This was my second time coming here and i can stay still a great place to eat and have a good time. The chef was very friendly and funny making the table laugh. The serve on the other hand was very attentive to the other gentleman's that were sitting down at the table way more than to myself and my boyfriend. She as well spilled some water on my food not such a big deal but something that caught my eye. I took my mom out for her birthday Saturday evening and overall the experience started off great. We were seated on time, and the chef was very nice and personable. He went over our plates and started the show, which we enjoyed. I would have loved to give this place 5 stars, but unfortunately there was an issue with the meat portions for my brother and my husband. When my brother brought it to the chef's attention, the chef removed meat from my husband's plate and gave it to my brother. I honestly did not find that appropriate. The correct way to handle the situation would have been to bring out additional meat to fix the mistake, not take food directly from another guest's plate. While we are family what if we weren't? What if we had just met at that dinner? I suggest handling these types of errors in a more hygienic and professional manner. With better attention to this, the experience could truly be a 5 star one. read more

I can't believe I have not been to this place. We were invited to here for a birthday and thought it was a new restaurant. The ambiance of the place is great and Asian decors on point. I love the koi pond, i think it was a great addition to the restaurant. The price for the teppanyaki meats though were pricey but it tasted really good. I wasn't able to try the sushi though. I haven't been here in a while and now I can't figure out why?! I think this is the best teppanyaki place in town! From the cool koi pond in the lobby to the funny chef Luis, we couldn't have picked a better place for our celebration! The food was delicious! chef Luis cooked all the steak exactly how we requested and the garlic butter sauce he made for the shrimp and scallops was perfection! This was our first time at Tokyo Garden and were pleasantly impressed. The koi pond at the entrance is a very nice touch. We didn't have a reservation, but were accommodated. The ladies are very friendly and are also very funny/ playful. I wasn't expecting that at all. My husband and I shared a Ny steak and chicken Teppanyaki and my son got a sushi roll called "The Thing". The cook was also very funny and got our table to sing happy birthday for our son. This is our go to place for family events. We love this place. The staff are all so sweet and friendly. The koi pond by the entrance is my kids favorite spot to sit and look at the beautiful fish. I don't do too many reviews, but this is one worth reviewing. My wife and I went to Tokyo Garden for our 25th anniversary, and we were impressed from arrival to departure. We arrived early for our reservation time, but the staff was quick to care for us. The atmosphere, complete with koi pond was great. This was not my first teppanyaki experience by far, but it was for my wife. she thoroughly enjoyed herself as did I, whether it was the chef at our table, or the fun noises and cheers coming from another table. With it being Mother's Day weekend, the chefs celebrated not only Mother's Day, but the other celebrations going on. The chef's antics while skillfully cooking our food were excellent, and his cooking skills top notch. The food.......EXCELLENT. The miso soup was very good, though I think it could have used a little more filler. My wife ordered the Teriyaki Steak for her meal while I ordered the New York and Shrimp combo. Both dishes were delicious (the chef gave me a couple pieces of my wife's steak as well). My steak had a nice crust on it, it was extremely tender and flavorful, and melted in my mouth. The shrimp were equally flavorful and tasty. The fried rice that accompanies the meal is some of the best restaurant fried rice I've had; it was not dry and it equally flavorful. The table fried vegetables did not disappoint either, being tasty and just firm enough to add texture to the meal. The best part of it all, in my opinion? The ginger sauce and hot mustard that accompany the meals as optional dips. They took the veggies (with the ginger sauce and shrimp) and steak (for hot mustard) to a whole new level. My wife and I both enjoyed eating the ginger sauce on the veggies and I the hot mustard on my steak. Surprisingly, the hot mustard was not as hot as other hot mustard I have had before. It had just enough hot spice to add flavor but not overwhelm the steak, while not killing the taste buds either. But that ginger sauce? They need to bottle and sell that. It would be goon on anything (in fact, I just finished my left over fried rice upon which I put some of the ginger sauce on, and the sauce on the rice really improved its flavor as well. My only regret, if any? Some sort of small desert would have been good, like a small serving of an ice cream with a cookie would have been good to make the price. The price? I knew going in a teeppnyaki restaurant is not the cheapest necessarily, but for our two meals it was not as bad as I felt it would be (before our generous tip, well earned of course). Not only will my wife and I be back again some time, we will be bringing our boys with us at some point or other friends with us. Well done, Tokyo Garden. What a show. It was my first time visiting Tokyo Garden on a Friday Night. We had a 7pm reservation for Teppanyaki, but we were not seated until about 7:15. There was a line out the door. We were attended to promptly once seated. The Teppanyaki Chef put on a great show, and the food all had excellent flavor. We recently went to Tokyo Garden to celebrate a birthday party. I feel like the service was very rushed and they kept trying to get us out of there. The Teppanyaki was some what bland and wasn't packing as much flavor as you would hope for out of a 40 dollar plate. I will say, the fried rice was delicious and just the right amount of crispy. The sushi rolls were also fantastic! They were both so flavorful and well balanced. Hana Fuji Apple sake was phenomenal and paired well with the sushi rolls. If you're coming for sushi it's an excellent place, but if you're going for teppanyaki there's better places in town! read more

We decided to go here for my daughter's birthday celebration! I was very disappointed in the service. The hostess was very serious and not friendly at all! Our chef was nice but totally do not serve one of the people in our party his protein! I pointed it to it and he did make him the chicken he had ordered, but by the time he served it the rest of us were finished and they were handing out to go containers! Really sad to write this review. I moved out of town for about 15 years and when I left TG was one of the best restaurants in town. Sad to say that is no longer the case. Right when you walk in the vibe is so blah! There is real musk smell in the air like there is or was a roach problem( didn't see any signs of roaches) service was definitely below average and the sushi menu was just off, it was really boring and hard read, honestly we wanted to leave because nothing really seemed worth ordering. Prices were definitely higher than the food was worth. The sushi was just ok.
