I would have given 0 stars if it was just for this visit. But going to give 2 stars for our prior visit over the weekend for their lunch service, which was really good! But the second time here for dinner. The pre-set menu concept I get but shareable plates as part of the individually ordered menu is a ridiculous concept!! And the size of the serving (which apparently they decide based on the number of people in the party!! heard that before??) is a joke.. don't believe me, see the pictures I attached of the bowl sizes for shareable portions (forgot to take pics with food in them, just know these were not even full). And don't get me started on the actual taste of food.. horrible, oily, bland is how you would describe the omnivores one. Lastly, the staff.. chef indifferent to any feedback!

it was so good i forgot to take a picture!!

I really regret not taking…read moreany photos of the interior because it was so beautiful ( picture cherry blossoms, fancy seating booths, and colorful dishes) but honestly I was just taking everything in I forgot! The inside is beautifully decorated perfect for celebrations or date night. Now onto the food and service. Service was good, food arrived in a timely manner so I have no complaints. I tried a few things on the menu: mango lassi to drink, hummus chaat (not on online menu from what I saw), butter chicken, chicken tikka masala, chili garlic noodles, and a variety naan bread basket. When I say EVERYTHING was delicious, it seriously was. I scraped every bit and looked forward to eating leftovers the next day. The portions were fair for the price. I also liked that you could choose the level of spiciness for each item. I definitely recommend this restaurant for anyone looking to try Indian cuisine. I will definitely be coming back to try more items from their menu.

We were seated immediately and ordered drinks which were out promptly. Jaljeera, wine and the cocktail urban turban special. I loved my jaljeera, perfect sweet and tangy spicy flavour. For starters we ordered chicken chapli kabab, tandoori fish tikka and dahi ke kabab. Dahi kebab was the winner, it was crispy and soft and went perfectly well with its sweet gravy which was good twist to this simple appetizer. My second favorite was the chapli kabab, it was so soft and juicy and very light on spice. Their fish dishes were a little disappointing, I guess the fish and preparation both were not impressive. For main course we ordered their malabar fish curry which again was a disappointment, punjabi chicken curry which was pretty good, but the daal bukhara stole our hearts, very well prepared and flavourful dish. We couldn't stop ourselves from ordering some desserts, so we ordered their balu shahi with Rabri and gulab jamun with icecream. Rabri was great, but balushahi was big, seemed undercooked and bland. It's very difficult to mess up gulab jamun so that was good. The service was fast and the people were so friendly. We paid tip over the bill that already had gratuity included since we dint know, and the person came back with money and returned it saying the gratuity is included. We loved the honesty and warm gesture of the people working there. I am really looking forward to visiting this place again soon and trying their other dishes.

Paired with the coconut chutney and sambar, it felt comforting and authentic without being overly heavy. The chutneys tasted fresh and well-balanced, and the sambar had a nice depth of flavor. The Mysore masala dosa was the standout for me. The dosa itself was beautifully crisp on the outside while still slightly soft inside, and the spicy red chutney spread added a great kick without overpowering everything else. The potato filling was well-seasoned, not too oily, and had just the right amount of spice. Every bite had a satisfying crunch followed by warm, savory flavors. Overall, everything tasted fresh and thoughtfully prepared. If you're craving South Indian food, this spot definitely delivers--especially for dosa lovers. I'll definitely be back to try more from their menu. The place is nice and looks classy. Service was good and the servers were patient and welcoming for us first timers when we arrived at almost closing time.

Lime & Lemon Indian Grill & Bar - Durham, NC (Weekend Buffet Review)…read more Food: 6/5 | Ambience: 5/5 | Hospitality: 5/5 | Price: 6/5 We drive all the way from Garner to Durham almost every weekend just for the buffet at Lime & Lemon -- and trust me, it has become a ritual we truly look forward to. We have never been disappointed even once. What makes this place special is that their buffet menu is never static -- every single visit brings something new and exciting, whether it's a starter, entrée, dessert, or drink. There is always a surprise element, and I genuinely look forward to discovering what new item will win my heart that day. Let's talk variety -- because they deliver beyond expectations: At least 2 vegetarian and 2 non-vegetarian starters 4 flavorful curries 2 rice varieties 2-4 dessert options, plus a welcome drink and tea Even more adds-on during festival/holiday specials For anyone wondering about the taste -- it is exceptional. Truly unmatched in the RTP area. I've been to many Indian lunch buffets around here, but nothing comes close when considering taste, quality, and price together. You will always find at least one dish that hits your sweet spot and leaves you feeling fully satisfied. And speaking of hospitality -- Anand deserves a special mention. He is our guy every single time we visit. He welcomes us with a warm and genuine smile, checks in often, and ensures every detail is taken care of. Meeting him, enjoying the food, and feeling at home has genuinely become part of why we come back so often. Anand is amazing -- his service adds a personal touch that stands out in today's dining experience. Some people may ask whether they have live dosa/pani puri stands or fish fry counters -- no, but I assure you, you won't miss them because of the exceptional variety and flavor they already offer. You'll likely walk out with a happy heart, tight belly, and zero regrets. Their pricing is honestly unmatched for what they offer -- especially in this economy. Hats off to them for maintaining quality while staying affordable. If you live in Raleigh-Durham or are visiting the RTP area, you must try the weekend buffet at Lime & Lemon at least once. Chances are -- you'll go back again, just like we do. Highly recommended!

