Duck breast with crispy brussel sprouts and parm risotto
    Amber S.

Tried this spot for the first time. It is a nicer date night restaurant but you can still show up in shorts and a T-shirt and not feel two out of place. Seemed really popular for larger groups but you would need reservations. We don't have a reservation but were seated quickly. The menu is on the pricier end but the food was delicious. The house salad was a standout as it included so much-cucumber, eggs, croutons, red onions and large chunks of blue cheese as we wanted blue cheese. I would ask for dressing on the side though. We had the duck, parm risotto, crispy brussel sprouts. And then lamb with rice pilaf and mash. Only complaint is the food took a while to come out and then when done a while to be bagged up. Overall good spot and would come back.

Drink on the left: i dont recall the name but it was a reposado margarita with foam. Drink on the right: House margarita

I had a great meal last night. The Ambiance was on point. Our food arrived fast, and our server was really nice. I strongly recommend anyone to try their parmesan risotto. Thank you kindly!

I was treated to this gorgeous spot by my Yelp bestie and wow!...what a vibe! From the moment we walked in I was fascinated by the decor. It looks so upscale, stylish, and totally sets the mood for a fun night out. Our host Kimberly was amazing ! She was welcoming and came to check on us at all the right times. Happy hour was a total win! We ordered a few things to share like the pita pizza, Greek tacos, Cajun butter shrimp, and stuffed mushrooms. Honestly everything was absolutely delicious. My personal favorite had to be the Greek shrimp tacos, they were packed with flavor and gone way too fast. I also ordered the Cadillac margarita and it was made to perfection. The presentation was beautiful and it tasted just as good as it looked. Such a fun experience with great food, great drinks, and even better company. Definitely a happy hour spot I'd come back to again!

The beautiful berry salad, but with romaine instead of spinach.

Another excellent visit to Chef Lino's Prime. This place has just been spot on every visit. The service is always excellent. The menu is so interesting it makes it hard to decide what to order. I want to try everything. The dushes we decided on were amazingly good

Went to Chef Lino's last night and were able to walk in without a reservation. Our server, Casie (I believe), was incredibly attentive. We'd only been once in the afternoon before, but wow--the atmosphere at night is completely different. It has this smooth, 50s jazz, old-era vibe that feels special the moment you walk in. The food was fantastic. The Caesar salad was solid--still chasing that Golden Steer gold standard from Vegas, but it was good. The filet was outstanding for the second time; perfectly seasoned and truly top-tier quality. The lobster was delicious, though the portion was on the smaller side. My husband had the Cajun shrimp with risotto, and while the shrimp was great, the risotto was an absolute standout. Also worth noting--the Old Fashioned was one of the best we've had locally. Can't wait to come back and try more of the menu.

I mean, what did we expect for Bakersfield, lol. Mildly disappointed and broke the bank. First of all, my dad wanted to watch the ball game because he's a red-blooded American dude or something and they sat us outside, even though there were TVs indoors. Twas weird but we looked past it. I may watch too many reality cooking shows because when I see the Chef's name in the name of the restaurant, I immediately assume it's going to be a life-changing dining experience. This was... meh. A for effort, for sure. I mean they even called their zucchini "Courgettes" to be fancy. But when you name something to sound upscale, for the love of God deliver on the taste. They were good, but when you're taking out a second mortgage to pay for dinner you expect a Sleepless in Seattle-esq moment when you taste it. I appreciated our waitress--she was doing the best she could. But when we asked for some bread (which we had to pay for) and a half-hour went by and we still hadn't gotten it, we got curious. Thankfully they have massive windows to put the indoors on display because we saw our waitress inside bussing tables. No wonder it took so long! Over the course of the evening, I ordered three vodka tonics. The first two were good, but the third was vodka soda. I still drank it because, hi, alcohol, but it was a bummer. The food was nothing to write home about. And when the check came, I thought my elderly father was going to stroke out. I appreciate the effort, but it seems the days of really fantastic dining is in the past.

The Old WIKI's is Keepin' it Cool, and providing hard-working Bakersfield people, with a chill place to hang. Be sure to arrive at about 4 P.M., before the Happy Hour ends, at 5. They have lots of great, gourmet appetizers at a reasonable prices. Our Server, Brittany was awesome, and her recommendations were delicious! Go Chef Lino!!!

Went in again for some appetizers and drinks. The place was pretty empty. The appetizers we ordered were good. The service was okay. While Chef Lino's is still not my top choice - my second experience was much better than my first.

