My wife and I stopped in for lunch on Wednesday (Oct 25) while shopping in the area. What a treat. I had a hot Italian sub with homemade chips and my wife had the "Doug" sub with gravy fries. Both were delicious! We had a chance to chat with the owner and he told us about how he buys quality meats and cuts it all there. He told us on Friday's he has a fresh Haddock fish fry with his home made coleslaw and tartar sauce. So we went back on Friday and were again very pleased. The fish had a nice crisp beer batter without being oily. And he has a regular or small size, we each got a small and it was plenty. We like the fact that is family owned. I went to this establishment based on the reviews. I expected the cheesesteak sandwich to be on par with a genuine Philly cheesesteak and was deeply disappointed. Returned a few days later. Staying nearby and it's a quick convenient place to stop. Super pleased again. This time ordered the Hail Cesar, Reuben, and Fries. Noticed the Hails Cesar on the menu and asked about it. He advised the guy that invented it was cooking. He describes it, and of course I ordered it. While waiting in the food, I sat at the bar. It was after the lunch rush and while packed no one was coming in. The owner came over and asked if I had been here, and told told him how great it was. He told me how they order USA Black Angus top round for the need and prepare it all their selves. Also the USA chicken they order has the lowest % solution he can get. He gets everything he can from local farmers markets. No wonder everything is so fresh. He was friendly and obviously passionate about the foods he provides! I wanted to try something different, wary of chicken cheesesteaks, but a Fan on Cesar salads made me try the Hail Cesar. What a great surprise! I didn't know what to expect, but the chicken is cooked and chopped like the steak with seasonings. The bread it toasted as your crouton. Then romaine tops it all. The dressing is mixed all in, and the Parmesan is definitely not missing. Don't shy away if your interested! The Hail Cesar also comes with homemade chips. The know how to do chips, all crispy and seasoned well. The Reuben was ordered by my wife again. When she find something she likes she sticks with it, and she loved the Reuben. She requested extra Thousand Islands for. The Extra Thousand Island came on the side, he said it didn't want to add too much. Nice touch! The Thousand Island was homemade, always a nice touch. It was prepared as I would at home. If there wasn't so much to try, I'd order it as well. I give this place 2 stars because the food was actually good. Everything was down hill from there. We arrived at approximately 8:15 pm. There was no one in line to place a order when we arrived. We studied the menu and placed our order. The young man at the front (blond hair with tattoos) had no personality. He took our order and our money. He placed our ticket on a clip attached to a cable and tried to slam it back to the kitchen. The cook yanked the ticket off slammed it back to the front. There was something going on between these 2. They were constantly openly bickering and fussing with each other the whole time. One of them actually broke one of the steel clips slamming g it down the cable. Did I mention no one was in line when we got there. There was not a clean table in the house. We cleaned a table to sit at. There were a couple of people who came in behind us and placed orders. I had mentioned to the blond guy the drink machine was out of Coke. He made some kind of noise to acknowledge that. When he finished taking orders he made no move to fix the Coke machine. I went back to remind him and he said I have not been able to leave the front. Just another excuse like he had been giving the guys in the back since we got there. I told this guy Thank You 3+ times with no acknowledgement. At 8 til 9 with people still eating because we had to wait on our food , he turns off half the lights in the dining room and starts abnoxiously dragging the metal chairs on the tile floor to get them under the table. At about 8:50 a customer walked in and the blond guy tells him rudely, we are done. This place with good food needs someone who wants to be there as a night time manager with authority to manage the help. There was a family in the restaurant tonight with kids that did not need to see so called "adults" acting this way. read more

so good. probably the best meal i had while vacationing in myrtle beach. everything was fresh, and we ate inside the restaurant so we had to wait about 15-20 mins for everyone to get their orders. we didn't mind though, because like i said it was made fresh and that's what counted. i got a cheesesteak with house made chips and a drink. i opted for lettuce, onion, green pepper and banana peppers as toppings. the cheesesteak had the cheese perfectly mixed in with the steak, so each bite was consistent. the chips were pretty good as well! my sister had a side of onion rings and those were really good, made with batter and not breading, just how i like them. the only thing was that my sister ordered her cheesesteak with wiz, and they didn't put any on there. they swore up and down that they mixed the cheese in with the meat, but the steak was dry as a bone and you could tell they forgot to add the cheese. once she added the cheese she enjoyed it though! all in all, a pretty good experience and i would recommend this place to anyone looking for a tasty lunch or dinner. read more

The answer to a hungry belly while vacationing in Myrtle Beach! Kiddos gobbled up delicious cheeseburgers and very tasty fries. The hubs enjoyed a frosty beer with a tasty M.O.P. Sandwich - black angus beef, provolone cheese, onions and mushrooms. I had a Buffalo Cheesesteak with provolone and blue cheese. The bread was toasted and tasted like it was baked fresh. Not only was the food beyond satisfying, the price was amazing ($45ish for the 4) and the owner was so engaging. If you want a $5 sub that you can get in any strip mall, this isn't the place for you. This was our 2nd time eating here. Both times we left raving about our choices. The 1st time I had their Philly cheesesteak and it was the best I've ever had. The meat was handsliced fresh and of excellent quality. No Steakums in this sandwich. My husband had the hot pastrami and said it was probably the best he has had. You can order homemade chips to go with the sandwiches and they are great. Today he had their special the Alpha wolf which he said was terrific and I had the Ruben. I have to say the food is decent. Large amount of meat on the subs. As for condiments and toppings not so much. I got a build your own. It was a steak with Swiss cheese, grilled onions, green peppers, and banana peppers sub with mayo, tomato, and lettuce. I'm from WV and we have a local shop that has steak and cheese subs which is way better in comparison. They are really friendly and a super nice family place. We got there around 6 and they really weren't busy. But it was our last night at the beach and didn't want to travel too far. My son's kid meal came with fries and those were outstanding. When I took the first bite, it didn't taste right and neither did my son's, needless to say I talked to the manager and she said they cooked the chicken fresh yesterday??? I didn't order yesterday's food, and it was definitely older than 1 day old, you could smell it. I called the restaurant twice after I left, no one answered, so here is my review. If you screw up.. Normally we love it here but our last visit was extremely disappointing. Husbands order was missing all the veggies so they put the meat back on the grill added in his veggies and refried the same French fries instead of remaking everything properly. This is one of my go to spots every year when I'm vacationing. There food is amazing and great service. I get the buffalo steak and cheese. Absolutely love it. They have a pretty big menu which is perfectly fine unless you can't see good like me. I looked at their menu online prior to going. Made it a lot easier for me this year. Went to try the highly recommended philly steak, but just couldn't go past the special of Angus beef on a hoagie roll, slathered in Angus gravy and accompanied with house made chips (crisps) it was sooo yummy.
