Ordered McAlister's for a field lunch (5 guys working outdoors) yesterday. Ordering was easy online and the food was hot and ready when my guy arrived to pick it up. Several of us ordered hot sandwiches and they were still hot when they arrived. I had a roast beef dip, it was really good. I wasn't a big fan of the steamed broccoli even though I usually love it as a side. It was a bit too soggy and didn't have much flavor (needed lots of salt and pepper). Order gluten free sandwich and fruit cup. The sandwich was supposed to be with ham,cheese, and lettuce(it was just a garden mix that you could get at the store). A lady took the food back and only asked what type of cheese I wanted. So wasn't even sure if it was gluten free or not. Then I ate one grape and saw a blueberry that look fuzzy/weird and it was mold. They're were very casual about it like it has happened multiple times before. We ate here after an appointment nearby. It was after the lunch rush and we were waited on quickly at the counter. My wife ordered the pecan berry salad and I had the Memphian with chips. We both enjoyed our meal and I inadvertently left my vest on the chair when we left. I noticed a couple hours later and called and spoke to the manager and she had already put it in her office for safe keeping. We have enjoyed the food. The last time we waited for 45+ minutes to get our to-GO curbside pick-up. After speaking to the Manager (at least he explained) we were told that the kitchen was backed up because the toaster was down. There was 5-6 workers standing in the kitchen chatting about Saturday night probably. Was not given our food for our extended wait, and wondered how a restaurant full of people would not need the staff to be on the floor assisting diners, cleaning tables, and at least offering to serve their customers. I was not the only one with an extended wait for food. Don't go on Sunday for lunch...would have been a quicker stop @ the grocery. read more

Good BUT problem with charges. Food was great. King Club sandwich so big had to eat in parts. Chowder soup very good. Chicken Tortilla soup different--creamy, but still good though prefer original. Double fruit/chicken salad was excellent. BUT we resented that the order-taker didn't bother to tell us there was an UPCHARGE for the chowder, for the King Club, and for the chicken/fruit salad!! Ordered here several times with minor issues here and there but nothing that was heart breaking, being I worked in the industry for several years it was never anything that big of a deal just forgetting a side was the worst it got, but this last trip was just AWFUL. We ordered a Avocado BLT, with extra tomato. We were given a bacon and bread sandwich, no lettuce, tomato, or a avocado. In addition we didn't receive our side of Mac or our brownie. I called the store, the manager was very apologetic and without hesitation said he would give us a refund because that was "totally unacceptable." Well now it's been a week with no refund issued and nobody seems to remember the phone call so I would suggest going somewhere else unless you don't want your order correct. read more

I ordered McAlister's via Door Dash...I won't do it again, and I won't patronize their restaurant any longer. My order was pretty simple. A club with no tomato, no mayo, and Jalapeno chips. The order I received had mayo, Sea Salt chips instead of jalapeno, and only half the bread on the sandwich was toasted, in addition to it being so sloppily assembled that it's almost impossible to eat. This isn't the first time they've screwed up a simple order for me, but it will be the last. No, none of this is a huge deal by itself, but at $18 delivered, there's better places that have employees who can read, so I'd recommend you spend your money elsewhere. read more

