After discovering Cheese Brothers online, I was excited to try this melty low-carb snack at home. It was easy to prepare, just fried it in a pan over low-medium heat. Though small in size (4x6) and not as melty as I thought it would be (more breadlike), the golden baked bliss was savory and buttery and sinfully good. As a cheese fanatic, both the original flavor and italian were irresistible. But they do have a minimum order amount to get a package shipped out, so I ordered the garlic flavor too, which I have yet to try. Also got a block of 8-year-aged cheddar and yodel parmesan gruyere, both on the house. Not a bad deal at all. The delivery process was smooth and professional as well. read more

We were very pleased with the 12 Days Advent Calendar. It arrived on time and in a cute box that fit in my basement fridge. There were 3 full-sized bags of curds (one regular, one spicy-ish, and one garlic and dill) , and 9 full-sized blocks of cheese: Smoked Gouda, Honey Siracha Gouda, 8-year Aged Cheddar, an Alpine style, Italian style, Parmesan Gruyere, and Havarti Dill. Every one of them was delicious. This is a great way to try many cheeses to know what to order the rest of the year! Next Christmas I will be sending these as gifts. read more

If everyone is suddenly asking what you want for Christmas perhaps they should reframe their question. Sometimes we don't know what we want. Someone in my household was recently asked by someone outside my household "what do you like?" The person who asked wanted to thank the person who replied and I can only assume the reply was what set this whole thing in motion: "I like cheese". Well, who doesn't? If any state in our union screams "cheese" that state would be Wisconsin so what could be more perfect than a huge array of Wisconsin cheese being delivered directly to your door? "The arrival of "The Ultimate Wisconsin Cheese Sampler" is almost reason for a party. I immediately tore into the Mango Habanero Gouda and followed with the Smoked Cheddar. Honey Sriracha Gouda and Green Onion Cheddar will likely be torn into in a few hours. As a recipient, I can vouch that this sampler is a great gift. If forced to come up with anything less than 100% positive I would acknowledge that, as a NorCal resident the packaging of the individual cheeses strikes me as a bit more "supermarket shelf" than, "artisan cheesemaker". There is no goat cheese in the mix. This observation probably says more about the differences between the Bay Area and the state of Wisconsin than anything about the cheese itself. Wisconsin didn't get its cheesemaking reputation for nothing and Cheese Brothers, Inc. is a great way to try what that state offers. Truly, opening this bountiful box of assorted cheeses was a fun surprise and I can't imagine anyone else feeling otherwise. read more

When I opened the cardboard box, the packages were sealed within an inner soft-plastic cooler, the freezer packs within were still pretty solid, and of the cheeses were still cold. Thus far, the Havarti dill cheese has been my favorite; it was smooth, fresh, and tasted like it had just arrived from a creamery. I had the pleasure of trying Cheese Brothers cheese when my finance had a virtual team cheese tasting event that got a box of Cheese Brothers shipped to our house. While we life in San Francisco now, I am a Wisconsin native and was super excited. It was so fun trying unique and different flavors. The mango habanero was an overall favorite. The diablo is definitely super spicy! I also loved the Italian style and good ol' fashion smoked gouda. The cheese is large portion rounds and reasonably priced. I am happy that I stumbled across this cheese store. This store is on the 2nd level on the East side. This store is all about cheese which what you would think a cheese shop would be. I have lived in Minnesota since 1978 and I have not really tried Wisconsin cheese and didn't understand the hype. I was on a work trip to a few cities in Wisconsin The hotel had some Wisconsin cheese out for guests and I tried it and was pleasantly surprised how good and creamy it was. I knew I needed some to go with my wine at night. I have bought 8 different cheeses and have enjoyed them all. They have a special where you can buy 4 cheeses for $20 and a Yelp check in offer of a free cheese also. This place is all about cheese not like the subpar cheese shop on the 3rd floor. I have been here twice but I must have forgot a check in. I will be a regular customer. I have met the owner, he has a lot of cheese knowledge and passion to share with you. I don't know cheese and he took the time to explain things to me and provided samples of cheeses that I wasn't familiar with. I can't wait to try more. I am hooked. Being a red-blooded, Wisconsin born farm girl, I basically stopped dead in my tracks when I saw a cheese store in the Mall of America. I then realized they were giving out samples, which miraculously lit a fire--who are these people and what are they doing here?? Well, they're from Wisconsin alright and if there's one thing Wisconsinites have mastered besides binge-drinking, it'd be the art of cheese making. No longer do you have to trek as far as Cady Cheese or Ellsworth, you now have the convenience of a real, live Wisconsin cheese store in the biggest Mall in the country. What's not to love? They have a cooler of cheese with many samples to try in the front of the store with Gouda, Swiss, Havarti, Cheddar, and smoked varieties and also interesting concoctions (such as the Honey Sriracha--try it, I personally like to top it with honey and put it on a cracker). They also have some more varieties to left side of the store featuring aged cheddars among other cheeses. They also have had a promo going each time I have went. Cheese. Great signage. Can't get anymore specific than that. Samples? Umm yes please - hand raised so high. I had the havarti cheese with a raspberry pepper jam. One bite and I was hooked. The cheese is made in Stanley, WI. I hate Wisconsin, but for cheese I can put my hate aside (or for as long as it takes me to finish a block of cheese). The jam is made local as well - from Minneapolis, MN. Yah MN! The jam is from Lucille's Kitchen Garden. Pretty sure I met Lucille. Celebrity! I bought 2 of the local cheeses and 2 of the premium cheeses for $20. A steal of a deal. The jam was $8-ish. There is cute home decor inside as well - catered towards MN and WI. Of course there are cheese accessories, too. The owner, Eric, was incredibly friendly. I sampled some of his favorites and we talked about where the cheeses are made, etc. Very personable! The customer service alone is enough to go back! However, I'm in TX now...maybe some day they'll ship, but for now I hope they never leave the MOA so I can come back for more the next time I'm in town!!! read more

They have a 4 for $20 deal and with a Yelp checking you can get another cheese free! The deal includes the specialty cheeses, so I also got a gruyere in addition to my cheese curds, the honey sriracha and dill havarti. Blown away with their selection and free samples! The smoked gouda sample we tried at the entrance was SO FREAKIN DELICIOUS, we had to go in. The BF and I ended up purchasing four different cheeses to take back to Virginia with us. The girl who was working was so sweet and helpful. I just wandered into this gem today, not expecting to buy anything. My husband, the good sport he is, allowed himself to be drug along. Eric was there, and spent a good time talking to us and answering my questions, which was awesome in and of itself. Awesome cheese shop! We are here from out of town and just happened to stop in. The cheesemonger, Shawn, was incredibly helpful! We got to taste a bunch of the cheeses and felt no pressure to purchase anything (though it was incredibly easy to do so based on Shawn's knowledge and information, like TSA guidelines for cheese and the length of time cheese can be unrefrigerated). Shawn told us about deals, recommended cheeses for us to try, and was really great at multi-tasking to ensure everyone was helped (it got busy while we were deciding on some cheese). As for the cheese - really great! Try the dill havarti and the spiced Gouda. We weren't even looking to purchase any cheese, but had to get a couple because they were so different and tasty!
