Don't eat here if you have food allergies. The server told us that they were "to busy" to check the sourdough bread for soy products. Mine is mild so I didn't worry about the other stuff but I thought about walking out at that point, wish I would have. They have "Coke products" but not root beer or cherry Coke. No Dr Pepper or Mr Pibb. My Coke was stale. The tea was not fresh. My Jerk Mahi was dry and very bland/weak on the Jerk seasoning. This was our first trip here and I'm pretty sure my last. Good food, but not worth the price. The salad was $10, the avocado wasn't ripe, there was hardly any bacon on it, and then charged me $1 for subbing the type of cheese without telling me it would cost extra. Service was slow too. There are better places in the area for sure. read more

Another four star rating. Even though Chef Papa is a friend I would not give four stars lightly. But it's deserving and here is why. The cafe has not changed in appearance much since it was angel and phelps but the service and food were fantastic . The minestrone soup was fresh with big chunks of zucchini and potatoes and veggies made me wish I ordered more than a cup. It was followed by a fried fresh Cod fish sandwich on ciabatta served with fresh tartar sauce and lettuce and tomato. The waitress recommendation was spot on and she was attentive and knowledgeable. I would go back anytime and was not overpriced. Great choice for lunch or especially catered affairs as Chef Papa is a true pro in the hospitality business and shines for big parties of 30/100. read more

Loved this place! Had their sandwich special of the day which was a sliced pork sandwich with a cherry and apricot relish on a brioche bun. The relish is really what made the sandwich! We also had the "seasonal salad" which was also delicious. The best part is that the meal was surprisingly affordable for the quality of food. Chef Papas Café and Catering was perfect as our wedding caterer! We used them for our rehearsal dinner and our wedding caterer, as our wedding venue was nearby and this place was highly recommended! The food was delicious and flavorful! Guests kept telling us how good the food was. I loved having the entire restaurant to ourselves for the rehearsal dinner the night before the wedding. Callie Papa was very good at keeping organized, helping me get whatever we wanted, and being very professional. They always made sure the bride and groom had extra food to go as well! Had an AMAZING lunch here! This place motivated me to write my first review. We were heading home from a 4 day vacation in Daytona Beach where every meal we had had was horrible (wrote those reviews also). We decided to stop at Angell & Phleps to get some chocolate and this lovely lunch spot was next door. We had the best meal of our trip here!! I had a southwestern salad that was delicious, especially the dressing which was flavorful but light and 2 glasses of wine (lucky me I wasn't driving). The rest of my family had a prime rib sandwich, grilled mahi mahi sandwich, jerk chicken sandwich and pasta salad...all were delicious. But the absolute best part of our meals were the soups. OMG they're fabulous! My son had creamy chicken and rice which was great. But the potato cheese soup my husband had was one of the best soups I've ever had in my life. We loved it so much that we bought a few bowls to go and our wonderful server even packed up some ice for us to put it in our cooler for the 4 hr drive home. Highly recommend Chef Papas. So much that my next trip north from Ft Laud, I may just have to make a detour to stop off there again. read more
