It's definitely on the smaller side and not the most comfortable place to sit if that's your expectations, but perfect for grabbing a quick sandwich or pastry to go. This is a tiny, very cute, local bakery in Ormond. All the food is fantastic. I had the apple press sandwich. This is my new go to sandwich spot now. They sell out of pastries quickly, so get there early. The staff is very kind and helpful. I can not recommend this enough. read more

My sister noticed this bakery as she was driving by and invited me to check it out with her. I'm so glad she did! Thanks, sis! When we entered, the pastry case is the first thing that caught my eye! I immediately thought of scoring some yummy pastries for my amazing team. I knew they would enjoy them! And I was correct! I ordered blueberry scones, buttery croissants, hand-made brown sugar & cinnamon pop tarts, cheese danishes, chocolate chip cookies, and more. I took advantage of the great variety that was offered. There was sure to be something for everyone. I noticed that they also sell loaves of various breads, including gluten-free offerings. They even have a variety of delicious sounding sandwiches to satisfy your lunch cravings! I totally enjoyed speaking with the person who was assisting me. I'm not sure if he was the owner, but he was telling me about the business. Super friendly! I really appreciated the care he took in packaging the pastries! Met a friend there for lunch yesterday after a word of mouth recommendation. Yummy, the chicken salad sandwich $11 was delicious, the almond cookie $3 was amazing and the brown sugar pop tart this morning was worth every calorie. What a fantastic find and a spot we'll definitely revisit often. Everything was so fresh. We ordered a Cuban sandwich for lunch. Fantastic! The bread was the star. Also grabbed a raspberry pop tart and a chocolate pumpkin muffin we thoroughly enjoyed when we got home from our errands. Get there early - can see why they sell out of things quickly. Went to Uncommon Grain for the first time today, but it won't be the last! Great location in the original downtown Ormond Beach area. Service was excellent - all our questions were answered and cashier/front counter lady went back to check and see if they still had multigrain bread - we bought a loaf and it is delicious! Look forward to trying the sourdough on our next visit. The sandwiches looked great too! We also had to try the almond cookie and it was divine! Sweet little spot on Granada in Ormond Beach with delicious breads, pastries, and sandwiches (as well as a few smoothie options). Since orders are prepared fresh, do expect to wait - the traffic was steady and the storefront is small with only 4 bar stools for eating at the window. There is a restroom so that's a win! We ordered an Avo toast (VERY small portion for $10 imo) and a breakfast sandwich on a croissant (bacon, egg) which was delicious! We took home a jalapeño scone, blueberry scone (not dry - almost moist and a lovely surprise!), a cheese danish and a focaccia coffee roll. Excited to make my own avocado toast this morning and plan to return to try other offerings. It is a little on the pricey side but excellent quality. Went Christmas Eve at 9:30 a.m. with my daughter and SIL to get pastries for Christmas morning. We were the only ones in the store. We were told we could only buy 3 items as we were to be mindful of others. WHAT????? Are you kidding?? I'm sorry, when did I arrive in Communist Russia??? Uncommon Grain has the best croissants I have ever eaten, by far. They're crispy, delicious and made of real ingredients. Definitely have them warm it up for you - well worth a few minutes' wait! The Uncommon Grain is one of our absolute favorite lunch spots here in Ormond Beach. The Italian Grilled Cheese sandwich is to die for... The Jalapeno scones are a hit as well. This was our go-to sandwich shop during our month in Ormond Beach. Delicious breads and perfectly prepared sandwiches. We tried nearly everything on the menu and recommend it all. They are a small shop and do get busy around lunch. Recommend calling in the order in early and picking up.
