Would have given more than 3 but 3/4 times I've ate here the subs have been bland. Literally no flavor whatsoever. The only reason I'm even giving 3 stars is bc the Alpha Male sub was the one thing that I've had and it was great. Had me stuffed. The other 3 visits I have been disappointed with the lack of taste in the subs and they've been extremely skinny these 3 times. I work across from it and by the time I got back to my store and opened the to go tray to see the sad state of the subs I was already back in my store and unable to take it back across the street. I'm a pretty regular customer here but you honestly never know what you're going to get. sometimes my cheesesteak is delicious and other times it has zero flavor and there are tough pieces of meat that I have to spit out. one thing that drives me crazy about this place is if you call and they ask if you can hold...you'll never be able to place an order. they forget about you and when you try to call back, you get the machine. it has happened to me at least 10 times in the past 6 months so its not a one time thing. read more

Fingers Crossed That They Make Your Meal Right... Man what a crappy experience in customer service and quality product. We ordered $48 worth of stuff including 3 sandwiches. Order had one with chez whiz, one with provolone, one with no cheese. Somehow NONE of them had any cheese. They were all ordered to go and when we got home and noticed we called to inform them of the problem. The owner got on the phone and proceeded to tell me how they definitely did have cheese even though I had the cheese-less steak in my fingers as we talked. He even told me how he regularly gets complaints about the chez whiz sandwiches because it "looks" like it doesn't have cheese. (Hint: if you regularly get complaints...then Fix It!) Anyway, I mentioned to the owner that we've been there before on previous vacations and it was our first choice for lunch in this trip. He apparently didn't care cause he clearly got tired of talking to me and trying to convince me of how wrong I was cause he suddenly started a tirade saying "ok so what is it you want? What do you want us to do? You want a ton of free sandwiches, is that what you want?..." etc with a really nasty attitude. TBH, we would've been happy with a store credit cause we wouldn't have minded coming back another day, or even just a genuine apology. But after that kind of nasty response from the owner he clearly doesn't mind losing a customer that has to feed a family of 5. So after he told me to just bring back the uneaten sandwiches I did just that, I brought the 2 sandwiches back for a refund and a goodbye to the establishment. We won't be coming back. Btw...upon returning the sandwiches the staff that looked through them seemed to confuse a speck of mayonnaise to be the same as provolone melted on a cheesesteak, but also clearly noticed that there was zero chez whiz on the other sandwich. In short, this place is a solid 3.5 overall because they serve exactly what should be expected: standard tasty simple sandwiches, not amazing but decent. Not cheap but reasonably priced and made fresh (when made right). It's a 2.5 for speed so expect a long wait for your sandwich, took us almost 25 minutes. Service from staff is a 2.5 to a 4 depending on who's at the register. Management is clearly a 1 from my experience. The one thing I'll give a 4 to are the homemade chips; lightly seasoned and salted, very yummy. I don't give 1-star ratings just cause I didn't like a single experience, but I had to give it a 2 because it would've been a 3.5 until the Owner showed just how little he cares about his customers. read more

I am a local and hadn't been here in over a year because I had not had a great encounter. I decided to give it another try tonight. I went through to drive through, waited behind someone else for 10 mins. Get to the window, a sign says no orders through drive through. (Ok my fault it's been a while) I park and go inside I'm the only one inside to place an order. I'm at the counter and the woman says let me take care of the drive through truck. (Umm no first come first serve is the proper customer service way). Mind you I waited another 8 minutes while she rung up separate orders and an add on order for the truck that arrived to the pull up window after me. I ended up leaving and not ordering. One more mention is she said well it's 45 mins wait for pickup you could have ordered ahead. Well. I tried. Phone didn't work either. Needless to say I walked away, didn't order and will not be back. Their fish fry on Friday and Saturday is by far the best fish fry in all of Myrtle Beach. This place advertises they use ribeye steak. When I got the philly, the decent bun was filled with the steak mix. They didn't skip on the portion. However, the steak was so chopped up, it was like eating a steakum. I was expecting some resemblance to ribeye. The flavor was ok, but nothing special. The service was ok, except the lady that took my order never smiled, and looked annoyed the entire time I was in there. I probably won't go back. I made an effort to visit here while on vacation in the area and get a cheesesteak as I love a good cheesesteak. Last year I was unable to make it in and despite the reviews having taken a downturn from the prior year I was determined to give it a try. I should have heeded the prior posts. I ordered a cheesesteak to go, paid and waited. And waited. And waited. Thankfully all this waiting gave me ample time to watch things. Things like... The flys circulate around the food toppings (ex. lettuce, tomatoes, sauces, etc.) that are used for other meals. Or how about the cook who uses smokeless tobacco and while over the grill turns his head to spit into the trashcan to the left of him. Or how about the tables being left to sit, uncleaned, after the few patrons that sat there had left. Or how about the utensils being used for both raw meat and cooked meat at the same time...that also had a fly or two land on it. Or how about the people walking around with the gloves on scratching themselves or going outside and coming back and grabbing all kinds of things with the SAME gloves on. Or the 2 people just standing around doing nothing while the one spitting guy tries to cook two orders on one grill with two more grills sitting idle. Look, I like a mom-n-pop place and don't expect a super clean place but there was plenty that could have been done by the 2 people standing around to keep things neat and tidy. Oh, the food is ready. Great. Only took 24 minutes to cook it up with one customer ahead of me that also waited. Let's bite into this and taste a...ugh, stringy, fat-laced meat. There's enough cheese but the steak part was terrible. After spitting out 2 of 5 bites into a 10" cheesesteak due to stringy, fat-laced meat I wrapped it up and tossed it. Disappointed. It was our first time eating here.... won tickets off the radio..SAD to say if we had to buy the subs they would have gotten them back..... chips were SO salty didn't eat them.... mushrooms were NOT grilled... the subs looked as though they threw them in the box....very bland.... I was born and raised here... My friends did try to tell me that the food has went downhill but we said oh what the hell lets try it.... hopefully in the future for all others that do eat there the cooks will take a little more pride when cooking... btw i have served ALL over this beach so I'm speaking from both sides!!!! read more

