    Steak Greek taco
    Whit D.

Went to happy hour here! Definitely upscale and pricier than the former Wikis. First and foremost I must commend the service, it was great! Food was brought out as it was done, fresh and hot. Ordered Greek tacos, pizza, truffle fries, Cajun butter shrimp and stuffed mushrooms. Everything was delicious. My daughter loved the truffle fries. My ultimate favorite was the steak Greek tacos. Nice chunks of meat, marinated and tender with fresh veggies. Would have ordered more happy hour drinks if they weren't $12 a drink. Kind of overpriced for happy hour! Strawberry margarita was bomb though!

Tried this spot for the first time. It is a nicer date night restaurant but you can still show up in shorts and a T-shirt and not feel two out of place. Seemed really popular for larger groups but you would need reservations. We don't have a reservation but were seated quickly. The menu is on the pricier end but the food was delicious. The house salad was a standout as it included so much-cucumber, eggs, croutons, red onions and large chunks of blue cheese as we wanted blue cheese. I would ask for dressing on the side though. We had the duck, parm risotto, crispy brussel sprouts. And then lamb with rice pilaf and mash. Only complaint is the food took a while to come out and then when done a while to be bagged up. Overall good spot and would come back.

I was treated to this gorgeous spot by my Yelp bestie and wow!...what a vibe! From the moment we walked in I was fascinated by the decor. It looks so upscale, stylish, and totally sets the mood for a fun night out. Our host Kimberly was amazing ! She was welcoming and came to check on us at all the right times. Happy hour was a total win! We ordered a few things to share like the pita pizza, Greek tacos, Cajun butter shrimp, and stuffed mushrooms. Honestly everything was absolutely delicious. My personal favorite had to be the Greek shrimp tacos, they were packed with flavor and gone way too fast. I also ordered the Cadillac margarita and it was made to perfection. The presentation was beautiful and it tasted just as good as it looked. Such a fun experience with great food, great drinks, and even better company. Definitely a happy hour spot I'd come back to again!

The beautiful berry salad, but with romaine instead of spinach.

Another excellent visit to Chef Lino's Prime. This place has just been spot on every visit. The service is always excellent. The menu is so interesting it makes it hard to decide what to order. I want to try everything. The dushes we decided on were amazingly good

Went to Chef Lino's last night and were able to walk in without a reservation. Our server, Casie (I believe), was incredibly attentive. We'd only been once in the afternoon before, but wow--the atmosphere at night is completely different. It has this smooth, 50s jazz, old-era vibe that feels special the moment you walk in. The food was fantastic. The Caesar salad was solid--still chasing that Golden Steer gold standard from Vegas, but it was good. The filet was outstanding for the second time; perfectly seasoned and truly top-tier quality. The lobster was delicious, though the portion was on the smaller side. My husband had the Cajun shrimp with risotto, and while the shrimp was great, the risotto was an absolute standout. Also worth noting--the Old Fashioned was one of the best we've had locally. Can't wait to come back and try more of the menu.

I mean, what did we expect for Bakersfield, lol. Mildly disappointed and broke the bank. First of all, my dad wanted to watch the ball game because he's a red-blooded American dude or something and they sat us outside, even though there were TVs indoors. Twas weird but we looked past it. I may watch too many reality cooking shows because when I see the Chef's name in the name of the restaurant, I immediately assume it's going to be a life-changing dining experience. This was... meh. A for effort, for sure. I mean they even called their zucchini "Courgettes" to be fancy. But when you name something to sound upscale, for the love of God deliver on the taste. They were good, but when you're taking out a second mortgage to pay for dinner you expect a Sleepless in Seattle-esq moment when you taste it. I appreciated our waitress--she was doing the best she could. But when we asked for some bread (which we had to pay for) and a half-hour went by and we still hadn't gotten it, we got curious. Thankfully they have massive windows to put the indoors on display because we saw our waitress inside bussing tables. No wonder it took so long! Over the course of the evening, I ordered three vodka tonics. The first two were good, but the third was vodka soda. I still drank it because, hi, alcohol, but it was a bummer. The food was nothing to write home about. And when the check came, I thought my elderly father was going to stroke out. I appreciate the effort, but it seems the days of really fantastic dining is in the past.

The Old WIKI's is Keepin' it Cool, and providing hard-working Bakersfield people, with a chill place to hang. Be sure to arrive at about 4 P.M., before the Happy Hour ends, at 5. They have lots of great, gourmet appetizers at a reasonable prices. Our Server, Brittany was awesome, and her recommendations were delicious! Go Chef Lino!!!

Went in again for some appetizers and drinks. The place was pretty empty. The appetizers we ordered were good. The service was okay. While Chef Lino's is still not my top choice - my second experience was much better than my first.

    Raspberry Moscow mule, delicious

We came here for a brunch with our friends and we had so much fun. We came for the Galentines brunch. We were seated in a booth right away and got water and mimosas. The menu was great, it was hard to pick what to get but we were all happy with our selections. My friend and I tried the other drinks too. I loved the raspberry Moscow mule the most of all of them. For our food we ordered a veggie omelette with fruit on the side, the GOAT sandwich, the salmon lox toast and Greek chicken tacos. Everything we tried was delicious. And our server was the sweetest guy, if you go get Bryan as your waiter. He is the best

Queen bee mocktail. Meh and so boring looking

So disappointed with this restaurant! I've been waiting to try chef Lino's for a while, my husband and I needed a date night and the stars finally aligned and we went. We were sat quickly at a table. The server didn't greet us for at least 15 minutes. I ordered queen bee mocktail, the three dips with pita bread for the table, and the eggplant lasagna. My husband got the clam chowder and Gorgonzola chicken. The app took a while to come out. It came out before we got water. It was good but the babaganoush needed more eggplant and had too much yogurt. Otherwise delish. My mocktail came out in a glass with a straw. No garnish decorations a lime nothing severely disappointing for this nice of restaurant. My husband's risotto was clumpy, dry, and cold! My lasagna came out in the dish it was baked in. So weird and not aesthetic at all. I've heard many reviews swim friends that food comes out cold and service is terrible but all around I was pretty unsatisfied. Won't be going here anytime soon.