No big surprises one way or the other. I ordered a Reuben sandwich -- it was fine. Not great, the corn beef tasted OK but a little lacking. There was Kraut and Swiss cheese. The cashier seemed a tad put out that I asked for extra thousand Island dressing on the sandwich. The pecan salad was absolutely awful. Bitter strawberries, wilted lettuce, blueberries bitter too. Surely, surely they can figure out fresh & savory salads. Terrible. Waste of money & threw it out. I was frustrated with our last visit. We came at a slightly slower time than usual, so it was not due to the fact that the restaurant was as busy as it usually can get. Took over twenty minutes to receive a sandwich and nachos. The nachos were cold, and the sandwich came with avocados after we requested not to add them. Came here yesterday with a friends, we both ordered separately. When it was my turn to order the lady taking the order just seemed unenthusiastic. She acted like she didn't want to be there at all. That was a little annoying bc smiles, greetings, and just a happy tone of voice really goes a long way. Anyways order my stuff, I had a coupon (from T-Mobile Tuesdays) to get 50% off a sandwich. I scanned it, she asked if I'd like to use my rewards. I once again just let her know I'm only interested in using the coupon. Then it got awkward. I just stood there while she taps away on the screen. I had to ask her if it was applied. She said yes in a snarky way. I was like okay, great. Again patiently waiting. Then to come realize she was waiting on me to insert my card. This lady was just staring at me... she didn't even tell me my total. Listen, she was just be as short as possible. So whatever.. put my card in had no idea what it cost. She came back with my drink and I had asked for my receipt, that annoyed her. You can just see it on her face and demeanor. Sat down and looked at the cost and the coupon wasn't even added. Food was pretty good, the grilled salad was not worth the up charge on the choose-2. Update to my original review . I phoned in a pickup order and the guy on the phone had zero customer service phone skills . I waited a while in store for my order - people in back weren't wearing masks properly and one of the guys walked out his shirt had holes in it and bleach stained. My mac and cheese was ICE COLD. And the au jus for my sandwich! My sandwich itself was less than desirable the bread was hard and dry. What is going on here ???? read more

I wish there was an option to leave less than a one star review. To start the experience, we were not greeted while walking in the restaurant. That I could overlook. We ordered with ease but when our meals were delivered we found our sandwiches on DIRTY plates. After wiping down what I could and trying to look past the stickiness - my boyfriends first bite of his sandwich was painful - literally. He bit into a toothpick that was assembled into his sandwich like another topping would be. Attached is the photo of my dirty plate (you can see the stickiness!) and weird brown residue enveloping the mac and cheese I had as a side. $20 for two iced teas... We ordered online via DoorDash. The sandwiches were really good. The delivery took forever, but that's not the restaurant's fault. We ordered their nacho basket and literally received only about 3-4 ounces of the nacho cheese. Wouldn't have been bad for a $3 queso add on, but not for $7 bucks. The portions for the Mac and cheese were also very skimpy. Not sure we will re-order from them again. Too bad too, the pastrami and the corned beef are fantastic. read more

Stopped in here with a group of people for lunch. And when I say a group, I mean about 30 people. Perhaps multitude or legion would be more appropriate. I arrived about 25 minutes after the horde, so I don't know exactly how long they were waiting. However, I was super impressed that although about 25 of our group placed their orders at the same time, the food began coming out soon after my arrival. My food only took 10 min to arrive, which must have been due to either a) divine intervention or b) a kitchen staff that has it together. I ordered the BLT which was delicious. Toasted sourdough bread laden with bacon, a little L&T....YUM. I was feeling particularly unhealthy that day, so I opted for mac & cheese as a side. It also was tasty, and not one of those overdone designer mac & cheese dishes that seem to be so popular. Sometimes you really just want a plain ol' M&C, and McAlister's fit the bill. Typically a deli is the last place on earth you'll find me. Maybe it's because I didn't grow up on the East Coast, and as a land-locked Kansan I can't get past steak and potatoes to see the virtues of a sandwich. McAlister's warmed me up to the idea of deli food, and I wouldn't be surprised to find myself feasting on a deli sandwich in the not so distant future. read more

McAlister's offers a good selection of sandwiches, hot and cold with signature flare. There is a large wall mounted menu as you walk which takes a couple of minutes to review and see what is offered. Order too quickly and you're bound to miss something. The orange cranberry club was good, but their definition of lite mayo was out of proportion to the amount of orange cranberry sauce I received on my sandwich. I had to remove the rubbery bacon which rivaled that which you can have added at another popular sandwich place, as the texture and lack of flavor wasn't adding a positive experience. The chips I requested with the sandwich were piled high, and tasted quite a bit like classic ruffles. I do like the large cups they use for their tea, and they were happy to fulfill my request of half sweet - half unsweet tea. McAlister's was crowded as the lunchtime rush was in full force, but I was able to find a table without much trouble The runners will locate your number and bring your sandwich to you so there is no need to have to try and pay attention for a name or number to be called and then maneuver through a crowd with a loaded tray. They will also offer to get a refill of your beverage for you if the need comes up. A decent experience but nothing that really stood out on this visit. Maybe next time McAlister's. read more
