Very Disappointing Experience First off, the service was terrible. It took over 30 minutes for our food to come out, despite the restaurant not being very busy. The hibachi chicken was cut into huge, uneven chunks, and the portion of rice looked like it was being rationed. The presentation overall was not very appealing. We were also given the wrong vegetables, and when the carrots were brought out separately, they looked undercooked to the point that I didn't feel comfortable eating them. The sushi was also extremely disappointing. The rolls looked like they had simply been thrown onto the plate rather than being properly arranged and presented. Presentation was easily a 0/10, and the sushi itself was maybe a 3/10. I eat at a lot of Asian restaurants around Greenville, and unfortunately, Koi would be one of the worst experiences I've had. Between the poor service, incorrect food, lack of presentation, and disappointing quality, I would not recommend Koi if you're looking for good Asian cuisine. read more

Honestly I feel like this one is a hit or miss. For the starter we got the sushi pizza which you can chose whatever fish you want for and I chose salmon. This is the best thing I have gotten in a very long time. We got 3 different rolls one of them was good which was the cheapest one funny enough and called the crunchy crab roll I think and the other two weren't very good. One of them literally only had crab stick inside and out I only ate one bite. The other one looked nothing like the picture on the menu(the volcano roll). We got teriyaki tofu and rice which was also just alright in my opinion but a lot better than those two rolls lol. The Koy Asian Bistro is a bit hidden, off Pelham Road, but worth finding. They have the best Chinese food in Greenville at reasonable prices. This restaurant is beautiful inside, we called ahead in case we needed reservations and they said there was no wait but they would get a table for us. We get there and we got the VIP table (very fancy) 5 of us had Lettuce Wraps, seafood combo Pad Thai, Vegetable Spring Rolls, Mussels Yaki, tiger maki, blooming egg plant, volcano roll, bagel roll. I normally don't list everything but when I say, everything was fresh and hot and made from scratch.... guys, this food was amazing. The server was incredible, got our order from memory and we rattled off a lot. Dessert was amazing from fried cheesecake, lava chocolate cake and my favorite was the fried bananas with ice cream. The Chicken pad Thai here was so weird. It was pink! The chicken and noodles were literally pink. Is that normal? I've had tons of different pad Thai and it's never been pink. The taste was not that great either, definitely on the list for the worst pad thai I've ever had. You can also tell the quality of the chicken wasn't good either.. The crab Rangoon I ordered was not good either. It barley had crab and they forgot to give me the sauce that goes with it. Wouldn't recommend either of these plates from here. Does not disappoint! I love Asian cuisine, and thought that we should give this place a try after having it recommended to me by a friend. We got there around 5:45 on a Saturday night and it was not crowded. We were seated right away without a reservation, and with it operating at half capacity due to COVID-19 regulations. I was unsure what to get because everything on the menu looked delicious, and the reviews on yelp said the same thing. I will say the same. All four dishes that my friend and I had were terrific. The sushi and sashimi were very high quality and not chewy at all. The sashimi tuna was especially flavorful, and had exquisite texture, which is something I do not normally experience when ordering sushi with tuna or sashimi tuna. Highly recommend trying their sushi or sashimi... wish I would have gotten one of the sushi & sashimi combos for dinner quite honestly. Our main courses were great as well. My friend had the clay pot seafood which came sizzling hot (literally, considered yourself warned), and was a great portion size. My spicy seafood was good, but slightly oily from the stir-fry, but that is to be expected. The seafood was all excellent tasting and quality. Other than the oil/grease in my spicy seafood entree and the acid reflux that ensued, the dinner was epic! I will definitely be returning, especially for some more sushi and sashimi! The service was decent, but not outstanding. However, I would like to note that the staff was very busy taking to go orders over the phone and rolling out a lot of sushi due to COVID-19.
