Fantastic take out food. Really the best Indian food in Fairfield. I only wish we could still "eat-in" there!

I was blown by how amazing the Dal Makhani was even though I asked them to make it vegan for me. Possibly the best I have had in USA! Strongly recommend the eggplant chaat- I hate eggplants but took the risk on the waiters recommendation and it was so so so good! Came on a Friday night ! First impression - hosted by a very friendly and sweet hostess and then a beautiful ambiance of the restaurant and the smell got me really excited for food! Our waiter Darden was so friendly and you can tell he loves what he does! Delicious food and amazing choice of wine and beer. Cheers to Chef Prasad for such an interesting menu and fusion of flavors! Love this Indian food! It's well worth the wait when picking up (during covid or otherwise) because it just doesn't get bette than this.

Another spectacular takeout dinner prepared with love and care 2/11/22. Expanded the repetoire to Cauliflower Manchurian along with the Shrimp - as well as Fave Chicken Tikka and Chicken Saag. Really great Indian food by a top notch chef. The Ocra is outstanding as is the Chat. Saag paneer is another winner as are the lamb chops and lamb Korma. Want to learn how to make Indian at home? Take one of Chef Prasad's classes (when things open up again). Also, and apart from the food, when the north east shut down this March, the owner demonstrated a great deal of generosity to first responders and those who lost work - despite the Corona-driven loss of business. I love thief food. Was the first take out I went to get when covid started. The chef was great. Offered free meals to first responders last year when it all first started. And for anyone who could not afford. We now get takeout about every two weeks. Only place we get it from. I love them. read more

God I miss Thali !!!!!!! And their terrific brunches!!!!! Only place for Indian food nearby and yes I would go back! Authentic and Delicious! A peaceful atmosphere and The service was & is wonderful and polite! And the men in the kitchen are very friendly and thankful for a compliment or two. My 7 year old son went to the back ( the waiter escorted him of course) to thank them for a delicious diner. Basically thanking them for awesome 'naan' and tandoori chicken. BUT THIS Tandoori Chicken was made with no spice ( for him ) And was soooo flavorful and the juiciest chicken ever! Other places it comes out a little or mostly dry. Well Why not! It was in a Tandoori Oven. You would think. But they defied the odds and this made me take home an extra order of it!! This is a wonderful asset to the town and to all the boring selections of food that seem to be everywhere. -They could expand their liquor selection- This is not the reason for 4 stars. The beauty of this place is that if you know of any other Indian plate, they will make it. But these 'plates' are a classic to Thali and wonderfully delicious .... so why aren't they on the menu??? Ex: Butter Chicken is a delight with amazing sauce and is safe on the spice side for kids. ..... Common Chef! Put some of these classics back on the menu!!! Please?!?! I ordered delivery and it was terrific. The portion was huge. While my order was basic (chicken tikka masala and samosas) it was clear it was made with the highest quality ingredients. Very disappointed. I will never complain about my usual Indian place again. They use at least double the amount of cream and tomato, naan chock full of garlic - at least 10 cloves, and always used cubed white chicken breast. I got two orders of watery tikka and thin and dry naan for $90. I thought quality would come with the higher price and that it would be a treat! I really just can't believe it. read more