    Raspberry Moscow mule, delicious

We came here for a brunch with our friends and we had so much fun. We came for the Galentines brunch. We were seated in a booth right away and got water and mimosas. The menu was great, it was hard to pick what to get but we were all happy with our selections. My friend and I tried the other drinks too. I loved the raspberry Moscow mule the most of all of them. For our food we ordered a veggie omelette with fruit on the side, the GOAT sandwich, the salmon lox toast and Greek chicken tacos. Everything we tried was delicious. And our server was the sweetest guy, if you go get Bryan as your waiter. He is the best

So disappointed with this restaurant! I've been waiting to try chef Lino's for a while, my husband and I needed a date night and the stars finally aligned and we went. We were sat quickly at a table. The server didn't greet us for at least 15 minutes. I ordered queen bee mocktail, the three dips with pita bread for the table, and the eggplant lasagna. My husband got the clam chowder and Gorgonzola chicken. The app took a while to come out. It came out before we got water. It was good but the babaganoush needed more eggplant and had too much yogurt. Otherwise delish. My mocktail came out in a glass with a straw. No garnish decorations a lime nothing severely disappointing for this nice of restaurant. My husband's risotto was clumpy, dry, and cold! My lasagna came out in the dish it was baked in. So weird and not aesthetic at all. I've heard many reviews swim friends that food comes out cold and service is terrible but all around I was pretty unsatisfied. Won't be going here anytime soon.

Chef Lino is hands down the best chef in town. My family loves ordering catering for him & we are all so excited for this establishment. The restaurant is dimly lit and provides a high quality dining experience at any time of the day. We were so lucky when we came for dinner one day we were offered the chef's beef Wellington and it was amazing! Perfectly cooked and we got to choose 2 sides. I usually opt for the risotto and carrots. My favorite item on the regular menu is the short rib which is fall off the bone tender and has a delicious red wine sauce. I look forward to going back again soon.

Really excited to have a new place on our side of town. The changes that were made to the inside really open up the whole place and completely change the feel. Been twice for lunch and once for a late night cocktail. The food has been really well prepared, the lamb kebab was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Loved the chicken salad sandwich (my weakness) and that you can swap out the fries to a healthier vegetable. Excited to try for dinner. Cocktails are well made and balanced. Personally always felt Bakersfield is more of a $12-15 a cocktail kinda place and they are on the higher end. Not sure how it happened but I ordered a last word and they ended up charging $25 for it..... The service has been friendly but a little inconsistent but that can almost be expected when they are training up a new staff.

We haven been to Chef Lino's Pour House and we are so excited to have them come to the Southwest! They took over the prime location of Wiki's on Ming and Buena Vista. The interior is nicely remodeled, with a dark and sophisticated tone. The wait staff was extremely attentive. We ordered ribeye and prime rib. The prime rib has an amazing herb crust and was very flavorful. The prime rib was cooked perfectly and that radish sauce was to die for. I had the chocolate soufflé it was warm, soft, simply amazing. My wife's strawberry cheesecake has crazy amount of crumble on top. The bar looked fun, just like the old days at Wiki's. Highly recommend this place!

Last time there, I had the tuna filet because it cost less than the beef or lamb, and it was equally good, The escargot is very good too. This place has some real history and it reeks of it from the horseshoe shaped bar to the one table reserved for the in house ghost. Back in the day this location was once called The Office, so when businessmen were having a drink after a long day, they could call home and say "Hey Honey, I'm gonna be a little late, I'm still at The Office," and they wouldn't be lying. There's still the remains of an olde phone booth near the bar. I wish I could afford to eat here more often, the "Brandy Blu Filet" is melt in your mouth awesome.

There was no host stand, no greeting, and no indication of what we were supposed to do. I eventually asked the bartender about our reservation. He seemed mildly annoyed that I had interrupted whatever invisible task he was doing and told us we'd have to wait for the host. So we waited. And waited. Once seated, we ordered drinks and were served warm bread with butter knives. The problem? There was no butter. Instead, there were candles heating cups of drawn garlic butter that nobody explained. The waiter described it as a powerhouse flavor. Imagine garlic butter LaCroix. Technically present, but only as a rumor. The pacing of service was glacial. Not relaxed. Not upscale. Just slow. The entire evening felt like a social experiment where everyone involved was pretending to operate a fine dining restaurant while waiting to see if customers would notice. We ordered the stuffed mushrooms, which were apparently a house favorite. I sincerely hope that's no longer true. The filling was confusing enough, but someone decided to glaze them with a sweet sauce that made the entire dish taste like a dare. We took a few bites and surrendered. Then came the steaks. My fiancée ordered the filet medium rare. It arrived with the texture of warm oatmeal and was drowning beneath balsamic reduction and Gorgonzola. The steak itself was so soft and underdone it resembled a pink marshmallow more than beef. My strip steak arrived covered in gravy. Not a sauce. Gravy. To complete the experience, we both ordered baked potatoes. Because surely nobody can mess up a baked potato. We were informed that bacon and sour cream would cost an additional $2. Nothing says "premium steakhouse" quite like nickel-and-diming toppings for a baked potato. By the end of the meal, we were struggling to identify a single redeeming part of the experience. The service was slow. The food was baffling. The atmosphere felt like everyone--staff and customers alike--was participating in the same awkward experiment. Horse in the Alley desperately wants to be a fine dining destination. Unfortunately, wanting and being are two very different things. ***Our server Samantha was very sweet and even comped the stuffed mushrooms. But this was easily the worst $200 I've ever spent.