My family and I visited the Cheesesteak Factory on our annual holiday vacation. My parents tasked me with finding a local restaurant and I of course looked on Yelp to find a hidden gem. It wasn't long before I stumbled across the Cheesesteak Factory and we all agreed we should try it. When we walked in we were greeted by friendly faces and mouth watering smells. The restaurant is relatively small but very clean. It took us awhile to order because there were a lot of options. I chose the regular cheesesteak, fries, and a brew. The cheesesteak was by far the best I've had. My family also enjoyed their meals and thanked me for finding the restaurant. All in all a great experience! I can't wait to go back to South Carolina to visit Cheesesteak Factory!! read more

My husband and I have been there twice. The first time was a year ago. We both got the philly cheesesteak and chips. Its was amazing. No complaints and we knew that we would be back. Fast forward to a year later and I'm totally disgusted with the total change of food quality. We got the exact same thing as last time (stick with something we know we liked last time). So many things wrong! The meat tasted and looked like a cooked tire, lettuce was rancid and wilted, the chips were soft and super oily. Not to mention the workers were very rude and disrespectful while there. The cook didn't have a hair net on his head or very long beard. The kitchen also looked like it hadn't been deep cleaned in a year. Moral to the story, I'm not sure if they switched owners or if they just got extremely lazy, but I am sure that my family and I will not be going back. read more

I'm not a fan of any fast food, but when I saw their sign advertising that they serve Zweigel's hotdogs from Rochester NY, I took a chance. The only hotdogs I've ever eaten are Hebrew Nationals or Nathan's. I expected Zweigel's to be similar. I took only one bite. It had little taste and an unusual texture as well. The bun was dry and cold. Their sweet potato fries were acceptable, but their tea was tasteless. To make it worse, the cost of my hotdogs, fries and drink was twelve dollars. Food is awesome! However they have a cashier who apparently has a drug or alcohol problem and cannot function correctly doing their job. I expressed my concern to the owners who said that employee suffers migraines. As a business leader I have witnessed this same scenario with an associate who said their behavior was because of allergies. That employee passed away from an accident determined to be due to a narcotic induced state. The business owners contacted me and defended their employee and reversed the situation stating that my disabled friend was making her uncomfortable by staring at her. The first time we went there is was fantastic. The cheese steak sandwiches were excellent. 3 of us went there last Wednesday and it was horrible. The inside looks like they are ready to shut down. We ate outside and they brought the food out as like we were taking out. We spent over $60.00 for cheese steaks (original), sodas and onion rings and they skimped on everything. There wasn't much meat in the sandwich, hardly any cheese and very little fried onions. They just lost 3 customers. We used to come here all the time about 6-7 years ago. After the place was sold we stopped coming because it seemed like things had gone downhill. This week when our normal go to place (Peppers) is closed for the holiday we decided to give it another try. The service was kind, but slow. They were working hard, but it was slow. About 70 minutes for lunch from the time we arrived to when we left. (12:00pm - 1:10pm) They couldn't keep up with cleaning tables. We cleared and cleaned our own. The food was good but not great. The homemade chips were excellent. The flies were out.of.control. I feel like I was bitten by flies at least a good 10 times. I doubt we'll be back.
