I stopped by for lunch recently and ordered the Traditional Chicken Cutlet Sandwich ($15 plus tax), which includes 2 house breaded cutlets on a fresh Italian loaf. My sandwich was made to order and ready in about 10 minutes. The big sub sandwich was cut and wrapped in halves and boxed up to go. I had to rush back to my vehicle before paid time ran out, parked about half a mile away on Endicott Street. I headed over to Meredith and enjoyed my sandwich out on Town Docks lakefront which has ample free parking, unlike the overcrowded Weirs Beach area. The Traditional Chicken Cut Sandwich/Sub was actually two sandwiches, so the pricing seemed appropriate. The semi thick chicken cutlets were nicely breaded smothered my marinara sauce and melted provolone cheese of chewy Italian bread sub loafs. I would likely try the American Chicken Cutlet Sub next time, which has American cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, and mayo. NOTE: There is a clear tip jar container at the counter essentially begging for tips. However, when I paid cash for my sub, I got change back less a dollar bill. I was all set on leaving a tip in the jar, but they already took it.

I stopped by The Clubhouse recently for food and to get out of the very hot and humid weather. The place was air conditioned and I sat myself at a high top table in the front section where there were several people having food and drinks. The front room has a flatscreen TV on the wall and a digital jukebox. The bar offers 6 draft beers, can beers & seltzers, wine, mixed drinks and cocktails. The food menu offers appetizers, wings, wraps, sandwiches, subs, pizza, salads, and Italian dinners (lasagna rolls, chicken parm, ravioli) with garlic bread. The prices are moderate. I got an ice water and ordered the Lasagna Rolls ($17 plus tax). My entree was served in about 12 minutes after ordering. The Lasagna was a good portion served in a long oval casserole dish with 2 chewy buttery garlic bread pieces. The lasagna had rolls of firm noodles with cheeses and ground sausage and plenty of thick red tomato sauce topped with mozzarella and parmesan cheeses. However, the temperature of the lasagna was all over the place with the center very cold and the edges along the dish hot, but it was mostly lukewarm. I ate about 30 percent of the lasagna and boxed the rest to reheat very hot when I got home. The check was $18.45 (cash)/$19.00 (card) with tax and before tip. Overall, the service here was courteous and efficient. The restaurant and bar was clean. The lasagna was hearty, but the food temperature should be hotter, especially serving food with ground meat and soft cheeses.

The menu has changed a lot from what is online. There isn't a plant based or mushroom burger anymore. The prices have all gone up between 10-30%. The good? Live music on Thursday night with Dave Clark. He plays a wide range of music. Show him some love! Our server was pretty great. Friendly, answered all our questions, and gave good recommendations. Overall, a pleasant local Irish place with many different food options.

That was a little disappointing, though she didn't mind because she was experiencing some neck pain and just wanted a drink and meal then go home to rest. But speaking of drinks, the bar seemed slow though we were one of the few tables there at 4:30pm or so. I would give them 4 stars, but all of us loved our food! Even picky 9 year olds! Ha! That almost never happens! Now, one did forget her apple juice and cried because we were going to go back and get it (as she realized when we got back to the hostess station), but daughter said they cleared the table as soon as we all got up. One might thought our server would have said something, but no. As well, they couldn't find our loyalty rewards number when we were getting our checks. Overall, the 5 stars are for the chefs/cooks. My whisky lemonade was very weak, and my husband's Jamison pour seemed short too. It will be a while we return.
