We wait an entire hour for for our food and the server did not once acknowledged us after we placed the order. First time ordering food...we will call it 5.5 kids size buffalo chicken fingers for about $15. Come on seriously whats the deal with that? I had more blue cheese than wings. Sometimes the little things matter the most. Picture a 90 degree day with bright sun. You're sightseeing with family and the dog in the back of the Subaru. So we get to Weirs Beach, let the dog out for a walk, and now we need a place for lunch under cover that accepts pets outside. Then we found Tower Hill and they lived happy ever after.... Our server greeted us with a smile as she was just finishing selling several ice cream concoctions on the outside window. We sat on picnic tables ideally suited for an afternoon lunch. The dog water dish was readily available. The local brew on draft selection was superb. Besides a local IPA, we started with the light and tender chicken pieces. Not mystery meat or pink slime, but deliciously breaded chicken breast pieces each one more flavorful than the next. My dog also got a few.... Then the lobster rolls on slider buns made the day, coupled with superb French Fries. The lobster rolls were delicious. We left full, the dog left smiling and we were all happy. At least in the off-season, we'll be back. A good lunch experience. read more

This is a tough one. Went on a Tuesday afternoon and there was not one diner inside and a few outside where we sat with our dog. Waitress was a very sweet local gal who was apologetic about the wait we experienced. I am sure there was only one person in the kitchen as it took 30 minutes for a fried pickle appetizer and then another 15 for the meals. It was pleasant outside and we were not in a hurry and we enjoyed watching a wide range of characters parade by and having people come over to pat our dog who is a stunning black malamute. The fried pickles were actually damn good and we also got onion rings that were OK. I'm feeling that this place probably operates best as a bar at night and certainly the long bar inside and the no frills, dated decor suggest this place could be rip roaring fun on a weekend night or during bike week. It just seems they may cater to a different crowd than the family strolling the board walk playing bumper cars and arcade games and enjoying the sun and fun of Wiers Beach but who knows as they have been here forever. Obviously they kill it during bike week. Here is where it get the demerits. The grill cheese ordered with tomato had no tomato and just one single slice of Kraft american cheese on white bread. Yep I was pretty amazed that a sandwich would be served so obviously devoid of substance. It was fit for a 3 year old who doesn't like anything on the menu and has already had a peanut butter and jelly. It couldn't have costed more than .50 to make. The gal did go and get a slice of tomato but by the time she came back the sandwich was eaten. I got fish tacos which were a bit light on the over fried fish but had a decent sriracha sauce however it really needed 3 not 2 tacos to satisfy. Nan had the shrimp salad and made do, best I can say. If it wasn't for the pickles and rings we would have still been hungry. Also kind of funny my 82 yr old mother in law ordered coffee and specified hot..go figure it's August and 84 degrees but anyways it came iced and she was nice enough not to complain. I understand the waitresses mindset who would order hot coffee in this weather but she did. I actually drank most of it on the drive back to MA. And the bill was $60. In a nutshell I would come here again if I was in the area after dark for drinks and some bar type food only. read more

If I could give Tower Hill Tavern a 0 star review I would. The service was incredibly slow. I understand that restaurants are short-staffed but there were at least four waitstaff on the floor. They didn't have what I wanted for my side (homemade chips) so I settled for fries. I ordered my burger with only cheese and pickles but it showed up with lettuce and tomato. So I sent it back and it came back with a hard bun and no pickles. When I sent it back again, obviously upset, the waitress mumbled under her breath as she walked away. Apparently it's rude to ask for your food to be fixed. Nothing to try to make me feel better as a customer about spending my money here so I had them remove it from my bill and sat to wait for my fiancé to finish eating. Don't waste your money here. Great location and Al fresco dining along the strip at Weirs Beach. Definitely is geared to the biker crowd but a good variety in the menu - something for everyone. Our waitress was exhausted from the recently finished Biker Week and it showed, along with being short-staffed (like EVERYWHERE!!!) service was wicked slow. The bbq sliders were excellent, fish & chips better than average. Overall decent with a great location and a menu with something for everyone. read more

We waited an hour and a half for cold food. Our server never once checked on us during that hour and a half. We had to go to the bar to get even water or a drink. The restaurant was occupied, but not busy at all. The excuse from our server when I went in to search for them, was that "we have priority to the party of 8 inside, and your food will be out next." They were the only table inside the restaurant. 20 minutes later we got our lukewarm/cold food. Similar parties outside had the same experience, but at least they had a server who checked on them. 5 star ice cream. One of the only places with an open ice cream window in late September! The ice cream was local and delicious. We got the mint oreo, and the oreos were almost like chunks of brownie. It sits right across from the boardwalk, so the to-go window is perfect to grab an ice cream and sit on the boardwalk to watch the water. Tower Hill seemed good but the experience was horrible. I ordered a steak and cheese and my friend ordered wings. His wings arrived later and the waitress told me something happened and they were expressing my cheesesteak. We enjoyed our beers and he ate his wings. I asked the waitress again about the food. She said its coming. We had another beer. A while later there is no sign of the cheese steak. I'm concerned at this point as if a kitchen can't put out food whats the likelihood nothing will be wrong with it. I told the waitress to remove the food from my check. She went back to the kitchen to look one more time, then went around to what appeared to be several managers trying to find the manager who can remove the food I guess. Well the manager made her check the kitchen again. Still no food. The manager relented and finally brought my check. The place was busy but it wasn't super busy. I'd say the seating was 75% full. Finally we order drinks she asks us for our ids and mine is expired by less than a month but due to corona it's not expired for another 6 months. This place is great bar/pub. I don't understand the bad reviews. I was on vaca in the area and went in for a few drinks. Drinks reasonably priced. All of the Food menu options sounded great (bartender said it was a new menu). I opted for a couple appetizers which were delicious (mozzarella sticks were , stuffed mushrooms were also however were very small). The Service was awesome. **BEWARE** female bouncer with long brown 80s hair physically abuses customers. Her name is Tina Calabria. We arrived with a large group of people who not all of have heard the instructions on where and where not to have drinks. My cousin was on the dance floor with a drink, the abrasive woman Tina approached her and grabbed her and pulled her off the dance floor yelling 'go' at her not explaining why she was being forced out or anything. Tina proceeded to push her forcefully down the stairs from the upstairs venue saying "another one bites the dust". We took my cousin to the hospital and she sprained her ankle! How this woman still works here is beyond me because the nurse at concord hospital told me she is known for physically abusing customers and a lot of reviews here state the same thing. A friend of ours told us she pinned his daughter up against a wall made her cry! We filed a police report and urge others who have been abused to do the same. read more
