I've driven by a lot of times but I'm glad we stopped by today!! Had the butter chicken it was so good the chicken was very tender I ordered mild but it wasn't spicy next time I may make it spicier. I like creamy so it was good if you aren't a fan of creamy sauce then you may not like it. The boneless biryani was good as well that was definitely spicy! The cocktails were pretty sweet and the waitress was able to describe them well. The waitress was very attentive as well as another waiter who was helping. We def will order one entree next time because the portions are pretty big (major plus though!) the samosas were delicious and the chutney sauce was 10/10! I like the food here. I think they do well with flavors and the food menu variety. Where I think they suffer is pricing for portion. This is a good place every once in a while with the bar convenience but I would say there are restaurants in the area that offer a better portion for price. The atmosphere is comfortable and homey, the menu is varied with ample veg and non-veg choices and there are drink specials and menu specials, the service is friendly and competent, and the food is 100% delicious. All of the staff were friendly and very helpful in choosing dishes and level of spices. We came as a party of four, and we shared the Goat Shorba soup, Chicken Malai Kebab (my favorite), Egg Pulav, Butter Chicken, and Malabar Fish Curry. Fusion Nine INTRO: Restaurant located off of Morrisville Parkway. Chicken Lollipop, Dal Tadka, Sizzling brownie- food was delicious and was definitely enjoyable. Food was plenty for two people. Sizzling brownie was an exciting dessert and was a great way to end the night. Parking/ location: Hard to find since it is tucked right next to the badminton club and is not visual from the actual road. However, there was plenty of parking space but arrived later at night so not at the busiest hours to see how that may be. Ambience/Service-There was an outdoor and indoors part of the restaurant. Despite these sections it was on the smaller side. The indoor section included a bar. The outdoor section was lighted nicely and tucked within trees and leaf décor which gave it a romantic atmosphere. The bad - the portion sizes are less than half as much as other Indian restaurants around the area for about the same price. The texture of the lamb Rogan Josh sauce was too pasty like canned tomato sauce and lacked depth of flavor. Our lamb Rogan Josh was 20% small lamb cubes and 80% pasty sauce. It wasn't busy when it opened at 11:30, so the service was very personal. I got the chicken korma and a mango lassi. The lassi had more flavor than the typical lassi you get anywhere else. I like extreme spice levels and have difficulty getting restaurants to take me seriously (in one place, my super hot was less hot than my Indian friend's mild). Here it was perfect! It could have been even hotter for me, but it was plenty hot. At the same time, they will adjust to your spice heat level if you can't handle much heat at all (as my wife can't). Have been curious about this place for awhile. It's a bit off the beaten path - just around the corner from Park West. We arrived at about 6 on a weekday. It was almost closing time but the restaurant owner welcomed us and served dinner. The restaurant is very clean and the ambiance was great. Like the name says it's fusion cuisine where they gave a mix of Indian, Mediterranean, Mexican & American. For starters we ordered Vegetable Tempura which had the right crispyness and we polished it off within minutes. We had Garlic Naan and Paneer Tikka Masala for main course and the flavors were on spot! They have a huge cocktail and alcohol menu plus multiple TV screens for entertainment. It was a rough day. Started aa 7 am followed by a day full of meetings and stress. The wife has a similar day and at 10.15 pm we set out looking for food (now you understand why context is essential :-) ) Went to an Indian restaurant that was supposed to be open till 11 pm but has turned me away at 1015 (and this is the third time they did that... bawarchi apex)... I hope they are reading this. Now let's come to Fusion Nine. They were empty (it was 1040). They were about to close as no one else was around. They still put on a brave face and welcomed us. We ordered an old fashioned and the pineapple based cocktail. Pretty decent. We had the tempura vegetable which was actually pretty fresh and light. We finished off with the paneer tikka Masala which was excellent. The person serving us checked in a few times, made good conversation and In general made us feel comfortable. One more indication that service matters as much as the food. Perhaps the only OFI I can think of is this. They can increase the quantity of the paneer tikka masala for the price. Headed to this place on a Sunday evening for dinner with high expectations from photos online. This place did not disappoint at all, instead exceeded expectations. We ordered Chicken tikka kebab, Coconut shrimp curry and Malabar paratha along with drinks. Every dish is so yummy. The kebabs are lightly charred outside and very juicy inside, coconut shrimp curry is very flavorful with all ingredients rightly blended together, Malabar paratha too is crunchy and tasty. This restaurant is a great idea but they are struggling to bring it to fruition. For instance the masala fries were simply seasoned curly fries the same as you'd get at Arby's. I ordered the fusion chicken tacos and it was a missed opportunity for the restaurant. They gave me some spiced chicken on a taco shell with some lettuce and onion. They could have used a chapati for the shell and used some pepper chicken or chicken 65 pieces with lettuce, tomato, coriander and onions. Maybe a bit of raita to act as sour cream. Stopped in because this is a new spot tucked in the old Italian food warehouse, open late and with a hip-looking vibe as you drive by. Was a bit of a strange place - first, all the parking spots look like they're reserved by a number/letter system, then you realize it's all for the restaurant (f9 for fusion 9, as opposed to the badminton club in the back - more on that later). Next thing you notice is how open and high-cielinged the place is - def still has a warehouse look but with modern, warm lighting. And then the noise level hits you. Man, this place is loud AF. Luckily people started filing out as it was 9pm on a Sunday, but this probably isn't a date spot - more of a loud group spot. The staff was friendly and fast. Menu is more of a mixture of different cuisines rather than a fusion e.g. you can get an Indian or Mexican dish, but not an Indo-Mexican dish. Minor point, but I'm a word nerd. Started with the oven-baked spiced wings. These are really tasty and come with a fresh and delicious green sauce, but at $10 for tiny, tiny wing pieces, a bit overpriced. Best I can describe this dish is delicate - delicately-prepared and delicately-sized. Breaded fried cauliflower was tasty, but once again extremely small in portion. They did have a nice coating and came with a bar-snack-worthy sriracha dipping sauce. By this point I was really hungry. I saw they offered lamb, chicken or beef burgers, so was hoping that I'd hit the "fusion" they're named for. Ordered with no bun (lettuce bun) to cut carbs and when it came out I had to search for the burger on my plate. Turns out their burgers are frozen patties cooked until they're dried out. Pretty gross stuff. There was an amazing cheddar cheese melted on top, though. But other elements were missing, like the listed homemade mayo. At this point I realized this is probably a lite-bite type of place for drinks after badminton, so we paid and left. Wife did love her pasta, though and ate all of my fries. So there are some bright spots on the menu, it's just tiny portions at prices that are a few bucks too high. And if you like badminton, you can walk past the bathroom and kitchen to see people play in the back of the restaurant (it's a shared bathroom with the club). No clue if you're allowed to watch them play - or join in - but it struck me as unique. Overall, if you don't mind the noise and small portions for a bit too much money, this place has a cool vibe, friendly service and select tasty dishes. You need to try Fusion Nine!! I always crave Asian fusion food and this will be my new go-to! They were more than accommodating for COVID-19 and even brought hand sanitizer to the table with the check. The service is impeccable! As for the food, my significant other and I started with the shrimp appetizer with the cranberry fizz to drink. It was everything we thought it would be and more. Then, the entrees- I had the chicken curry and my significant other had the lamb. The spices and flavors were just what we wanted, very authentic. Oh and the Naan!! You NEED to try the naan with whatever dish you have. We had the garlic naan which paired perfectly with both of our dishes. Amazing food, amazing service.
