Came here while visiting my bestie. Apparently this place has been around for a long time. She mentioned that her grandparents used to eat here often. For that nostalgia alone, I thought it was fun. It definitely has an old school diner vibe. We ordered a BLT, hamburger and some kid meals. Our server was newer and he did great! Everything tasted fine. Nothing too salty. I am a fan of crinkle cut fries so I was (literally) eating them up. The plaza this restaurant is located in has some cute shops, market and an adorable bookstore so we walked around after. That was a lot fun.

This is supposed to be a cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato and pickle.

Well, this is disappointing, I dont know why I didn't just go to Wendy's.... The only good thing about my order was a salad.

Chef-o-nette is definitely cute. Love the retro look, really looked like an old time diner. We sat at the counter around 11 and it wasn't busy. Prices aren't too bad. We both opted for the egg sandwiches, mine with no meat. We added tomato which we were told would cost about ¢20-50 to add, it was a dollar. I also added a side of hash browns, and I pointedly asked if it was cooked on a separate drier from the meat products, and both the waitress and manager who was close by assured me it was. My friend added a biscuit and sausage gravy. Food came- and right on top of the hashbrowns was a bit of bacon. I'm glad it was on top and I didn't eat it, but really disappointing. The sandwich was VERY skimpy. One egg, one piece of cheese, one tomato. A lot of my bread had nothing on it. While it was only $5 I still expect more than that. My friend had a bagel sandwich and with meat it looked more substational than mine. She said the sausage gravy had a very plasticy taste, like it came from a package. They did take the hashbrowns off my bill and I got cottage cheese instead. Service was friendly, but didn't see her much considering it wasn't busy. My friend got a to-go box and it was dirty inside so she had to ask for another. Disappointing trip to be sure and won't be back.

Biscuits and gravy with two eggs. Awesomely good. This was a first for us but, it won't be the last

This place hasn't skipped a beat since I went in my teens. Same look, same taste. No joke. You want an authentic retro throwback dining experience? Go. My kid self ALWAYS ordered a grilled cheese, fries and chocolate shake. My adult self doesn't stray too far, grilled ham and cheese, fries, and sprite. What can I say? Stick with what I know here. Service fab. Prices so reasonable. Mm mm food.

Decent food and service. Burger fries and coke, $12. Cash tip. Interesting thet they have a "drive thru". Nothing crave-able that I ate, but a decent lunch and happy to support a small business.

A well-known and popular local eatery in the upper Arlington area, Saturday mornings are usually pretty crowded so time your visit accordingly. They do have a drive-through which is a nice bonus if you want to pull by and do a quick pick up of some of their delicious food. Typical diner selections, friendly staff and I've always found it to be a clean place to eat.

This diner makes the #1 cherry coke in America. Homemade, never fountain. The hangover platter is a classic and the prices are amazing.

I ordered a grilled chilled cheese to be safe because I suspected the quality of other items would be questionable. Unfortunately, the grilled cheese is made with one single slice of Kraft American Singles. Not even real cheese and it wasn't fully melted. The fries are frozen crinkle cut fries, also somehow cold. The bacon was gross, tastes dry and just low quality, like microwave kind? I tried my son's kid waffle which was surprisingly decent. Hash-browns were okay just unseasoned. Overall would not recommend if you're looking for quality ingredients but if you're looking for a greasy spoon you're in business. The staff was nice, probably the only positive for me.

First and foremost, a HUGE shout-out to Jasmine and Hanna for putting on one heck of a Yelp Elite event tonight! You ladies absolutely crushed it! Now let's talk about the food... because that's why you're really here, right? Everything I tried was packed with flavor, but a few things really stood out. The homemade English muffins -- YES, homemade! And you could tell. They were fantastic. The fresh avocado smash -- basically guacamole, but calling it avocado smash somehow makes it sound even better! Either way, it was fresh, flavorful, and seriously delicious. Those crispy potatoes -- perfectly seasoned with that beautiful crispy exterior. I could have eaten a whole plate of them! And then came the mimosas... OH. MY. GOODNESS. These weren't your average brunch mimosas. They were next level! I started with the blackberry, and I think that one was my favorite. Then I tried the strawberry basil, followed by the Martian, which was pineapple-based. Let's just say... the bartender knew what they were doing! Speaking of the bartenders, they were absolutely fabulous--friendly, welcoming, and keeping everyone's glasses full. Overall, this was a fantastic night with great food, incredible drinks, and an awesome group of people. This is exactly why I love being part of the Yelp Elite community! And I'm not done with The Mercury Diner yet... Next time, I'm bringing the blogger camera and doing a full-on Brian's Big Bite food review! So stay tuned, Mercury Diner... I'm coming back hungry! It was my turn, dining alone but nothing about a table for one at Scotty's is lonely. The staff are immediately welcoming and every customer is every employee's charge. Four different people helped me or just checked in. The Gina breakfast combos have lots to offer for breakfast. But I was thrilled this 9:30 am to be assured the whole menu was available. I was looking for something less common and was excited to see potato latkes with sour cream and apple sauce as an option. That would have been great but then the waitress (Salome maybe) said, "Do you like corned beef?" The Schmoozer is 3 enormous latkes with thinly shaved and lightly grilled corn beef on top with an over easy egg atop that. Seriously, I can declare victory for finding something I'd never had before. Never would have found it without the nudge. Had to cut myself off with all the coffee offers. Just a great vibe.
