If a seafood buffet is what you're looking for Crabby Mike's is the best in town. Food was great, atmosphere was fun, and service was on point. There were even times when the waiter strolled by and grabbed the basket of one crab leg carcass. Crab legs were cooked to perfection unlike the other seafood buffet I've been to (Captain George's and Crab Daddys). Easy to Crack with bare hands and the meat slides out. The crabs didnt even butter. One thing I want to comment on is how alot of the other seafood restaurants in the area are buying reviews, especially on Google. But Crabby Mikes doesnt seem to do that. So if you're reading this and why some of the other restaurants have higher ratings with more people... they bought the votes. Tldr; skip the others and go to crabby mikes. If the line is long then its probably worth it. read more

The crab legs were steamed to perfection. Easy to crack and pulled right out. The atmosphere was hoping as usual and the staff were friendly and eager to help. This is a must go for all you can eat crab legs with a variety of other foods and dessert. The one thing that was a down fall kind of was the amount of sides. Plenty of meats but lacking on the sides. This is what kept the score from being a 5 for me. I like good sides. Great addition would be baked potato to go with the steak and prime rib option. The cheesy potatoes were the best of all the sides available and I would have taken a to go box of just that if given the choice. All in all a great restaurant with a fun wholesome family vibe. Pretty crowded so food is always fresh. We got there at 4;50 pm and we had a to wait 20 minutes for a table. They had an incredible assortment of food...many different types of shrimp, snow crab legs, oysters, fish, prime rib, pasta, bbq, raw bar, dessert, many more things. Everything was very good. Not super cheap, ($50 pp) but you can certainly eat enough to make it worthwhile. read more

My grandparents and I consistently go to Crabby Mike's each year! Amazing staff, waiters, and waitresses, clean restaurant, and the food is always fresh and hot. You have to get their crab legs, crab cakes, bang bang shrimp, mac n cheese, and their onion rings as odd as that sounds. Our first time trying this seafood buffet. We were lucky and got seated right away and our server was very friendly, explained everything in no time. The ambiance was cute and the food was plenty! The price was almost $50 a person. We skipped the salad bar and went straight for the entrees and left a small room for dessert. I really enjoyed the fried fish, clams and oysters!! After A LOT of research, it seemed the top 3 seafood buffets in our area were Capt Benjamin, Crabby Mikes, and Capt Georges. (Crab Daddy's almost won via advertising until we saw their "underwater dining" was FALSE!) Anyways, we settled on Crabby Mikes and I was loving it! We didn't make reservations, we showed up at 7p on a Thursday. They had a DJ outside to provide entertainment. They quoted a 15-20 minute wait despite there being a large group of people waiting outside for a table! We decided to wait and I was glad we did! Unlike normal buffets, the servers bring you clean plates. They are not readily available at the buffet. But our server was on the ball. Constantly bringing new plates, silverware, napkins, and taking away the trash and dirty plates. Also unlike normal buffets, you are encouraged not to form lines. Just walk up and grab what you want. There were so many food options, both seafood and nonseafood options. It was great. Also plenty of dessert choices for after dinner. I primarily wanted to go here for their all you can eat snow crab. I still only ended up eating about a pound (4 clusters). I did enjoy that compared to another local seafood restaurant, they at least cleaned their crab legs off before serving them. Was looking for a good seafood buffet and decided on crabby mikes. My first impression walking in was the restaurant was decorated like a fishing port. Very nicely done. The waitress took our beverage order and we headed to the buffet. We both started with snow crab legs. I will say they were very tasty. Usually I find they are to salty, these were perfect. The salad bar was well kept and fresh. Most of the items were fried. The shrimp was cooked well but the clam strips were burnt as well as the fried chicken. To be honest the best thing on the buffet was the dessert. They usually look good but taste bad. I had the coconut cream pie which was delicious!! My husband had the key lime and peanut butter cup and a few more. Which he also stated was very favorable. The restaurant was extremely loud until about 6:30 when it started to empty out. The opened at 4:00. The price $47.98 plus tax. Not sure I would go back. Only really worth it if you eat crab legs read more

When picking a buffet and being from out of town, it can be very nerve-racking because you don't want to get caught in a tourist trap. Especially if the price is $50 plus a person I have to say we were so satisfied with our meal here! The crab legs are cooked to perfection big chunks of meat. Nothing tasted like salty water. Just N FYI, I hate seafood but my wife loves it and it was our 35th anniversary so that's how we ended up here. First let me tell you from the walk up to the walk out this place rocked!!!!! I gave it only a four because again I hate seafood. So here is the deal walked in and young lady opened the door and was pleasant as could be, the hostess seating us funny and awesome and our waitress was the bomb (if people still say that) she never missed a beat. Side note the entire staff was on their game I saw three spills/drops and it took all of 5 seconds to have a staff member stop and get it cleaned up WOW. I watched them bias tables around us and they didn't clean them once they cleaned them TWICE - seriously who does that!!!! By the way the place has pretty cool decor and was clean. Now the food since it was our 35th I decided to go with the flow and try all the seafood (except scallops I draw a line) and well folks I'm not sure what it is supposed to taste like but I wasn't spitting it out (usually the case with seafood) I LIKED IT!!! Like Mikey I Really Liked it!!! (Again I hate seafood) so while I'll not comment on its finer points I'll just repeat I liked it, heck even and especially the peanut butter pie for desert. We've been to many different buffets, and Crabby Mike's is by far our favorite in Myrtle Beach! The pricing isn't too bad, but the food--absolutely amazing. I typically avoid beef at all-you-can-eat seafood buffets, but their prime rib looked too good to pass up, and wow, I'm glad I tried it! It was one of the best prime ribs I've ever had--cooked to perfection and incredibly tender. The seasoned crab legs were another standout. They went fast, so it was hard for the kitchen to keep up with the seasoned ones, but even the unseasoned crab legs were perfect. I also really enjoyed the fried clams, mussels, and raw oysters. While the desserts were just okay, the main course items were so on point that I'll definitely be back. Bonus points for offering a discount to locals! I am not into buffets at all. As a matter of fact I hate buffets. I only go because my wife really loves these big crab legs. She only does buffets when we go on vacation. I can say I highly recommend this place. I actually really enjoyed the food here. This was a great experience. This place is not run like a warehouse. I can't stand Benjamin's Calabash in North Myrtle by Arrowhead Road because it's overcrowded and run like an Amazon warehouse. We got here at 4:30 pm shortly after opening and this place was filling up fast. Very friendly staff, inviting and pleasant to interact with. Plenty of room between tables. Restrooms and sparking clean with modern amenities . I had the Prime Rib, baked chicken, sweet potatoes, macaroni and cheese and cherry pie. Prime rib was cooked the way I like it (medium rare) and it was good. Not GREAT but this is a buffet and I give it a thumbs up. Baked chicken was good, Mac-n-cheese is heavy on the cheese which I like, sweet potatoes were awesome. I didn't take pictures of the food because we have all been to buffets. I am putting this buffet above all the buffets in Myrtle Beach. I haven't been to all of them but I have done at least 20 since 1996. I am impressed with the service and food. They even take your picture and make in into a complementary postcard. Of course they sold me three other pictures and I was more than happy to purchase them. read more