Order Type: Takeout Ordering Method: Third-PartyPickup Overall Experience: Overall it was a pretty seamless experience. The food was ready at the pick up time and was still pretty hot when we got back home. What I Ordered: * Butter Chicken * Chicken 65 Food Quality:The food was fresh and flavorful and not at all greasy which I've experienced at other Indian takeout places. Accuracy:I really appreciated how they packed everything with care, everything we ordered was there and the portion sizes were great. We had enough for dinner again today. Value:On the app that we ordered from there was a buy one get one free option so plenty of food for the value. Notes / Things to Know: It's important to know that this is a South Indian restaurant, and regional Indian cuisines vary a lot. The spice profiles and flavor balance here will be different from what you might be used to at North Indian restaurants. Not better or worse , just different. The Chicken 65 was the standout -- delicious, great heat, curry leaves, and the exact spice level I was craving. The Butter Chicken was good, but just a heads-up: ithis dish tends to be sweeter, creamier, and more subtle in seasoning than the North Indian version many people expect. If that's your preference, you may find it milder here.

This place gets packed! Reservations are highly recommended especially on weekends. We didn't order drinks this time, but we started with the Saffron malai Royal, it came out "smoking" & was presented nicely! The chicken was very juicy and tender. We shared the chicken tikka masala which was presented nicely as well. It came with a large portion of rice to share. We also ordered Chili garlic naan & butter roti. The roti was okay. The naan was the star! Garlicky and buttery. Did I taste any chili, no but the naan was still delicious! Best I've had. We ended the meal with dessert, their Burnt Butter Pannacotta is a MUST order! Not too sweet and the pannacotta set perfectly. It seemed to have Smacks (yes the old school cereal) on top with a delicious sponge cake and fruit! It all worked well together! Overall I recommend this spot for anyone who enjoys Indian food or is willing to try it! We will be back to try other items and their cocktails!

The restaurant itself is beautiful and the light up menus are really cool! We started off with the cauliflower appetizer and it was huge. We couldn't finish it, but we did take some to go! I would give that a 10 out of 10. We then ordered the chicken tiki masala as well as another chicken dish. The tiki masala was very good. The other chicken dish had a little more spice than I would have liked, and a different flavor Profile, but was still good. The portions were decent and we had leftovers of everything. If we returned, we could likely do one Main + naan as well as the cauliflower appetizer. It was very clear that the food and ingredients were fresh and the presentation was excellent. At the end, we got a dessert that came out on a plate of what may have been dry ice, which made for a really cool presentation of "steam" coming out from underneath the bowl and crawling across the table. It was really, really cool. I noticed some of their appetizers are presented the same way. My spouse got two separate drinks, and I tried each of them, both were very good. The service was great, the atmosphere was beautiful, and I would definitely be interested in returning!

Anddddd, the best dosa in the Triangle goes to..... BLR Bar in Morrisville!…read more A few months back, I had planned a group dinner with a bunch of friends and one person recommended BLR Bar. I love Indian so I said "sure, why not!" A group of 8 of us went and as we all scoured the menu, it occurred to us that this place was vegetarian only. My initial thought (and I'm sure other peoples also) was.. "oh snap.... Did I make a mistake?" Honestly, it's been a long time that I've been to a non-meat establishment and had I known in advance, I probably would have passed this restaurant up, but since I was already there, I, along with everyone else, went with it. We were all seated, drinks had been poured, everyone was committed to their chairs. There was no backing out. From looking at the menu, it seemed like Dosas were popular so being that it was supposed to be a South Indian restaurant, I decided to get it. My friends got the gobi, one spicy and one non spicy. Guys, the spicy was incredibleee. Loved it so much. It was crunchy on the outside, soft in the inside and had a punch to it. But I will say, the non-spicy was just okay, it just didn't deliver that kick to it. When the dosa came, I was in love. It was a beautifully done dosa, with the perfect curl and texture. Paired with the sides, it was delicious. Fast forward six months later, I went to BLR Bar again, but slightly fearful that I wouldn't enjoy it as much the second time around. My fears were put to rest because it was just as delicious as the first time. If you're looking for authentic southern Indian Dosas, look no further. Pay BLR Bar & Curry a visit ASAP!
