I originally ordered. My friend ordered the chicken fried chicken, since he doesn't care for white gravy he had requested that the gravy be put on the side and not on top. But the cooks put it on top anyways. Seeing that they were busy, we weren't going to send it back. Wished they had more options like brown gravy. The chicken was not thin but held its juicy big shape. Its a definite thumbs up! We also ordered the painkiller mini cake. By the time it came out we were full. But my sweet tooth wouldn't allow me to keep the spoon out of my mouth. So I tried a bite. Not bad. We had a group of 9 to celebrate 2 birthdays. Started off with a 45 minute wait at 4:45 pm. We thought we went early enough to beat the crowd. We went to the bar to wait and order a drink. We had 5 chairs at the bar. 15 minutes later Our beeper went off and i went to the host and they said it was an error. 2 beepers went off at the same time. We went back to the bar and 2 of our seats were taken. The manager then came in and sat us at 2 high tops in the bar. The kitchen was a little slow. I asked for no sour cream on my potato, and they put it on anyways. When I attempted to correct the mistake, I was told it would take 30 min to get me a new potato!!! How would it take that long? Are't you supposed to correct your mistakes before starting another order?? Ridiculous. Then, my salmon and rice had no flavor whatsoever. It was terrible, and I could have made a better meal myself. Overall I was highly dissatisfied with my experience at Cheddars. This was my first and last time ever going to Cheddars Scratch Kitchen. Five of us went there for lunch. We went at 1 pm and there was hardly anyone there. We were seated immediately but it took quite awhile to get our orders taken. The salads were delicious. It took forever to get our food and there was hardly anyone in the place. We had to ask several times for refills and it was awhile before they came. My steak was so salty it was inedible. I've never in my life sent back a steak but it was awful. When the second steak came it was red and way undercooked for medium. It also was very tough. We ordered a dessert and it never showed up. When we paid she got our cards all mixed up. It was a mess. It will be a long time before we ever go back. She was probably new but she needed a lot more training or at least someone keeping a close eye on her. read more

Over the past 2 months we have given 3 tries to this location & tonight was it for us. We were given a wait time of 15-20 minutes After about an hour we were finally seated Once seated we ordered - as we had already decided on our food while waiting. Seated at 6:37 got our drinks after about 40 minutes and got our food at 7:45. When our drinks came the waiter who I felt bad for because he was clearly new told me "try your drink.. the bartender thinks he might have messed up". Needless to say it was sent back & I received my drink finally after our food had alrived (over an hour after ordering). At this point & visiting the restaurant with 2x 3yr old boys we were already ready to go & asked for our check and Togo boxes almost as soon as our food arrived. Our meals came out missing sides & looked like it had just been sitting out for atleast half an hour. Aside from the 2 Pity points I based on the waiter & considering he was brand new, I wouldn't recommend this location to anyone. I ordered a pasta Alfredo and I could have easily gone to Fazoli's Fast food and ordered the same thing for a fraction of the price. This is extremely disappointing, considering I paid over $11 for one meal. No garlic bread, one piece of broccoli. When I went to attempt to resolve the situation, the manager stated "sorry-we are running low on broccoli and we are busy" and I totally get you are busy, but if you are serving sub-Par food at high end prices, then of course customers are going to get upset. It's not our fault you are running low on supplies- at least let the customer know and offer something else to compensate for the pitiful meal you give your customer. I ordered a kids chicken tender with fries and it was just as sad as the Alfredo meal. Oh well. Better luck at Fazoli's or making the food at home. read more

First and only time visit. Dirty floor in the dining area. Grilled chicken Alfredo was rubbery. Steamed vegetables over cooked to the point that they where mushy. Spinach dip was the most palatable if you could locate it under the massive layer of sour cream. The limited time Texas T-bone steak is a joke of a steak. Service was mediocre. I'm fairly certain now that the $100 gift card that was gifted to us to try this restaurant was a white elephant gift. $60 for the bill, $40 for the waiter so we have no reason to go back. read more

Food is below average and slapped together. My cheeseburger only had cheese on half of it and the bun was greasy so it was soggy. It also had a piece of burnt bacon stuck to the bun. When we ordered, I had asked for mustard which our waitress forgot when our meals finally arrived after 35 minutes. Asked again for mustard and waited another 10 minutes so I finally went and asked another server if she could get some for us. Our server did eventually bring it to our table. After we asked for our ticket, our server didn't return for my credit card for quite some time. The length of time spent in this establishment was way too long. The noise is terrible, service poor & food not impressive at all. This was the 3rd time here. 2 out of 3 times, service was lousy. Won't be back here. Ran to Cheddars today for lunch. We walked in just a few minutes after they opened, they didn't appear to be that busy when we walked in the restaurant. Our waiter was very polite and quickly brought out our appetizer, drinks, and took the order for our meal. We enjoyed the spinach dip and the croissants were yummy. Unfortunately after about an hour and a half we didn't have our food and no one had come to check on our drinks. I had to catch our waiter and asked him to bring out our food boxed to go. He apologized left , and then returned without boxes. He said that our food had been mistakenly taken to another table and that they were remaking our order. We let him know we were unwilling to wait and just wanted to pay our bill minus our entrees. He said this would be fine, then sent the manager over. She offer to have the kitchen whip something up quickly or get us a dessert. We had other things going on so that wasn't an option for us. We paid and left. read more

This was one of my worst experiences at any restaurant in a really long time. We have eaten at the east location and the had a good time and food was pretty good too. So, when one opened on the west side we were excited. 1. They seated us in the back close to the kitchen, even though the restaurant was almost empty. 2. Across from our table was a member of management sitting at a booth who was loud and obnoxious. Employees were constantly stopping by to talk and at times there were literally 6-7 people hanging around his booth, with everyone laughing and manager talking so loud it disrupted our meal. 3. The table was dirty. The floors were dirty. Kind of nasty for a restaurant that had only been open for a month or so. 4. Food seemed sub par and our expectations were kind of low to start with. A group of four of us went there on June 7, 2019 for my birthday. The waitress had a bad attitude. The service was horrible and my food actually was burnt and you could see the burnt pan scrapings at the bottom. Since it took so long to get a waitress, I didn't say anything. However, I left a review at the place they ask to leave reviews online at the bottom of the receipt. The manager called, was apologetic, and said he would get a gift certificate out to me. Came back and told us 4 different times that they were out of something the 4th time we had already been waiting in our food for an hour. Finally we just got up and left and the manager took care of our drinks. Our waiter we had was a bit delayed on bringing out my mother's salad before her meal as well. We were at Cheddar's for our first time. It was about 2:30-2:45 so they were not real busy and we got seated immediately. We had planned to eat there about a week ago at around 4:00 bit there was a packed parking lot and a line waiting outside so we waited till today. Our hostess and server we're delightful. We both ordered chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes and gravy with corn instead of green beans and an order of the croissants. The four croissants came out fresh and warm drizzled with a sweet buttery glaze. Our meal came out in a good time. It was hot and very fresh. The potatoes are from scratch with little bits of peel in them. A piece of Texas toast is included. The chicken fried steaks we're tasty and big although the ratio of breading to steak is more than we would have liked. They look bigger on the plate than they actually are. The breading was light, crisp and good. Not greasy at all. It was still plenty of food for us and we took home enough leftovers another meal for one of us. We will certainly go back but from what I have heard and read, we will go during the non-peak times. read more