My family had our annual family gathering. We all waited outside of the buffet waiting for them to open their doors at 3:30pm. When the doors opened we were greeted by a waitress who appeared pretty overstimulated, one of our family members told us their car broke down so we were a couple family members short from what we told the buffet on our reservation. I was informed that that once we were seated family members late to the reservation would not be able to join us and eat. By the way they structured all of this you would assume that we would be seated in some type of room or special section of the restaurant, however this was not the case. We were split up between several different tables and couldn't communicate and catch up with each other over the " sea food". When we were first divided and seated my table was greeted by once another overstimulated waitress , she took our drink orders and brought us non dried plates with water in them we had to dry ourselves. We came here to enjoy seafood and catch up, NOT to dry their silverware and plates. I started off with some Mahi and a side of rice and "cheesy potatoes with bacon". The mahi tasted decent as well as the rice and the potatoes were above average. I finished it and decided it was time to try what they're known for, their crab legs, I also tried some of their crawfish. I noticed when I took my first bites the shellfish were very bland. Absolutely no type of seasoning on them I could taste, All I ate was the texture of the shellfish. I finished that up without thinking about going for seconds all I wanted was some ice cream to clear my taste pallet which was barely tampered with. The ice cream also was a bit off as my aunt described as "ice melt". In conclusion the only thing I was satisfied with was the "cheesy potatoes with bacon". The most efficient thing the waitresses did in this experience was bring out the bill which made you question if it was worth the risk of walking out without paying it. However I paid and as we were walking out I asked if I could get a to-go cup of my sweet tea and they proceeded to give me a mini kids cup of sweet tea which mostly had Ice in it. Make this buffet the last one on your list to go to I personally recommend "Benjamin's" or "Captain Georgia's". read more

I had been here with family around 20 years ago and I remember it being a little better than what we walked in to. We were in the area and wanted to try another buffet for crab legs, the place was busy and we were sat immediately, however we should have looked at the food options before committing. The price is in comparison to the others we have seen however not the quality of food. The crab legs looks small and the other food choices were slim and did not look fresh or inviting. Most visits here are good. Tonight the crab legs were hit or miss. Most had leathery shells and did not crack. Spent way too much effort to get them open. Overall really good food, clean restaurant, good atmosphere and excellent waitress! $49 for adult and our kid is 11 so $23 for her. Wish more items on the bar but overall plenty to eat. Very large and spacious inside, not really and divisions in the areas, do not like the steps required to get to upper areas. Overall, bar area felt cramped and flow improvements are needed. When talking all you can Eat crab, people tend to get in wherever they can if a good flow is not set up. Service was great as our server was on the spot with clean plates, and drink refills. Food was standard, crab seemed to be wetter than other houses that I have been to, but the flavor was good. Overall, I would add this to the list when in the area. read more

For starters...I started with salad...the freshest salad and toppings. The ranch was amazing. On to the buffet. I had many different types of shrimp. All delicious. Pork ribs were ridiculous. Great food, especially the crab legs! There are so many options for all you can eat seafood buffets in this area, and this is a great option. I went on Memorial Day weekend. They don't take reservations, but they were able to accommodate my request for specific seating for a member of our party with mobility issues. There is a check-in process to get on the list via text message. The wait on a busy Sat night was 45 mins, which was better than expected. The parking lot was jam packed, but there is some overflow parking. Out server gave us salad plates and a large stack of small dinner plates. We promptly ignored the salad plates and went straight for the crab legs. They have a staff member in charge of the crab leg station and kept bringing out large chafing dishes with freshly steamed crab legs" clusters. All the clusters were bright red and very fresh looking/tasting. Another few of my favorites were the fried oysters, the mussels, and the clams. I also tried the she crab soup, but it was somewhat sweet, which wasn't my preference. For dessert, I got a couple of small and tasty pieces of baklava. Very impressive! Our server checked on us very frequently and emptied our crab leg shell containers before they overflowed every single time. The only downside is that you will need to be weaving between people to get to the stations you want. However, the value for price (45.99 for all you can eat for an adult as of May 2024) makes this place a gem! read more