I've eaten at the Tennessee locations several times, and they've always had outstanding ribeyes, so I was excited to see how Cali did it. Because this review is epic (IMO) is wanna give a shoutout to Jacob one of the managers ,Daniel our server, Siera the Bartender and Danette also a Manager. When we walked in, one of the managers, Jacob, greeted and seated us, and he happened to be carrying a basket of those buttered rolls with that honey butter, to our table. My lady was definitely hangry, and I think he sensed it because he ensured we didn't have to wait to start eating. Jacob, thank you--I appreciated that more than you probably realized.. THE GRUB: Our first appetizer was the Rattlesnake Bites. They're fried balls filled with cheese and jalapeños. Flavor-wise, they were very tasty, but the texture just wasn't for me. I'd give them 2 out of 5 stars. The best way I can describe them is a ball of crispy crust filled with very soft, almost soupy cheese. Again, the flavor was great--I just expected a different texture. For our Mains my wife ordered the catfish with a loaded baked potato and a side salad. She loved it. She said the catfish was thick, meaty, and seasoned perfectly. The baked potato was cooked just right and topped with ,sour cream, bacon and cheddar, the salad was fresh, and she even commented on how the ranch dressing tasted homemade. Easy 5 out of 5 stars for the catfish plate. I ordered the full rack of ribs with loaded mashed potatoes, and we also got the loaded macaroni and cheese. Apparently, Texas Roadhouse really loves bacon and cheese... and so do I, so we were a perfect match! Everything was flavorful, comforting, and exactly what I was hoping for. 5/5 stars Our server, Daniel, was fantastic. He offered great suggestions, kept my drink filled without me ever having to ask, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. He played a big part in making our first California visit a great one. I also want to recognize Danette, who I believe was the general manager--or at least she carried herself like the person who keeps everything running. She was warm, funny, and genuinely cared about our experience. When she learned we weren't crazy about the Rattlesnake Bites, she immediately removed them from our bill and even gave us a complimentary appetizer for our next visit. That level of customer service says a lot about how they value their guests, and how she wanted our experience to be just right. Finally, a shout-out to Siera the bartender. She was incredibly sweet, and we really enjoyed chatting with her. Honestly, we almost wished we'd sat at the bar, she had been by her lonesome the hour and ten minutes we were there. As we were leaving, she reminded us that we could take some of those delicious rolls home. Since we had ordered a meal for our youngest--who isn't a fan of ribs or catfish--we were excited for her to try the rolls too. It was such a thoughtful ending to an already wonderful interaction. Texas Roadhouse atmosphere and food absolutely delivered. Great food, outstanding service, and a team that genuinely cares about its guests. This California location definitely lived up to the reputation I'd come to expect from Texas Roadhouse right here in Cali.. Texas Roadhouse for the win--5 out of 5 stars!

Thank you to the wonderful people who work here and the management who ensures the wonderful food, topnotch service and people who work here, like Fernando and Mykayla! I'm always going to dine here when I make my client rounds in Bakersfield and will surely make it a point to bring family and friends here when they are with me.

First time here and only came because a coworker and I were celebrating for today 07/25/26…read more The setup is so beautiful, dim lighting great for date night. My bartender was LUIS. I had seen my bartender at THD and at both of my gyms and would've never imagined him to be so skillful in the mix. I was told he is so amazing to the point where he has people following him. I say this because the lovely couple I met today told me they met with LUIS a while ago and have kept in contact to the point they follow where he goes and this is them knowing him over YEARS and now he is here!!! I had no food just grown up juice. LUIS'S first drink served a punch only because my coworker asked for it before I got there, but even though it had a kick it was WHISKEY SOUR APPROVED! I did ask LUIS if he made his sours with egg white and he ran to the kithcen and made my drink the way I LOVE!!! Perfect drink perfect, perfect pour what more cane you aske for!!! Yes I did ask LUIS if I can record him and he gave his consent. Thank you Luis.

Service was fast, food was super yummy aside from the octopus i had which was chewy? Im not sure if octopus is normally that texture, i thought itd be more like calamari which i love. Desert was yum too. I got a free slice of flan but the their sparkler candle fizzled out before the end of the bday song which was a lil awkward lol Really cool vibe of this place, i sat on a really comfy sofa with pillows and my husband sat across from me in like a couch chair haha. Dim lighting for sure but I think it just adds to the ambiance. Also there was a cool looking bar. Maybe would go back on a weekend next time later in the evening to experience this place at its peak.
