Food is awesome! However they have a cashier who apparently has a drug or alcohol problem and cannot function correctly doing their job. I expressed my concern to the owners who said that employee suffers migraines. As a business leader I have witnessed this same scenario with an associate who said their behavior was because of allergies. That employee passed away from an accident determined to be due to a narcotic induced state. The business owners contacted me and defended their employee and reversed the situation stating that my disabled friend was making her uncomfortable by staring at her. The first time we went there is was fantastic. The cheese steak sandwiches were excellent. 3 of us went there last Wednesday and it was horrible. The inside looks like they are ready to shut down. We ate outside and they brought the food out as like we were taking out. We spent over $60.00 for cheese steaks (original), sodas and onion rings and they skimped on everything. We used to come here all the time about 6-7 years ago. After the place was sold we stopped coming because it seemed like things had gone downhill. This week when our normal go to place (Peppers) is closed for the holiday we decided to give it another try. The service was kind, but slow. They were working hard, but it was slow. About 70 minutes for lunch from the time we arrived to when we left. (12:00pm - 1:10pm) They couldn't keep up with cleaning tables. We cleared and cleaned our own. The food was good but not great. I cannot believe that I have not written a review for this place before. We eat here once or twice a month when coming back from the beach. I will start by saying that Peppers on 707 has the best cheesesteak in the area, but we always enjoy our stop here too. There is not really service because you order at the counter and then they drop it off at your table. The food is always fresh prepared right in front of you. That is good and bad. Good for the obvious reasons and bad because if there is a crowd and the kitchen is short staffed you might need to camp out for your food. That has only happened twice for us. We get both chicken and steak sandwiches. Always good. I agree with the other review that the meat is not heavily spiced. I think that is one of the reasons I like it. It just tastes like chopped up meat. If your heart can handle it, order the cheese fries. They come swimming in the cheese sauce. Takes a coupe years off your life, but you would think it is worth it as you eat each fry. Bread is key to these sandwiches and theirs is always good. We had lunch here and found the food to be just average, which was surprising considering other reviews we'd read. Staff was super friendly, but the cheesesteak itself had (only) one big, soft, piece of leaf lettuce on it, along with mayonnaise, the cheese and meat. There was a very generous amount of meat on the sandwich, but it was strangely lacking in flavor; almost as if no spices or seasonings were used in cooking it. The bread was very good, fresh, and a great complement to the sandwich. Had they used iceburg lettuce, preferably shredded or if not, a few pieces, along with seasoning the meat, it would have been a fantastic sandwich. In fairness, my husband loved his cheesesteak and thought it was great. Had The Hot Pepper with Jalapeño and Provolone. Amazing. I'm a gristle magnet.. I've never made it more than halfway into a meat sandwich without running into gristle or other unmentionables. Stopped by Cheesesteak Factory in Surfside because I've been hearing their ads on the radio recently. Must admit, i had my guard up with growing up in the area famous for cheesesteaks, ive tried cheesesteaks all over and they never get even close to Philly. They go beyond your typical Geno"s with creative off shoots, i tried the spucy buffalo cheesesteak with provolone... My first bite sensation was that lo and behold it was an Amarosa bun, crunchy on the outside , soft and fluffy on the inside. So at this point in the game the have accomplished 70% of a successfully executed Philly cheesesteak. As for the steak, fantastic. I only give them 4 stars cause you can't beat a Philly cheesesteak. Since it had been quite a while since I had been there, and a first visit for my friends, we needed a menu. The menu has a lot of different cheesesteaks to choose from, so we settled on the Loaded Original. This sandwich included steak, your choice of cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, mushrooms, peppers and mayo. And you can either add or take off any of those ingredients you'd like to kind of customize your sandwich to your liking. We made ours a combo and got fries and a large drink. You can also get other sides, such as: sweet potato fries, onion rings, macaroni salad, etc. From the first bite, the meat is tender and extremely juicy and seasoned to perfection to the point where it almost melts in your mouth. You can taste and feel the juices squirting from the meat into your mouth...how'd you like that visual? The sandwiches are made fresh, on the grill so you know it's real steak meat. All in all I was thoroughly pleased with my experience, even 10 years later. Only thing I could complain about were the fries. They weren't the best and they got soggy from being inside our to-go boxes with all the moisture. But that is literally my only complaint! We didn't realize how many places are closed in winter. We were excited to discover Cheesesteak Factory! We had Reuben, meat and cheese steak, and owner recommended Dario. Also, house made chips with ranch. Everything was very good. Hot and fresh. We all tried a little of each. My husband and I especially enjoyed the Dario. Not only are they skimpy on the meat, cheese, peppers and onions but the meat that is there has absolutely ZERO taste. A little salt while cooking could work wonders. We used to order a Cheesesteak, all the way with a bag of chips. Now, they offer homemade potato chips which are thinly sliced, soggy, limp pieces of potato. Pretty good steaks, just put to much whiz on for my liking. One of the best steaks I've had since moving from Philly.

We stopped by just before 9:00 pm but we didn't look to see what time they closed. No one told us they were about to close, and just a couple of minutes after we received our food, they turned off half of the lights in the dining area and started loudly dragging the metal chairs on the tile floor to get them under the tables, then a lady moved them all out to sweep. The employees proceeded to clean all around us as we ate - had we known, we'd have asked for our food to go. (We assumed that a restaurant in such a busy location would stay open past 9pm, especially on a Friday night in the summer.) The cheesesteak and fries that I got was HOT and it took a while to cool down! It was quite good and hearty, but I would have liked more cheese. My family and I ordered food from this place while vacationing at Surfside Beach last week. The person who took our order on the phone was very rude and non attentive and constantly repeated "What was your order?" She finally got our order and said it would be 30 minutes because they were so busy. My husband went to get the food and said there wasn't another single vehicle in the parking lot and could hear the workers laughing about how slow they were. This was the worst food we have ever tried to eat. The steak subs had sheaves of fatty ligaments all thru the sandwich and could not be eaten. Our orders were all messed up and the wrong toppings on each sub. I called numerous times and was told "This mailbox isn't accepting voicemails any longer." We spent $61.00 there for SLOP!!! I emailed a message to the email address on the website but noone has had the decency to respond. This place will soon go out of business if they continue doing business like this and rightfully so.
