Brunch Review: Hard to review them as this was only the second weekend they had for brunch and were clearly taking feedback and looking for ways to improve. The good is that you get garlic tri-tip, linguica and of course picanha (delicious). The biggest surprise was the fried chicken, it is rolled in cheese bread batter and fried in beef tallow, it was some of the best chicken I have had in town. Unfortunately the full buffet section is not full and it is missing quite a few items from dinner. Service was a little uneven but I am sure part of it was just not knowing what the response would be. I've been to Brazilian restaurants in San Antonio and Houston. I never in my life thought that this place would be the worst food and service. The food was cold, the salad bar was not up to what it should be. Also they had warmers that were cold mash potatoes, rice and other vegetables. The the cheddar bread was raw inside and cold and excuse my language tasted like S$$$. The server was too busy, but the place was empty on a Saturday evening. The meat portions were tuff and served wth puny cold pieces. Chicken Wings and sausages were served and never received filet mignon or a decent piece of steak. meat. For $70 that was insane. As for our service we received our water 30 mins after being sat and started dining. We received our alcoholic beverages shortly before our water. We were headed home and my husband mentioned wanting to stop in at Flame & Fire but not prepared or hungry enough for the full meal. I had heard some coworkers talk about the amazing Happy Hour, so we decided to give it a try. HH starts at 4:30pm and it was just a bit past that time, so everything was going our way. We were greeted right at the door and encouraged to head to the bar. The area is very inviting and the chairs are super comfortable. It was just the 2 of us but there were other tables occupied and a couple people seated at the bar. It was a Wednesday night and others had our idea and seemed to be enjoying the options. We ordered a couple drinks. I got the mango caipirinha. I'd never ordered this before but I am a new fan. Delicious! There are other flavors if you are not a mango person. I used to love this place, we come every celebration & anniversaries and today was a just because moment, When we first sat our hostess Amari I think her name was I'm sorry if it's not ( it did start with an A, petite really sweet girl, was by herself ) seated us then we had to wait for our male server with a V, we waited awhile at first but he was helping other tables so tried to be patient but then he collected other menus and talked to other tables looking at is but ignored us until I asked as he was passing if we can get menus pls ?? He said he was busy then came a few minutes later to help, he got us our drinks but left out things we never got in the end, he wasn't really out either at all maybe 3 times in the hour 1/2 we were there, I needed a different water and waited over 30mins he still wasn't out on the floor at all but the hostess was the one who checked on us & helped us out more than once, super sweet girl & so happy it was really nice with her ! They kept forgetting us passing by with the meats which is crazy for $70 getting passed 3 times in the first hour ??? The green card was up in the corner we had our 2 girls with us who love to eat there too so it's hard to miss a family close to the middle of the room but okay ig, the prices have gone up and up which would be fine if the service matched the scene/vibe of fine dining they are trying to put. Then I tried a piece of chicken from my husband while we were waiting to find him to get the check at the end, I usually just get the market table, Idc for the meats but he was wanting me to try how he didn't favor the Parmesan chicken from his plate and look how fast our server was to finally come to us after being gone practically the whole time just to say he wanted to charge me for the $70 endless meats for the bite of chicken I took since there's " no sharing " like okay you're quick to come charge us but we can't get water refill for 45mins with kids ??? First and foremost, Valentino outstanding!! And Alexia, Corey, and Chris followed Valentino's lead and then did just awesome. The whole family of four really enjoyed ourselves. Kids were 14 and 5 years old. It was great atmosphere and family-friendly. Service ended up just doing supremely. We love that. Went here 6 months later and things definitely improved! Me and hubby both got rodizo buffet option. We still ordered a side of tallow fries (my favorite) and the meats were coming by at a good pace and the servers were very polite. I was reluctant on getting the buffet option because I thought the meats weren't going to be fresh but it was fresh and hot. We had chicken wrapped in bacon, different cuts of beef, pork belly, steak wrapped in bacon, candied bacon, spicy chicken, lamb, & pork belly. I enjoy their halloumi cheese slices and pineapple slices they also bring around it's a nice pair to your meats and their cheese bread they drop off. I will say idk how people can eat so much meat I think I was almost done after trying everything at least once. As far as sirloins, ribeyes, tri-tips, and lamb; they only brought those around once! And when my friend, whose birthday we were celebrating, wanted more lamb, asked for more, the waiter said they would bring it out and they never did. We were there for an entire hour before we left and they never brought out the lamb. Also, when we saw the people carrying the meats making their passes on the floor, they passed our table, multiple times. I don't know what happened, and why they kept skipping our table. But obviously they are trying to cut back on the red meats. I understand that the price of red meat is high, but also is that $70 Rodizio price tag. Not worth it to me. But hey to each their own. If you want all are vibes, lots of sides and very little actual red cuts, then this place is awesome. But if you want to be bombarded with delicious meats, then probably find another spot. read more

I've been sitting on this review because I wasn't sure where to start. I was excited to visit Flame & Fire for a nice dinner out. The entrance was lovely and reminded me of a Vegas property. But that's where it ended. To the left was a sizeable bar area, and to the right the main dining. Scanning the room I noticed something missing, booths. All the seating were your standard wooden square tables with pretty standard ladder chairs. And most surprising of all, no tablecloths. While this isn't a dealbreaker for me, and by no means is an indicator for a restaurants quality it is a bit of a disappointment when I was expecting a more refined aesthetic. Especially for the price. The meats were all great, and there's no shortage of them - I don't need to tell you about that. The market tables (aka buffet) offer plenty of side options, though the placement of said table in the room felt a bit off. Maybe it would be better off in a separate space, I'm not really sure. Since everyone is constantly getting up to visit the market tables, you'll want to make sure your table isn't in the main path. Otherwise, you run the risk of getting bumped, which happened to me more than once. Will I return? More than likely! I just wish they'd upgrade to tablecloths! read more

They also leaned more well done the last time I went, but you can always ask for rarer pieces. The salad bar is pretty solid. The main gem is their happy hour. Similar to other Brazilian Steakhouses, the burger is likely using fresh grounded beef in-house (which makes sense to reduce meat waste from their AYCE experience). Only downside is that they have limited happy hour times vs Fogo de Chao having it all day. Service- 4 stars The ambiance is nice, as tables are pretty spaced out, plenty of seating, and it's very clean and modern. Servers can be a hit or miss, as you have some staff who constantly check on you, but other times when you have to call someone over Bottom Line Solid Brazilian Steakhouse with an AYCE experience that can be a hit or miss. Came here on a Saturday night as a dinner invite from a company med rep. We were a big group a total of 16 people. The service was great and our male server was nice too. The meats keep on coming until I was the one who said pass for now lol. Food was great as well though some beef was difficult to chew. My fave was the grilled pineapple, mango salad, cheese bread (forgot what it's called) and the picanha beef cut. They also have wide range of market table choices that I wasn't able to try all since it's plenty. The manager also went around different tables and checked on us as well. I was so excited to try this place out, and spend a big buck on this. Unfortunately it did not meet the expectations. $70 per person, drinks not included. No dessert bar. I did love their bread, it was cheesy and warm. However I had to ask our waitress multiple times to bring another round..
