This place is so charming! We reserved the private room in the back for a work meeting and it was a real treat. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable regarding their wine selection and we enjoyed a few different appetizers, the fried green tomatoes with shrimp was my favorite. I got the steak salad which had a house made balsamic vinaigrette with strawberries, candied pecans and red onion. It was hearty and delicious. I love Cheers in the Heights! Hadn't been in a while but it's always fantastic when I do visit. I was craving a salad and lo and behold the chopped smoked salmon salad was at this location too! I usually enjoy the atmosphere at Cheers, but tonight was a very different experience. I witnessed the owner yelling at employees in front of guests, including an incident where she told our waiter to clear a table....only for the customer to still want the plate he removed. Our waiter, Max, was fantastic and doing an excellent job, but the situation was uncomfortable to watch. Personally, I'd much rather wait a few extra minutes for a table to be wiped down than see the owner grab a young employee's arm to scold her in public. It was disappointing behavior and not the kind of atmosphere I've come to expect here. read more

The food is always delicious and we love the ambiance. Their fries are amazing. Their salads are always fresh and tasty. Cheese dip is on point. My little girl loves coming here when we visit Little Rock. She actually requests it. It's such a cool little place with a great vibe. The food here is INCREDIBLE and the service staff knows their stuff. I often find that restaurants have an odd balance of overserving or underserving customers. That's not the case here. The staff is knowledgeable in dealing with their customers; they can tell what you want and don't want. My wife and I have visited twice, both times for dates (Great place for dates, btw) and we always leave pleased with dinner. Get out of your kitchen and into their restaurant. Your taste bros will thank you! Would I eat there again? MOST DEFINITELY Take your family? Of course! I do think this is a "nicer" family dinner spot, with a quiet atmosphere Affordability? We've tried it three times and my food was awful every time. My wife loved it, so maybe I ordered poorly. The most recent trip was for lunch, I ordered the French Dip and it was without a doubt the worst thing I've ever been served at a restaurant (including fast food). The bread was stale and burned. The meat was dry, over seasoned, and seemed genuinely "out of expiration date". I order fries but got chips, which were equally stale but also flavorless. The salmon appetizer was bland and boring, not bad but not worth ordering. No I didn't request a refund, etc. but it was so gross I had to write a review somewhere they might see it. Please do better...our lunch was $70 and I had to eat my kids leftover goldfish in the car to keep from starving while running errands that afternoon. read more

This is a hidden gem. Not too easy to find but definitely worth it. The food was amazing and the service is top notch. Prices are very reasonable. No bar but full liquor service. It's in a former house as are a lot of the businesses in the area. Plenty of parking next to it. read more

Cheers has always been a classic delicious spot for Little Rock Heights locals. I have been coming here for years. The cheese dip is delicious and unlike many others- spicy yellow, runny, but's still creamy! The wine menu is one of the best here! I always stick to the specials here. I love the pasta New Orleans for a choice from the menu too. The filet is great but I'm giving a low rating because the last 3 visits here have been a let down. Either me or my moms filet all three times have been well undercooked to the point of sending it back. It added a long wait and disappointed feeling when leaving. For the money, it's just not worth a steak dinner here anymore for me. read more

Very cute and tasty Little Rock gem! We ordered the fried okra for an appetizer and it was the best we had ever tasted. It was really crispy and not greasy at all. I ordered the salmon salad I requested the salmon be blackened. It was one of the best pieces of salmon that I have ever eaten. Nice portion, delicious blackened seasoning and it was steaming hot when it arrived to the table. Great mix of greens, fresh cranberries and strawberries and I was impressed that the small diced cucumber bits were an english cucumber (which is a more expensive and better cucumber than the kinds typically served in restaurants). The dressing was awesome as well. Everything was super fresh and good quality. My boyfriend ordered the steak salad and it said it was delicious, as well. He wasn't asked how he wanted his steak, but when it was served, he said that it was cooked perfectly. And, he said whatever it was marinated in was a great flavor. I think those 2 salads were $11.95 each (I think). They have a nice wine list which are about $8 and up, per glass. Nice selection of unique beers as well. The small restaurant is decorated nicely and has a cute patio with fireplace. We were here at 3 pm on a Wednesday, so we were the only patrons. Our waitress was Shelece (sp?) and she was very attentive, friendly and made us feel welcome & appreciated as customers. This is a very cute spot in the Heights neighborhood. There are lots of shops and restaurants in this area and Cheers is a delicious addition. Choose an indoor or outdoor seat and order away! The menu has lots of casual items like sandwiches and salads and also offers heartier entrees in the evening. I ordered the Albuquerque sandwich which comes with turkey, peppery cheese, avocado, lettuce, tomato, and a really delicious BBQ type sauce. The combo was delicious and served with a lightly dressed salad which helped cut the heaviness of the sandwich. Great service here with a very relaxed vibe. This is my Heights neighborhood favorite restaurant! The food is awesome, you see everybody you know and their take out service is super quick. We are so lucky to have Chris and Samantha Tanner who run this business in the Heights. Their sandwiches and salads at lunch are awesome. They have great cheese dip, a prerequisite for any Arkansas local restaurant that's one of the best in the state in my open opinion. But they don't stop there. Dinner is really the best with great steaks and seafood and of course sandwiches and salads and a lot of cajun inspired dishes. My personal favorite is blackened catfish! We were visiting from Orlando and wanted a quaint place that was dog friendly and found Cheers! Waitress was awesome even brought a little something for our furry kids to snack on! We came at 2pm so not very busy but we had a couple of glasses of wine and pale ale with the andouille and cheese platter. Very nice! Wanted to try the fried artichoke's but will save that for next visit. Oh yes there will definitely be a next visit. read more