We came here for our grandson's graduation lunch. Everything was so good. We had the meatball appetizer, Greek steak tacos and lemon potett (sp?) for dessert. Everything was top shelf.

Chef Lino is hands down the best chef in town. My family loves ordering catering for him & we are all so excited for this establishment. The restaurant is dimly lit and provides a high quality dining experience at any time of the day. We were so lucky when we came for dinner one day we were offered the chef's beef Wellington and it was amazing! Perfectly cooked and we got to choose 2 sides. I usually opt for the risotto and carrots. My favorite item on the regular menu is the short rib which is fall off the bone tender and has a delicious red wine sauce. I look forward to going back again soon.

    Moussaka
    Kyle D.

Had an amazing experience at Chef Lino's Prime! I went with my mom, dad, and uncle, and it was such a great spot for a family dinner. I ordered the Moussaka and it was absolutely delicious rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. You can really taste the quality and care in every bite. We also shared the Turkish and Zhoug hummus and the baba ghanoush appetizer, and everything was incredible. The Turkish and Zhoug was absolute perfection and brought back such fond memories with every bite. The hummus was smooth and packed with flavor, and the baba ghanoush had that perfect smoky depth. Great food, warm atmosphere, and a wonderful place to enjoy a meaningful meal with family. We'll definitely be back!

Last year I made a large reservation for about 10 ladies to celebrate someone and on the way to the restaurant they called to confirm the reservation (about 30 minutes before), but I did not hear my phone. When I arrived, a distraught friend told me that they did not have our reservation so I asked what the issue was. The manager told me because I did not confirm, they were not sure they were going to hold the table. I apologized that I had not recieved a call, but asked if we could still have the table (I was there on time and could see the large table with the reservation note on it). The manager begrungenly said they would allow us to still dine with them, but they said they would not seat us until more of our party arrived. I asked if we could wait for our party at the bar, but they said they would not because every seat at the bar was taken. So just a heads up, you cannot stand at the bar, you cannot stand around the restaurant, and they do not have a place to sit and wait for your table, you just have to stand outside (I'm sure it has to do with safety or firecodes, I didn't argue, we waited outside until people at the bar left). Once we were seated, the staff was not friendly. Wondering if we should leave or not, I called a friend who works near the building who frequents this place often on what I should do. He told me to go back inside and that the staff would be nice. When I returned, a new server came to our table with a tray of shots and said they would be taking care of us for the rest of the evening. I figured maybe the manager and that other server was just having a bad day, my friend must have called the restaurant and asked his most trusted server to help us, and enjoyed the rest of our evening. I didn't want to risk it another bad experience, so I haven't returned since. A few months ago during the whole Cesar Chavez news broke out, that friend who frequented the place went with another friend to the Botonist and was talking about the news while they were dining. The manager overheard. Later when my friends were getting ready to leave, the manager started becoming upset with my friends and told my guy friend, "I HOPE SOMEBODY R*PES YOU". Stunned, he asked her to repeat herself and she did. My friends left. The chefs and building are wonderful, but obviously something needs to be done about the management and staff with being professional and treating customers with respect. I've worked in the service industry and understand how stressful it can be, but I have always been able to keep my cool around people who are trying to enjoy a nice meal. Hoping they recieve the help they need as I love to see my community thrive.

There was no host stand, no greeting, and no indication of what we were supposed to do. I eventually asked the bartender about our reservation. He seemed mildly annoyed that I had interrupted whatever invisible task he was doing and told us we'd have to wait for the host. So we waited. And waited. Once seated, we ordered drinks and were served warm bread with butter knives. The problem? There was no butter. Instead, there were candles heating cups of drawn garlic butter that nobody explained. The waiter described it as a powerhouse flavor. Imagine garlic butter LaCroix. Technically present, but only as a rumor. The pacing of service was glacial. Not relaxed. Not upscale. Just slow. The entire evening felt like a social experiment where everyone involved was pretending to operate a fine dining restaurant while waiting to see if customers would notice. We ordered the stuffed mushrooms, which were apparently a house favorite. I sincerely hope that's no longer true. The filling was confusing enough, but someone decided to glaze them with a sweet sauce that made the entire dish taste like a dare. We took a few bites and surrendered. Then came the steaks. My fiancée ordered the filet medium rare. It arrived with the texture of warm oatmeal and was drowning beneath balsamic reduction and Gorgonzola. The steak itself was so soft and underdone it resembled a pink marshmallow more than beef. My strip steak arrived covered in gravy. Not a sauce. Gravy. To complete the experience, we both ordered baked potatoes. Because surely nobody can mess up a baked potato. We were informed that bacon and sour cream would cost an additional $2. Nothing says "premium steakhouse" quite like nickel-and-diming toppings for a baked potato. By the end of the meal, we were struggling to identify a single redeeming part of the experience. The service was slow. The food was baffling. The atmosphere felt like everyone--staff and customers alike--was participating in the same awkward experiment. Horse in the Alley desperately wants to be a fine dining destination. Unfortunately, wanting and being are two very different things. ***Our server Samantha was very sweet and even comped the stuffed mushrooms. But this was easily the worst $200 I've ever spent.
